Hypnosis - Jace is able to put enemies or allies to sleep. The duration depends on how strong minded the person is and what they were doing. Putting an enemy to sleep while they’re in a fight may only last a few minutes or even mere seconds.

Dream Surfing and Manipulation - The ability to enter people’s dreams, view them silently or manipulate them and move from one to the other. Jace can use this in many different ways. Giving an enemy a terrible nightmare or helping someone access a distant memory. The more Jace changes a dream the more likely a person will take notice he’s there. Jace came up with the name.

Mental Defense - Not so much a power however Jace is extremely resistant to his mind being manipulated in any way. With how much he sleeps he spends a lot of time in his own mind and knows when it’s being messed with.

Weapons | 8 rings that he wears on every finger. When tapped in a certain way a celestial bronze pendulum on a chain falls out of each ring. They are sharpened and can be used for attacking or aiding his hypnosis.

PERSONALITY

Positive Traits | Extremely friendly. Jace never seems to be lacking in friends even though he’s rarely awake. He will got to great distances to help those that he cares about and seems to have a relaxing carefree aura about him.

Negative Traits | Finds it hard to care about serious topics. Jace practically lives in his own world and doesn’t really care what’s going on in the real world, like his father. Also not a very good listener.

Strengths | Able to calm people down quickly and has an excellent control of his abilities.

Weaknesses | Suffers from narcolepsy. It is not uncommon for Jace to fall asleep while talking to someone or even while he’s walking somewhere. Also physically weak. Never gets any exercise.

» BIOGRAPHY;
In the small, seaside town of Shellman Bluff, GA, resided a kind man in his early forties named James Stevens. Dedicated solely to the family plant nursery, love or romance was really a priority to James, always willing to water plants with his grandparents when in his youth, and eventually taking over with the passing of his parents. Even the somewhat reclusive James was not unable to ignore the allure of a newcomer to their less-than-two-thousand people hometown. This woman went by only a given name, Demeter, and she quickly managed to entrance the entire town with her kindness, beauty, and appreciation of plants.

With what could only be described as a whirlwind romance, James fell in head-over-heels love with the virtuous Demeter, feelings that she happened to reciprocate. While they never married, the two loved each other deeply, and Demeter gave birth to a single child, a daughter, during her stay in Shellman Bluff.

However, all good things must inevitably come to an end, and after the coming of their daughter's second birthday, Demeter claimed that she needed to return to her duties, of which she had never explained to her lover. But James was persistent, and he would never be satisfied until he learned of the truth. After hearing of Demeter's godly presence, he let her go, although it was with a heavy heart. With one last goodbye to her love and a kiss on the head of her baby girl, the goddess was gone with a gust of the fall breeze.

From that point on, Virginia was raised by the only family left in her life, James, and he did this happily. Although she did not necessarily have grandparents or aunts or uncles, her father made sure to spoil his little girl, making sure she still learned humility and respect along the way. Similar to the way James had, Virginia grew up in the nursery, constantly tending to plants with small, new-found abilities that neither she nor her father could put their finger on.

It was only the appearance of scattered monsters that broke the tranquility built up over years of peace. After multiple attempts were made on Virginia's life, her father made one of his most difficult decisions. Sending his daughter to Camp Half-Blood at only ten years old was not easy, as she had brought the light back into his life after years of solitude. However, James knew that he would not be able to singlehandedly protect his daughter, and, after packing her bags and taking a long drive north, he kissed her on the forehead and told his daughter goodbye, not after many promises of having her visit every summer for a few weeks.

Ever since that chilly fall day almost seven years ago, Virginia has done her best to include herself in the camp going-ons. She mostly gets along with her half-siblings, and she's made her fair share of friends, but Virginia's always felt like her camp experience has been missing something, and she's still waiting to see what that something is.

Positive traits | Violet is a generally kind person. She cares about others and is a loyal and empathic friend. She tends to see the good in people, and is fiercely protective over those she care about. Wether or not it’s considered positive, Violet is a bit of a flirt. She believes in herself and her cause.
Negative traits | Violet can be a bit... vain, and self absorbed. She’s never actually selfish, but she does admire her own beauty. She’s hot tempered and easily irritated, even angered. Jealousy is an emotion she’s pretty damn familiar with.
Violet has a weakness for playing the damsel in distress. She can also get overly confident.
Strengths | Violet is persuasive and charming, and is not afraid of going after what she wants. She’s, again, loyal and protective. She’s fluent in French because of her mother. Her beauty could also be seen as a strength.
If her charmspeak wouldn’t bite, Violet could always rely on her fists, knees, elbows and feet to do the talking – she practises MMA. Although, it might not be that effective on a monster, hence the dagger.
Weaknesses | Violet harbours a fear of water. This fear originated from her not being able to swim, and she occasionally gets panic attacks when out on the sea or on a lake. She’s a bit reckless and doesn’t always think twice about what she’s doing. She often lets her emotions get the best of her, and that could mess up things during battle. She also have a tendency to check on her own reflection during the worst times possible.
Habits and quirks | Violet is, like most demigods, diagnosed with ADHD. She’s often having trouble being still, and walks around a lot while thinking. To work out anger and/or stress, she punches and kicks things. Other than that, she usually bites her lower lip when focused.

