TV & Film People And Events That Need Movies

There are several things that I think deserve a movie. Firstly, I would love to see a movie about the Crusades. Not one that glorifies one side and damns the other, but one that semi-accurately shows what led up to it and the results of it, like how it increased the trade in Europe or led to the Islamic terrorists of today. I would also love a movie about Constantine and his rise to power.
Both sound incredibly interesting!

There was City of God, but I heard it wasn't too good. I really want movies about the history of Christianity for some reason. I'm not even very religious. I just find the history of it fascinating. Ooh! And I would love a movie about Erwin Rommel! The good 'ol Desert Fox.

I have to admit being fascinated about Christianity (as well as most religions). It's all very interesting.

I'm not Christian but I think a crusades movie like that would be interesting...IIRC one Turkish group/dynasty attacked the Byzantines first, and then the 1st crusade was called--I think people tend to assume the Christians started it 100% against peaceful homogenous Muslims.

And a movie about Rommel would be interesting indeed. I heard that In the Gulf War an M113 crew in an Armored unit had a picture of Rommel taped to the inside of the passenger compartment. After the Battle of 73 Easting I think it was, where the Iraqis used technologically inferior tanks with poor tactics, one Iraqi tank commander was put inside the M113 as a prisoner. He asked "why do you have a picture of a WWII adversary?" One US soldier quipped that they learned a thing or two from him on armored tactics, and maybe if the Iraqis had too, they might've done better. Lol. Sure enough the Iraqis probably would've done better if they had used their tanks differently/better.

EDIT: I feel like early post-Jesus Christian history is interesting but something I haven't learned a lot about, so Constantine would be interesting. They say he saw a sign of God before the Battle of Milvian Bridge--we know he won that battle, his rival Maxentius died, and Constantine became Emperor. It's kind of cool to think about.

You are right. The Crusades were basically a huge misunderstanding. And Rommel was an interesting man. He was loyal to Germany, but not to Hitler, and it led to him dying a traitor. And something that would be interesting in a movie about Constantine would be to have the cross he sees in the sky be a dream, so you could whether it was Good or just a dream. I personally think Constantine had good intentions, but he eventually let his hubris get the better of himself. He even built coffins for the Disciples in Constantinople plus one for himself, as he believed himself to be the last Disciple.

A movie about living under Saddam Hussein's reign would be interesting. I feel like the Arab Spring would make a great movie too.

A band of brothers type of film but maybe about a crew of a B25 bomber.

A movie in the axis side from the perspective of two different soldiers, one on the eastern front and other on the western, seeing the dark side of war and how not all german foot soldiers = evil nazis

A movie about Sigmund Heinz Landau would be interesting, along those lines. "Goodbye, Transylvania" was a gripping read for me.

I would like if there would be a Robert Burns biobic movie.

Or if somebody would make a mini-series from the book 'Phantom' by Susan Kay. True that Erik and his story is fictional actually, but it would be great. :)
