Personality

It is all an act in the personality department for Pemeica. She does not easily show her real personality to many others. Her reason lies in the realization of her close bond with older adopted sister Mariel Wanson who is a red haired demon. Thus she has a soft spot for demons. She believes if she doesn’t bring others ever so close to her heart again through friendship and romance then perhaps she will not be taken advantage of or forgotten. The worse thing to experienced is to forgotten while living to wither away from memory like a dried up plant. Little does she know, this ‘act’ or ‘game’ she plays to disguise her real persona can be poorly hidden and makes her two-faced.

In her softer personality that can be less offensive, she is: Aggressive, Rude, Loyal, Brave, Protective, Innocent -Minded and Free-Spirited. She was always a smart-mouthed female for words and wasn’t afraid to speak on her mind even when she is oblivious to certain things and the entirety of the human culture. She always has been prepared for the outside worlds on Planet Neira and neighboring planets. Even Planet Earth is an option to be cautious about. She may be part human but she disregards this aspect and considers herself more immortal than anything. Being compared to mortals irritates her. After the chosen separation between herself and Mariel, she began to grow colder fitting inside the bitter false personality she had used to mask her own softer nature. She almost believed the previous event had changed her for the better. There are many characteristics she had grown since the conflict had occurred since the changed state of her sister altered her personality to the same false persona she claims to have. Arrogant, Insolent, Bitter, Self-Centered, Bold and Malevolent.

This changed personality that had changed the way she behaves gives her the nickname, “Malice” from others. Due to the personality changed she once used to shove others away to get close to her, she has several habits to display her bad attitude. It goes from trash talking people, making conceited remarks, disrespecting people to sometimes lying about things to still insult people to get them on their bad side which doesn’t make her the most likable person. There are times where she is oblivious to the nature of mortals, even sexual intercourse she had shied away from fully connecting to people.

History
History Summary:

Pemeica is one of Neira's toughest bounty hunters known for her rough and 'smartass' demeanor through trashtalking. At times, she gives off a vibe that she have a black heart. Although, this too can be a front for the more softer personality she have locked away. She hides this. Last person who seen this side of her is her sister through adoption, Mariel who haven't been seen in centuries. Malice had sworn to aid in assassinating her evil biological mother Ivernea but failed in doing so. Tweleve years later, she was one of the people revived who was killed. In her second life, she lives on Planet Earth with the urge to remember all that happened in her past life. Meanwhile, she continues to do what she remembers what is her calling: To hunt for bounties, zombies and steal.

Backstory:

Things are not how it used to be, even now. It used to be so joyous here and now? Not so much. Xeres is a dead city… literally. People died out prior to the Lixeran illness originated from the Lixera desert lands in the far south end of the planet Neira. She was there since were taken in by her adopted parents, Jason Wanson and Seraphina Wanson. Compared to the mortal planet of Earth, her birthdate is on June 21st, 1274 in the Kamakura time period in Japan. She never knew her real biological parents or recognizes them for that matter. Broad stories scattered to different individuals’ knowledge branches about her parents. Not many knew these two people who had created Pemeica as their biological offspring had been together as a couple. Those few people had seen it as unlikely due to the mere opposite personalities these two hold. But alas, there was quite a few who had seen the mating between her cruel immortal mother Ivernea and the benevolent mortal Vairex. Opposites attract, it seems. Similar to the mortals on Planet Earth, the immortals on their beloved life-sucking planet Neira (the draining effect affects mortals and those who aren’t immortal), tend to judge highly especially when it came to Ivernea. Neither side approved the pairing of the two beings because it would look as if they were incompatible at first. On the other hand, Vairex had seen the good in people’s hearts… even to one so treacherous like Ivernea’s. Hers could be said to be one of the darkest of hearts for she isn’t just any immortal. Most seen her as the goddess of darkness, who reigned power over dark matter, illusions and psychic control. Their romance between one another occurred for years yet even that did not last forever. Nothing does. By this time, she was impregnated carrying his child. There was a wish Vairex desired for her give the baby to a pair who would unconditionally love it until he goes out to search for the child when it is older. That request was graciously granted. If it’s something, Ivernea knew to do; it is to keep her word. Originally, she would have killed the infant herself for she had seen no need to have a memory of her former lover in her life. But with this request, she wanted the child far away from the human culture to grow into an individual that wouldn’t be brainwashed by the way of the mortals. By doing so, Pemeica was brought after the birth days later on Earth in by the caring couple of Jason and Seraphina who lived on Neira. With this choice set in stone, Ivernea leaves to hopefully never meet her offspring again.

