  thought i'd replicate my fandom search for a few original plots/pairings since i have slots open for two or three additional partners. please read through this entire tab and if everything looks good, feel free to move on to the meatier stuff!
  
  
  — this thread is solely for original ideas. if you're interested in fandom settings, i also have a thread here.​
  — while i'm currently leaning toward playing female mains, i'm capable of portraying characters of any gender and/or sexuality. i'm also fine with playing multiple mains, but i'd rather not force it. most of my plots have the potential to include it though, so i don't think is should be an issue.​
  — in terms of pairings, i'm currently leaning more toward mxf or mxm.​
  — i adore romance and typically require at least a little bit of it in my roleplays. that said, all romance all the time can be a bit dull. i like to spice things up with action, angst and drama, and giving our characters a chance to grow outside of their relationship, so if you love all of those things then great!​
  — i typically prefer roleplaying through pms but i can be convinced to use threads if that's what you'd prefer.​
  — i average around 400-500 words per post/character. as long as you don't give me less than like, 200 - 300, and you give me something i can work with, we should be alright! quality > quantity, but i also can't deal with one/two liners.​
  — real fcs > artistic fcs. i love art — just not for my character portrayal in rps.​
  — i don't think it needs to be said but i'll say it anyway: no godmodding & no op characters.​
  — pls contribute to plotting! lack of discussion is the fastest way to get me to lose interest. in cases of multiple mains, pls give equal importance to both/all characters bc i always do and i expect the same from my partners.​
  — also, all this text talk is just for the req. thread so pls don't let that turn you away. i probably should put this at the top, shouldn't i?​
  — people willing to gush about literally anything and discuss conspiracy theories = welcome.​
  — i'm a content writer so i'm always online. this doesn't mean i can reply all the time but i can usually do a few replies a day, or every other day. i don't mind how long my partner takes tho.​
  — be my friend? or not, that's cool too. anyway, onward!​
  
  
• 
  i've listed a couple pairings along with little plots/odds n ends to go with them that we can build on if any of them interest you. they're vague on purpose, to allow us to plot together and come up with a story that we'll both enjoy. a lot of these are inspired by plots i found here and there on the internet. many of these ideas can be expanded to include multiple mains, so just ask if that's something you want to do!
  
  EX-CONVICT X CIVILIAN
  
  — maybe they just got out of prison for something they don't really want to discuss and nobody else is hiring except for the place the civilian works/owns. could be a small town story that takes place on a ranch or something.​
  — maybe the convict's past catches up to them and the civilian gets roped into it all.​
  — could be a modern retelling of tangled, perhaps?​
  
  SPY X SPY
  
  — two extremely accomplished spies are paired together for a mission but their egos get in the way. to add a bit of spice, maybe it turns out that their boss is the big baddie.​
  — alternatively, could pair a field agent with an agent who's never been away from their desk because that would be an interesting dynamic.​
  
  DETECTIVE X CONSULTANT
  
  — maybe a castle type situation where a serial killer is committing murders based on a novelists books so the detective is forced to partner up with them for help.​
  — could even do something with a detective being reluctantly paired up with a psychic/mentalist?​
  — the idea of dragging a lawyer into the picture also sounds interesting since lawyers and detectives typically don't get along. maybe the lawyer found something after reading through an old case that they brought to the detective's attention and they're unwittingly roped into the huge mess that it becomes.​
  
  CRIMINAL X CRIMINAL
  
  — maybe a heist? could be a group of people with individual specialisations (the typical: hacker, muscle, etc.) or they could even be 'enhanced' in a way, and have powers that help the cause in some way or another.​
  — alternatively, it could be two criminals always trying to one up the other till they've both been recruited by someone incredibly wealthy to carry out a job together.​
  — could be a modern or futuristic setting for the first idea. for the second, either modern or a game of thrones type setting.​
  
  GANG/MAFIA MEMBER X CIVILIAN
  
  — could be former childhood friends that drifted apart and meet again after a few years, now pursuing very different career paths.​
  — maybe one of them's an hitman and they find themselves on a blind date with their target.​
  — or the gang/mafia member just recently left that life behind and decided to start off somewhere new till their past life catches up with them because nobody just escapes the mafia.​
  
  ROYALTY X ROYALTY/NON ROYALTY
  
  — less along the lines of an arranged marriage and more along the lines of maybe them meeting by chance. perhaps one of them doesn't know they have royal blood. perhaps they're allies for an upcoming war. perhaps their respective royal families are at war with one another. there are plenty of things we could do with this!​
  — alternatively, we could have a scenario with a non-royal, like a guard, a bounty hunter, thief, etc.​
  — i picture this to take place in a game of thrones type of setting. we can do a lot of world building with this one.​
  — magic may or may not be involved (but let's be honest, it's usually so much more fun with magic and dragons involved)​
  
  SUPERNATURAL X HUNTER
  
  — could be any supernatural creature really. vampire, werewolf, faerie, djinn, anything. maybe they're being framed for something else sinister happening in town. maybe they're supposed to make nice with a hunter for a short while to solve a case.​
  — could even do something with a witch/warlock and a hunter/huntress. maybe in a universe where magic is seen as evil/is outlawed but not all witches/warlocks are the same.​
  — preferably prefer a modern or futuristic setting for this.​
  
  RICH X POOR
  
  — preferably in a modern setting, either with a big shot ceo or a spoiled rich kid, paired with someone like a protestor or someone more hard working who's not as well off.​
  — could play around with this either in high school/college with a popular/not-so-popular dynamic, or with characters entering/in adulthood and pursuing different career paths.​
  — additional idea: celebrity x non celeb? either a fan or someone who's not a huge fan at all. the latter of the two would admittedly be funnier, lol.​
  — oooor a modern retelling of cinderella?​
  — could even be something dystopian.​
  
  POP CULTURE INSPIRED
  
  — something based on the movie in time, where time is used as currency and everyone has a countdown clock that tells them how long they have to live?​
  — the concepts of the movie push or the show the umbrella academy is also cool, so playing around with that might be interesting.​
  — x-men was pretty cool. we could probably do something along those lines? maybe make something up of our own.​
  — going off of harry potter, maybe a school/academy for witches and warlocks that works a bit differently. it'd be darker, more sinister, more like the magisterium series by holly black, if you know of it.​
  — something blade runner-esque?​
  — recently re-read the book thief so something inspired by that would be cool too. not necessary to have it during ww2, either. could be something more dystopian, even.​
  — teenage runaways, inspired by the end of the fucking world.​
  
  MISC
  
  — a school for young assassins in training.​
  — soulmate aus are great too. the more bizarre, the better. it's always fun to do these in dystopian / fantasy settings, rather than modern ones!​
  — a cabin in the woods and a psychopath/group of psychopaths on the loose.​
  — people captured and put in a maze/escape room where they're expected to face a series of challenging (read: dangerous) tests. or maybe they even volunteered for it but had no clue what they were getting themselves into.​
  — think we'll write well but aren't really tempted by anything you see here? pitch me your own ideas! the worst i could say is that i'm not interested. no harm in sharing ideas and seeing if we can't work something out together.​