|HISTORY|​

Brief bio | Once upon a time a professional swimmer fell in love with the goddess of love. They conceived two children together – twins, a boy and a girl. They named the boy Alder, and the girl Violet. Shortly after their birth (from a freaking flower, weirdly enough) Aphrodite left Mr Jones, leaving him pretty heartbroken.

During the twins’ childhood, their father was pretty distant. The twins, having discovered their unusual beauty and influence over others, got into all sorts of trouble. Violet handled it better than her brother though, who, at the age of twelve had gotten kicked out of five different schools and decided to run away from home, leaving his sister behind. Not even that seemed to be enough to snap their father out of his so called misery.

Violet stayed for a year or so, until the monster attacks started occurring a few times a week. On the way to school, after a certain swimming competition, during her time practising kicks and punches... You name it. Mr Jones had never told his children who their mother was – it simply hurt too much to talk about her. Naturally, Violet was freaked out. By the age of thirteen, she packed her bags and ran out of fear that her father would get hurt, being in the midst of everything. A protector from Camp Half-blood found her after a month or so of being on the run, and brought her with him.

Once at Camp, the claiming wasn’t all that shocking to Violet. If she somehow had to accept that she was part of this alternate world where all kinds of gods and goddesses existed, it only seemed fair that her mother would be none other than Aphrodite herself. Violet stayed at camp, quickly fitting in amongst her newfound family, but never really being able to let go of those nagging thoughts concerning her twin brother’s whereabouts. He wasn’t at camp, that much was certain. Violet could only hope that he hadn’t died somewhere on the road.

At present time, Violet has spent two whole years at Camp Half-blood. She has yet to take part in her first quest, but she’s (to the other children of Aphrodite’s great dismay) excited to venture out into the wide world, possibly finding her brother again.

HISTORY
Brief Bio: While most Demigods were born having a Greek or Roman parent of a godly Parthenon, Jin himself was born from the left behind remains of a long slain god, who had been reincarnated through a deal with Hephaestus. The slain god would be reborn as Jin, who in turn gained a good portion of his powers. The flames he controls can be scary however.

After being accepted into camp Half-blood, Jin would be claimed by Hephaestus, but Jin himself had no clue about who or what he actually was.

None of her powers can be used to fight, so her only real strategy is sneaking up on opponents and attacking them before they notice her. She's also subpar at most other types of combat, partly because she has low self esteem and feels inadequate.
Habits and Quirks: Lena is extremely possessive of her belongings, and will flip out on anyone who touches her things, or even gets too close. She also keeps secrets to an absurd degree, like not letting anyone find out her favorite flavor of ice cream.

HISTORY
Brief Bio: Lena spent her childhood moving in and out of various juvenile detention centers. Initially, she was caught for theft, but the charges against her continued to stack up as she seemed impossible to keep locked up. She lived the life of a fugitive all across Europe, stealing to get by until she was brought in to camp by protectors around a year ago.

Brief Bio: Philia had always lived in the northern part of the New England region with her mom and step-mom. At first, she was homeschooled, since her mom thought that would be the safest thing for her child, but with the monster attacks that came around, Philia ended up being sent to now four different private schools. She had a really hard time dealing with going to different schools, as she was always behind in multiple subjects, but her neighborhood friends and comic books/manga helped her get through both the pressure of school and English class, which was surprisingly her favorite subject, as well as Creative Writing. She was thirteen when she was claimed as a daughter of Apollo, of which she had already known since her mom was one of the lucky ones who knew of the god's true identity, and it was then that she started going to Camp Half-Blood during the summers.

Shadow Teleportation – Lilith is able to travel anywhere using shadows at any speed. Shadows must be connected to each other, but she can manipulate the shadows to move at a slow speed.
Weapons: Lilith usually uses weapons made out of darkness, but she also uses small daggers for when she runs out of energy.

