Part I - The blood-dimmed tide

Quark

Fundamental Particle
This is about a roleplay set in a medieval fantasy world, starting from two nations: Erminia and Lexaria.

15484779017_9b37604d47_b.jpg

Despair and dread began to settle into both nations when a mysterious cloud of darkness rose from the horizon of the east 80 years ago. The cloud settled in the Sacred tower of the Moon in the floating-continent of Lexaria, a tower dedicated to the God of the Moon. At first there were sightings of strange monsters, then the disappearance of many Lexarians before the whole land was crawling with danger that it was impossible to enter or leave the nation. The news soon reached those living in Erminia, before Lexaria's borders were completely shut. Many in Erminia, had attempted to bravely venture forth to investigate the reason for it. Fear was spreading to all the cities in the continent as none returned, save for a few recorded journals detailing their journey towards the borders of Lexaria.

As the years went by, less and less people dared to seek the floating islands as monsters from Lexaria made way into the lower continent of Erminia. The people sought for help from the Tower of the Sun, to ask for help from the God of the Sun. The high priestess gave an answer, or rather a prophecy: at the time when the Cloud of Darkness grows, there will be a band of people who will find out the truth behind the root of the darkness. They will be brought together by fate at the Tower of the Sun, and journey to the Tower of the Moon. They will find out what these creatures of darkness are, and slay the evil hidden within the cloud to restore Lexaria and Erminia to what it once was.

"Sounds a bit too simple so far, doesn't it? "

The above was what was prophesied, and what some of them believed in. However...  What... is that? I've never seen something more dark... more horrifying...

...

...

What on earth... where is this? Where are the others...? Where is everyone...? We were swallowed and then... what happened?
...

...

It can't be...Not just those who were once with us... everyone in Lexaria... and Erminia are ...

When they encounter it, hey find themselves in somewhere completely foreign. The landmarks, the worshiped gods and the very people. Everything they see seems to be nothing like the Lexaria and Erminia they know. Were they warped, or had something transformed the place? Would they ever find themselves back to their true homeland?

Threads of Fate - Part I

"Perhaps it began when the cloud of darkness start to expand again. Without any of us realising, the very fabric of reality that I knew of was slowly crumbling..."

...

...

The weather in Erminia was clear today. High above the plains of the large continent was the sun, it would have been an uplifting view if it there wasn't the formidable cloud of darkness covering a portion of the sky. The sun had reached its peak at noon, when there was an unexpected shift in the wind. From the edges of the cloud, it began to swirl towards the centre, and expanded further to swallow another segment of the Tower of the Moon. A few travellers who were passing about a few kilometers away from the hovering continent of Lexaria gave a wary glance at it, feeling uneasy about the rumoured bad omen was changing.

"It's been doing that since two months ago..." one of them murmured as they continued on their way.

Emiyn Devereaux

Location: Iafern, castle

Activity: heading to market square

Time: noon

Interaction: N/A

Within one of the large rooms, where books were stacked one after another around the desk too wide for the boy sitting there, Emiyn let out a sigh. He rubbed his eyes, feeling mentally drained from reading over books. He glanced outside towards the wide window when the bell from the market square had resonated into the room.

Had he really spent all morning here? There was a knock from the door and immediately the young boy ducked under the desk. The door creaked and he heard the sounds of the usual servant muttering to himself that the Prince was missing. Or rather, will soon be. At the second click of the door, he scrambled up, quite pleased with himself.

Slowly, he opened the door and peered out at the corridor after the set of footsteps gradually faded. At this part of the castle, there weren't that many people at this time of the day. With a small grin, he slipped past the door, with his magic grimoire in his hand. With a good opportunity like this, Emiyn decided to slip out of the castle again. He could find this time to visit the few shops at the market. Then he supposed he could take a quick run to the Tower, they had gotten used to him going there without notice. (@Kayzo)

As the third prince, with almost no heritage of the kingdom's land, his future role was perhaps to oversee that the Tower and its worshiping rituals were to run smoothly. For now, he was just a teenager who found the rituals fascinating.

Finally getting to his usual room, he grabbed the usual green jacket that he liked, and took one last check behind him before taking out the key he had stolen to the west side door. Within less than 10 minutes, there was a small figure exiting out of the door, at the right time the guards were distracted with changing shifts.

Erika LeBlanc

Location: Forest

Activity: travelling to Iafern

Time: noon

Interaction: N/A

I'll need to be the bravest fourteen-year-old in Erminia.

Currently sitting at the back on a wagon with much of the delivery items, Erika's moments of daydreaming and thoughts were interrupted when something caught her eye. She head lifted up when she saw the forest approaching. She rummaged through her bag, hidden within her jacket, to pull out a map. Some of the edges were beginning to get a little bent from a day of travelling.