Taken in by her new adopted parents, Pemeica was not only cared by them but to their first adopted demonic child Mariel Wanson as well who was older than the new family member by four years. Compared to the other family members in the home, the new adopted infant had distinct features different to the pale light skinned and fair-haired people who cared for her. In her case, the skin she is born in is a brown shade of one of the lightest golden tones breaching to have a sprinkle of yellow mixed here and there. It differ her from the other dark skinned individuals who are usually browner. Addition to this, she fairs rich black hair and emerald eyes which can mistake her to be partially white. But in fact, she is a mixed demigoddess with both genes of Caucasian and African American. Upon growing up, she had lived in an immense community populated by various races in Xeres. No one segregated nor judged one by color or how they looked like. This vicinity succeeded the impossible for maintaining calm conditions for centuries.

These people move here from different, perilous and war raged lands to make peace finally arrive in their lives. The reason behind the peaceful state is the manpower behind the strong fighters in the place itself. Strict rules are often implied evidently to keep the strong and kick out the weak minded individuals at all costs. The moment there is a weaker person in all the fields in battle required to fight, there is a weakness to take advantage of. A weak spot to target for the outsiders to ruin the settled paradise the people in Xeres had work hard to keep. They are known for their strict authority and power in strengths which kept the people safe from harm. The only citizens are considered weak is the women when they are in pregnancy. Those who could pose a threat are the deities who occasionally roam the planet’s surface including Ivernea. But for the majority of Pemeica’s living in Xeres, Ivernea had steered clear of the place in respect to Vairex’s wish.

Even in Pemeica’s mind, her biological mother wanted nothing to do with her and she was surprisingly calm about being unwanted by someone she did not have any feelings for. She continued on to live in the peaceful city knowing this by the age of seven and admired her older sister’s advice to her which attracted her to barely leave Mariel’s side. For future planning, their adopted father creates weapons for both of them. Before doing so, they were put into intense training by the time Pemeica turned nine. By this time, her goals for the training were set. Mariel trained under a high ranked wizard for sorcery and Pemeica decided to take the opposite route in swordsmanship and weapon mastery. They may have taken different routines but through their bond, they have shared the vast knowledge and sparred with one another to stay under the radar of getting kicked from Xeres. To know each other’s strengths and weaknesses in the matter; Mariel had decided to teach the black magic spells she had learned to Pemeica to assist her since she was the youngest and only sister she had. The closest person that isn’t related by blood that she’ll probably ever have. When she was offered to be given tips of on how to handle a sword, she denied it at all costs and preferred to use staffs as a weapon choice.

Over the years, Pemeica’s personality to grow out and blossom; so did her natural powers and curvaceous figure. It grew attention to those associated with her while she grew into her teenage years. She was not like the others around her –not at all. An aggressive nature is developed to her already protective, loyal, brave and free spirited behavior. The most noticeable thing about her is her rude, wise-cracking attitude giving others hints that underneath her sincere personality there is an insolent trait to be aware of. Only people who can bear with it are her sister and adopted father. By this time, their mother through adoption had passed when traveling outside the city to bring back resources but was slain brutally along with the group of immortal men and women who accompanied her in the raid in an attempt to steal from one of the many enemies Xeres despite it being a city of peace. Blessed with psychic, elemental, abnormal and energy based capabilities; it was safe to say she excelled in her training faster than her those who had been there longer than her. It was slowly realized by others that she is a telepath at the age of sixteen like Ivernea, although, not many of them exist on Neira. Even with this fact, she did not practice reading minds most of the time. She was raised to be innocent-minded (simply because her father avoided talking about anything that has to do with perversion), flawlessly fluent in armed combat and to be a level-headed person. He avoided the subject of sex to prevent Pemeica from becoming tainted and led off the wrong path of life. He had high hopes for both of his daughters and wanted them to succeed.

When it came to Mariel, the wizard who had taught her seen her progress further went on into excellent results enough for him to refer her to join a neighboring kingdom named the Celek Empire. Pemeica soon learned from fellow citizens part of the urban city that the Celek empire is part of crooks disguised as soldiers and fighter whose purpose is to be one of the allies for the city. They are simply the opposite factor. She warned her sister in advance upon learning this information but Mariel paid it no mind and went by the mentoring wizard’s word. Unlike, the other fighters there, she respectively guarded the city and did not slack around or cause trouble. An admirable trait her mentor noticed. Upon turning eighteen years old, Pemeica accepted the fact that her sister is the shining light in the crooked empire’s ‘darkness’ and took on a new career path beside the fighter path. A new occupation choice which ultimately became her calling: To become a bounty hunter. Her sister highly disapproved of it seeing the danger it may bring but she ignored this like Mariel ignored her previous warning years ago.

