News & Updates Patch Notes (6-16-22) - Self Delete Interest Checks and Disable Accounts

Hey all,

The following changes are new.

- Thread Creators can now delete interest checks without needing to poke the staff*.
- Users can now self-disable their account permanently without needing staff intervention. The system will give you a 7-day grace period in case you change your mind. To do so please visit here.

*Thread creators still need staff intervention to delete/archive actual roleplays since it has other people's content.

So is disabling your account essentially deleting it forever? What happens to accounts that are deleted, if anything. Are all traces of it gone? I'm curious.

its the same process we’ve been doing for years manually but now users can do it themselves. Posts do remain for continuity purposes in a roleplay but identifiable info is gone and access to the account is lost forever yes.

Got it. I Was just a little worried in terms of continuities for various roleplays and stuff. Thanks for clarifying! : )

Thank god for the troubleshooting abilities of the staff (and the new lack of constant headaches.)