"Hey, mister." she called to one of the merchants who was riding on horseback, and lifted her opened map. "This is the place, right?" her index finger pointing at the edge of the forest indicated. It was about another half day's journey from Iafern, if she walked straight through it. The merchant nodded, though there was some look of concern on his features, as he had warned her earlier that the forest was an easy place to be ambushed by monsters.

"Thank you," she beamed a smile, purposefully looking away as she clambered down onto the pavement of the road. From her pocket she took out a few copper coins and handed it to him. Reluctantly he stretched out his hand to accept it, before watching her trot towards the edge of the woods.

She had decided that the quickest way to get to Iafern would be the safest, the longer one spent travelling the more easily it was to be ambushed by monsters. It seemed that the sightings of these things had even been invading into the outskirt villages lately. From her pouch, she took out her two sheathed blades, placing it into her pockets where she would be able to easily find.

I'll need to be the bravest fourteen-year-old in Erminia to get through here.

She repeated to herself again, as if it would give her some more courage. Standing up straight, she took in a deep breath while she looked ahead with clear eyes. Without looking back, she took the first step into the boundary of the forest.

Haruko Kiyama: Outside the Castle Gate

Haruko had woken up early-ish today, not really by his own will either. He'd forgotten to shut the curtains so he woke up by sunlight to the face. By the time he got up to shut the curtains he found himself unable to sleep. Try as he might, he simply couldn't sleep. Thus he opted to just shower, get some breakfast, get dressed, and walk around town a bit. After a while simply walking around alone got boring, very boring. He knew his friend, who just so happened to be Prince Emiyn, often snuck out around this time so he decided to make his way over to the castle. Adjusting his skirt he leaned against the wall of the castle awaiting Emiyn and also cleaning off a smear that had some how managed to get i to his glasses.

He hated cleaning them, not the act of cleaning them but the fact he couldn't really see a damn thing without them. He'd gotten mugged before due to it. Of course, the mugger got their ass kicked by guy in a skirt wielding a frying pan, but..you know. At-least they tried.

Isabella Ridela

Location: Herb Shop

Isabella had looked at several shelves at this point and found nothing. She was currently in a herb shop that sold normal herbs, magical herbs, and tools to weigh, crush, or filter them. The shop's name was odd, but you could say it sounded like something out of a fairy tale. "Sky Born Herbs." was it's name. Isabella was in her regular green attire when she was on herbalist duty. She walked around the shop more before going to the store owner. "Excuse me Sir, sorry to bother you, but do you happen to have this herb?" she said rather blindly as she was studying the herb and didn't know how to correctly identify it. Isabella held out a paper with a decently drawn herb. It was a large leaf with seven small spikes on each side, the stem curled, and so did the tips of the leaf. The owner was a frail old man with gray hair and light brown eyes. He nodded and went to the back of the shop before coming back out. Isabella was worried, was she getting some kind of bad herb?

The man came out with a small bag. He took was out to match it with the paper and nodded again to verify he had the right herb. "This is a Dilation Leaf." he said before continuing to explain the leaves. "Depending on the herbs you use with it, it can have great effects. They call it the Dilation Leaf because it you rub two leaves together, you change the size of the leaf. They will merge to make a bigger leaf. Sadly a way to shrink the size in unclear so most just trim the leaf if they need a smaller amount." the man said as he finished and put the leaf back into the bag. Isabella was fascinated. It did seem useful, especially if she was traveling to "darker" places in the lands. "How much would you like for this herb?" she asked as she pulled out a pouch full of different gems having different values. The man looked at her before simply going to the register to ring her up. "Since I don't often sell foreign herbs, the price is rather high." Foreign? Was the herb from the "other place". Before they closed their gates, Lexaria had many useful herbs that meant a great deal to herbalist. Isabella was determined to become a great herbalist and she then nodded as she was okay with whatever price given.

Isabella left the shop with a bag of dilation leaves and she sighed. The price the man gave her was 230 gems. It may seem like a simple number, but getting gems was harder than it sounded. Isabella sat down on a bench outside the shop and set her small bag in her lap. She reached into her bigger bag and pulled out a book and a pencil. She then began to record the information the man gave her as fondled with her hair a bit.

(Ya intro posts :D )

Jess

Location: Perusing the Market Bazaar

Overall Objective: Undecided

Jess shook her head and chuckled at the outrageous prices of the different bits and baubles at this stand. The man behind the wooden counter raised his eyebrow at her and she gave him a kind smile, which seemed to put him at ease. There was a small squeak from her hood, and a tiny blue dragon head popped out, having heard Jess's chuckle.