Their father simply presented her with the sword he made for her and simply stated, “Try not to get killed out there, kiddo.” Acknowledging his acceptance and support, she had taken the amazingly crafted sword she entitled, Macien to give it some meaning. The bounty hunting occupation often keeps her away from home which stops the event of being briefly taught sorcery by her sister. In between the jobs, she met people who had come and went out of her life as partners or enemies. Most often she hardly keeps friends around when it comes to job related situations. Otherwise, she is a social butterfly to those around her outside the bounty-hunting gig. In this stage of her life, she changed her wardrobe from the finest silks her father would buy for her occasionally to the most exquisite leather apparel and one or two-piece full body suits. She was not one to flaunt her bare skin and curves in a provocative matter. Compared to the rest of the hired individuals willing to take out or kill a person for money, she would be one of the rare women who is attractive, highly confident in her capabilities (almost mistaken as arrogance most of the time) and violent. It left a good impression on those who kept their eyes on her to size her up and judged either she is competition to watch out for or not. Fairly enough, this gives her admirers from a far. Meanwhile, the moment where it was said that the Celek empire had been slain by only a group of assassins, she drops her activities to track down bounties and returned home to Xeres. By this time, it had been two days after the incident. She needed to know if her sister would be come back home to their father like Pemeica did. She stays involved in Xeres safe from the new enemies she had gotten from hunting people as well for five more days. If Mariel was unable to arrive to Xeres, Pemeica planned to go to the Celek Kingdom’s site herself to search for the dead body.

But there was no need for her plotted endeavors; her sister arrived exactly five days later to the place she calls home. No injuries nor severed body parts was visible; Mariel was still physically intact as if nothing happened to her. Gathering their father and youngest adopted sibling, she was finally able to tell her story of what happened to her and the Celek Empire. The reason behind her mere existence that still came to be alive is prior to quitting the empire days before the slaughter because soldiers were ordered to kill her mentor. She was ordered by the wizard himself not to save him but to let the forbidden spells the empire was after to live on in her memory and knowledge. Agreeing to do just that, she wanted to avenge him by going to the source, the head of the kingdom. However, the King and the rest of the kingdom had been assassinated before she could act on these motives.

Finding out this out alone by traveling the assassination scene just when it happened. The lead ‘assassin’ turned out to be a ninja who brought a small group of his clan called the Nakamura clan to handle the job. Explaining the reason why she quit allowed her to not get killed as well - - Mariel traveled with the band of ninjas who she later found out was sent to be slay the empire or make it crumble down from the inside out prior there being a traitor doing an inside job. She desired to know everything concerning this situation and anything or anyone she decides to show interest in. But like Pemeica, she was gambling with her life by associating with these ninjas without anyone knowing where she was. The reason she had left them is meet back with her family and hopefully her sister. It was then she told the two, she won’t be in Xeres for a while to travel the far-fetched places of Neira which ultimately what Pemeica was doing but her sister was doing that for job related things. She offered to keep in touch with her sibling after their father suggested it but Pemeica mustered the will to turn down the request.

What made Pemeica refused such an inquiry by her sister is the fact how much time she had spent there, worried about her. In fact, she seen their close bond as a weakness that should be taken in consideration to cut off while she had the chance. The type of occupation she had chose for herself could possibly put Mariel in danger if it was known that she had a sister or a close connection that can be used against her. After that day would be the last day they would see each other before they would on their separate paths going in different directions. It would be a slim chance for them to meet one another again. She knew this and altered her natural black hair color to three in her long, wavy mane. The dyed roots to the middle were now crimson red in dedication to her sister’s natural red haired self, the pitch black in the middle section stayed to remind her of her previous life before making this drastic changed and finally the azure blue have no importance to her to any person but it was the same color of the aura her first sword Macien possessed. These colors shown significant meaning to her and hopefully it was a change not only physically but emotionally as well. Mariel accepted the physical change knowing it was still her sister. From that day on, Pemeica grew colder than she normally was despite knowing she wished to have this decision on her own to keep her sister safe. Everytime if she visit Xeres and people ask about her sister, she would get an attitude or go onto another subject completely avoiding the topic. It was quick to know that she had changed; some may have called her under the title of, ‘Malice’.