PERSONALITY
Positive Traits: Despite having the power to manipulate shadows, Lilith has a fairly bubbly and cheerful personality and adores being in the spotlight. She can almost always remain optimistic, oblivious to the gravity of a situation. She has a bold disposition, not afraid to jump into things when others don't want to.
Negative Traits: However, Lilith can be quite stubborn and hotheaded and makes most of her decisions rather irrationally. She thrives in a fast-paced environment, making her easily bored and always looking for risks. Lilith is also rather sensitive and avoids conflict whenever possible.
Strengths: Lilith is a natural leader and has a knack for motivating people. Her powers are also slightly heightened during the night.
Weaknesses: Lilith has a problem with water and sunlight. She just for some reason cannot deal with either one of them.
Habits and Quirks: She rubs her neck and shoulders when she's nervous or lying.

HISTORY
Brief Bio: Jiang Xia was a successful restaurant owner in China. Throughout one, long winter, he noticed a beautiful customer who always returned to his restaurant each week. He was warned that the woman only brought darkness and bad luck, but Jiang still felt captivated by her strong essense. He familiarized himself with her, doing whatever he could to talk to her until she finally agreed to go on a date. The two accidentally became very drunk and very intimate, and the next morning, the woman had vanished. Jiang was heartbroken, but he eventually moved on until several months later when the woman returned to his restaurant. Only this time, she was carrying a child. Shoving the child into his arms, the woman revealed that her name was Nyx and she could not afford to raise the child.

Jiang happily accepted the child and moved to England to give the girl a better life. He opened his second restaurant there with a mix of English and Chinese cuisine. He gave Lilith everything; she was his whole world. Lilith was around 11-years-old when Jiang began to notice strange creatures following and occassionally attempting to attack Lilith. Further research eventually led him to discover Nyx's true identity - the goddess of darkness and night. The choice was difficult, but he explained everything to Lilith and sent her to camp at age 12.

Power(s): Children of Athena don’t usually have any powers that manifest in an elemental manner, and Serena is no exception. However, Serena is known to have a calm displacement, filled with rationality in logic. It’s not proven to be a power, but she’s known to have a calming effect on even the most unruly demigods. Like the other Athena kids, Serena has a high quotient of intelligence, and common sense.

Weapon(s): A celestial bronze bow-staff. When broken by Serena in battle, it will always appear fully formed a few minutes later. It seems simple, but a right twist of the wood will eject spear tips out of the ends. A left twist will collapse the bow-staff into her ring.

Positive Traits: Serena is a rational character. She’s opportunistic, attuned to working towards the best possible opportunity. She has a witty sense of humor that’s cracked out at the best times, and she’s a great listener. She’s loyal and hardworking.

Negative Traits: Her humor can sometimes be used at the worst times as well. When pushed, her temper is fiery hot, and she says the worst things when angry. She has a fatal character flaw in which she thinks that everything can be helped, everything can be saved.

Strengths: A higher sense of intelligence, both in books and common sense.

Weaknesses: A huge fear of spiders.

Habits and Quirks: Like most other demigods, Serena is very ADHD, but not to the extent as others. As long as she is doing something to occupy her brain, she can somewhat focus. She has a habit of twirling whatever is in her fingers, usually pens, but is known to accidentally twirl a knife at certain times. The latter incident doesn’t pose well, especially since she can be a bit on the weaker side when concerned with hand-eye coordination.

Brief Bio:

Serena is the oldest daughter of the esteemed Evers family, with the head being Ethan Evers, a tycoon amongst the Wall Street suits and the elites of DC. Serena grew up with the knowledge that she was not the daughter of Ethan’s current wife, but that didn’t detract from her rightful place in the family at all. She was always treated well—and was groomed from birth to take over the growing business.

But Ethan was wise and knew that she needed to learn about her other side as well. And so, the heiress made her way to Camp Half Blood under the watchful eye of a protector, ready to learn about the side of her she’d never been able to explore. ​

Brief Bio: Born and raised in Maine, Genesis lives with his dad Sam Wilson who was born Deaf. Genesis was raised speaking in ASL and was home-schooled, and was taught English by his other family members. That was until he was claimed by Hebe once he was brought by his satyr friend who he thought was just a new neighborhood friend. He's always been the kind of person who is looking to make people happy and to make situations positive, no matter what, especially since that's what his dad is like, although Sam is more of a community service kind-of person versus a party-goer, but hey, what is a 17 year old to do?

Negative Traits: Alexander can be easily misled into thinking that something may be wrong or right. He’s easy to manipulate if what he’s being shown is cast in a positive manner.



Strengths: A talented fighter, Alexander has spent most of his time training, where his anger has been brewing over the unfair treatment.



Weaknesses: If he’s loyal to a cause, he’s loyal to a cause. His stubbornness keeps him from seeing rationale.



Habits and Quirks: Alexander enjoys tapping out different rhythms of his favorite songs on any surface he can find. It’s entertaining when faced with a boring situation, but irritating when trying to concentrate. He's also dyslexic. ​