As Jess walked on, the small dragon clambered from her hood onto the top of her head, then hung his little head upside-down into her eyes with a small playful growl. He poked her nose with his small paw and Jess laughed, reaching up and picking up the small dragon. She placed him on her shoulder and continued walking, headed towards Iafar. "
Keep a wary eye out, Lux." She muttered.

Lux gave a small, inquisitive chirp.

"
I doubt it. Monsters don't normally venture this far into the city."

There was another chirp from the small dragon on her shoulder and Jess laughed. "
No, I don't think we'll encounter any more of those crazy venders that wanted to buy you. Besides, I wouldn't let them. Not for a million Emeralds, no sir."

The small dragon seemed content with that answer, and settled down onto Jess's shoulder, swaying with the rhythm of her walk.

They passed by a small Herb shop and Jess shook her head. "
Outrageous prices here too. Yikes! Double-strength Ermanthyum for Seventy-three gems?? Weird how money works, eh Lux?" She said as she passed.

TEMPLE OF THE SUN

Ned sat in the temple waiting. He had been there since daybreak and all he could do was wait. "We are humble to have you here adventure..." Ned said making a mock tone of one of the temple keepers. He looked out the window to see the sun high in the sky. 'There does not need to be others.' He thought as he got up and walked up and down the rows of seating. 'I can do this myself.' He was getting impatient. He looked towards the door thinking he heard it open, but it was closed still. He was getting annoyed at this point. "I can do this all by myself..." He yelled in the temple hoping someone would hear him.

It was now high noon and Ned was getting frustrated. Not a single sign about the prophecy. Not even another priest since he came in. "Where is anyone!" He yelled getting a temper. He stood and walked to the door throwing it open. He looked out to see some dark clouds. "If I just head that way will I get a sign?" He said to himself as he heard his stomach grumble. "Well I need to eat first." He told himself as he walked away form the tower. He had been ready to get tot he tower and figure out the next part of the prophecy that he did not even think to eat at all.

As he made is way along the road he noticed the different shops. He looked in each of them wondering where a place to eat may be. "Why do I have to not know my way around a city." He said to himself as he plopped on a bench next to a girl. "All I need is food. Then I can go back to the temple and figure out this damn thing." He looked around once more seeing many shops, but nothing in the way of a place to eat. He then looked at the girl. "Excuse me." He started. "Are you from around here? Do you know this city well?" He said trying to be nice. In truth he did not like interacting with anyone. He just hated looking dumb.

Isabella Ridela

Isabella was minding her own business, writing down observations about the Dilation Leaves when a man sat down next to her. She jumped a bit having not noticed him as first since she was busy writing. She nodded at his first question on if she was from around here and then nodded once more for if she knew the city well. "Uh, yes... I do." she said a bit coonfused but she then got a hold of herself and put her book and pencil away. "Are you looking for a location?" She said as stopped messing with her hair and gave the man her full attention to help.

Now that she thought about it, the man seemed like he was a bit irritated or mad. Isabella was a bit uneasy at his demeanour but did not want to offend him in any way and continued to be as polite as possible with him, he did look older than she was and knew she had to be respectful for her superiors. "Well if you're looking for restaurants..." she said before standing and looking at him. "There are a couple of restaurants down their street and more if you take a right at the end of it." Isabella hoped she was helping. She didn't exactly know what kind of restaurants they were since she rarely at out but she knew one of them was a fancy restaurant with a variety of food choices.

She wondered if he had the money to buy something. The town was raising prices now since Lexaria's gates closed. Certain items were harder to get and took a while to restock. Maybe that's why her herbs were costing more. Isabella was at a loss on words at this point.

Emiyn Devereaux

Location: Iafern, outside castle (west)

Time: noon

Activity: heading to market square

Interaction: @Mitchs98

At the right timing when the guard had turned his head, there was the soft shuffling of feet among the pavement and something ran past him. He turned to see no one. Perhaps it was a mouse? From the corner of the wall, Emiyn didn't even let out a chuckling sound but merely turned, now finally out of the grounds to the castle.

The minute he had stepped out of the wall, his eyes turned to see a figure not too far from the door. The petite figure of Haruko. "Good day, Haruko," he said, his tone immediately adapting to what was usually said in the street. He was always rather good at talking, including with different types of people. "You look pretty by the way," he said though he didn't even glance much at the adult's dress. Whether he meant it as a compliment or an inside joke among friends it was hard to tell.

He pointed to the central market square. "So, you up for finding something to entertain ourselves?"