Easily adaptable to learn things quite quickly, she openly accepted the alias, ‘Malice’ amongst her peers and enemies alike. Those who actually grown to like her before the fall of the Celek Empire wished the younger Pemeica would return to her senses. But it would soon be known that chapter in her life had closed in her life. Another to open for the unique female bounty hunter. They knew what had happened to her before the change; all they knew that this Malice is secretive about her personal life and focused strictly on business and making friendly connections between those in foreign lands and work associations. One day, she was asked to stay in Xeres to not leave Xeres just yet considering the fact there is a new threat. To her knowledge, the guards in Xeres informed her about a sickened man committing aggressive assaults on the peasants one by one before he was finally put down forcibly. The diseased male would not calm down previously when slain. His motives were vividly clear that he was out to decrease the city’s population in the end but have no success. Several witnesses had spoken about how this said individual behaved well-mannered even in his injured and rotten away state seeks for help. Then something snapped in him for the outsider to become fiendish and mindless enough to not have a conscience to attack the natives relentlessly. Not all the injured victims went directly to the guards. They either retreated to the nearest escape route to find a method to heal from the severe wound. Some bitten others was cut thoroughly through the skin tissue. Unlike most ordinary wounds these injuries injected a phenomenal virus gaining entry to the bodies of the immortals. Those who are able to examine the infected ones gathered information extracted from the advanced technology the planet Neira had to offer and discovered a Lixeran illness hailing from the Lixera territory called the, ‘Perix’.

The Perix disease spreads quickly in a matter of hours and can eat the mind painfully for long periods of time until it goes brain-dead after the second the infection seeps in the bloodstream. Once the infected person is brain-dead, they would turn into what mortals would call a ‘zombie’. In the case of the immortals on Neira, they called them the undead. Depending on where how deep the skin penetrated wound is, determines the time length given to the victim. Unfortunately for these people, they was caught off-guard when the pain was inflicted upon thus it was severe upon physical contact. Their status altered from immortal to the undead quickly before those who was actually hospitalized could find a way to make a possible cure. It was uncertain on if the cure of this illness is even possible considering how Lixera is a foreign part of Neira isolated from most of socialization and people do not know the cause of the rare disease for sure. They do know the place exist literally on the backend negative section of the planet that is considered toxic and hazardous to anyone outside their race. It is known they had died out ages ago. To see and hear a person from Lixera is taboo to them. Prior to not all the victims being collected in hospitals, those who decided against the decision to let the doctors try their luck in healing the wounds, turned into zombies when the disease overwhelmed the body’s internal system and the mind. Those who was in the hospitals was killed off while the newly turned zombies preyed on the people of Xeres. Compared to the ‘zombies’ the humans knows of only in fiction and movies in the world of today, these undead breed are impressively faster and react in violent behaviors towards the living. Their motives remain clear to feast on the living’s flesh despite being people of negative matter and now the undead. Soon the Perix virus spread to the majority of the Xeres peasants who are exceptionally strong fighters that was overthrown due to the speed of the undead and their tactics to sneak up on the living when not well aware of their surroundings.

The guards of Xeres are one of the many people still not affected by the Perix disease. The ones still living are probably the strongest ones left. Other remaining people evaluated from Xeres while they still can. The reputation of Xeres died out faster than their population did. No longer a place to go to for safety , it is now a danger zone for everyone. By the time this threat broadens is the same time Malice agreed to assist the guards by joining the large group of people who still remains in Xeres as the Resistance force against the undead infected with the Perix illness called the Kariudo (which can be defined as, ‘Hunter’ in Japanese. Same goes for the word ‘Hunter’.) It is solely a resistance force against the zombies which lasted a long while. Its goal is to lower the undead population. Since the guards no longer have citizens to protect, they devoted their actions to killing those they had once knew in Xeres. Each member of the Kariudo relocated to an isolated mansion northwest from Xeres and called it the Kariudo Headquarters. A base to stay in and keep themselves safe from the flesh hungry undead. Even though the guards had asked Malice to come along as an accomplice and the last member to the team, they knew bout her activities as a bounty hunter. The other members also knew that she is the daughter to Ivernea which causes them to be hesitant towards her. But soon grew to put up with her since they are on the same side. Nevertheless, the new personality Malice shown since distancing herself from her biological sister had made others remember Ivernea in a sense causing them to dislike her. Between the members, all but Malice chose a man named Maddox to lead them. He is seemingly level-headed and less panicky about their lives being endangered by the flesh eaters out there. He was a former guard who is very intelligent about his knowledge on battle and weaponry. Something about Malice kept him from not liking her like the rest did. It was not the fact that she was one of the few women immortals on the Kariudo. She did not know what made the leader favor her. It was strange to know that there was still people who grew enough emotion to rely on her. She did not rely on them much but wanted to aid in ridding the city of the undead. The city that was once home to her.