Ned good up smiling. "A restaurant sounds nice. Somewhere to sit for a bit and wait." He said a bit of annoyance in his tone. "Oh well... I need for so I guess that will work." He looked down the street she pointed at then back at the girl. He reached into his pocket and felt around for a token. He took it and held it up. It was a coin that he had minted just before he left with his name on it. "Thank you, and here." He said handing to her. "When I become the hero of legends, you can say you helped him out by telling him where he could stop for food." He said chuckling to himself. He turned to be on his way. He started his walk down the road so that he may find something to fill his stomach. "I wonder how much this will cost me." He said to himself as he mentally counted how much he had since he got there.

As he started the walk he realized he must have looked like an idiot. 'Who boasts about becoming a hero in the middle of the day when they cannot even find a place to eat.' He thought as he sighed. He thought about going back and getting the coin back. He just huffed as he walked. "No reason to worry. I can make more." He said to himself as he took a piece of metal from his pocket and examined it. "I think I will make one tonight." He said to himself as he thought of how the image would look. He remembered that he had only one more gem left to be able to craft. "Or I will do it after I get more money." He huffed out.

Isabella Ridela

Location: Near the Tower of the Sun

Isabella couldn't help but giggle after the man left. She looked at the coin and read the small print. "Neil Dresdon...." she mumbled before smiling. He didn't seem too bad. She put the coin in her bag before making her way to her next destination. She walked the opposite way she had directed the man to the local library. She needed all the information she could get. She entered the library once she got there and went to the history section. Isabella spent a good amount of time looking for books with valuable information. She had planned on going to the Tower of the Sun first to see what she'd need to research, but she couldn't just go. She'd need a reason. In her thoughts, she believed saying "Oh, I'm here cause I had feeling." didn't make the cut.

Isabella closed there book she was reading and put them away before leaving. She worried about what she would do if she would be rejected at the Tower of the Sun. By rejection, she thought she'd be turned away by the tower itself. Isabella then went to a near by local garden and sat under a tree. She'd took out the coin Neil gave her and studied it. It was well made. The edges were smooth abd made a perfect round coin. The details was amazing. She wondered if her was some kind of specialist in the blacksmith field but it seemed unlikely. Isabella sighed before looking up. She was shaded by the leaves but rays of light peeked though. Isabella was ready to head to the Tower of the Sun at this point. She had most of her necessary belonging and herbs and now she had the "Coin of the Hero of Legends". Again, Isabella giggled before getting up and making her way to the tower.

(So Fabulous)

At the Tower of the Sun, it was similar to any other day. At the entrance on the most bottom floor, the doors were opened and there were a few people getting in. A few were leaving, after giving their prayers to the God of the Sun. The high priestess was not here at this time. Most likely she would be in the highest floor, were often it was only accessible by restricted people.

Though within the tower, the white walls and the glass windows would have given a peaceful atmosphere, there were some unrestful conversations that Isabella, and also Neil earlier, might have heard.

"Did you hear? Another merchant went to Roselea...?"

"... didn't come back?"

"No... "

"When was this...?"

"Don't know, but I heard he should've been back three weeks ago."

Location: Tower of the Sun

Isabella entered the Tower of the Sun. She'd occasionally bump into people who were getting up and leaving to her right. Once she was out of peoples way and began to feel at ease. It was beautiful inside and she was in no big of a hurry now. She decided to do a little prayer to pass the time.

(I'll wait now so the others can post.)

Jess

Location: Outside a tavern with @Dkingow

Objective: Trying
not to look like an idiot but failing horribly.

Jess sighed as she walked, feeling hungry. Lux gave a small squeak and nipped her ear, then pointed his nose in the direction of an Old tavern. Jess smiled at her small dragon and turned towards the tavern. She felt her foot catch something, an old root or a stone, perhaps even her own foot, but whatever it was she tripped over it, sprawling into a stranger and sending Lux flying into the stranger's face with a surprised squeal.

Jess was immediately embarrassed. "Oh Gods, I am so sorry! I didn't mean to... I was just..." She looked up at the person she had fallen into, and she gave a sort of embarrassed smile.

Lux was on the face of the stranger, his lizard-like toes gripping the stranger's face gently as he climbed up onto the top of his head. He shook himself off much like a dog and sprung off of the stranger's head, flying back to Jess, who was gathering up her spilled belongings. She seemed to have missed a small, folded-up piece of parchment that looked weatherworn, probably an old letter. "I-I'm so sorry, I should've been watching where I was going..." She said as she picked up her dagger and sheathed it. She grabbed her satchel and looked inside it, making sure none of her possessions were missing. She seemed content, and as she closed the bag the other man would just be able to get a glimpse of something silver that looked like a gauntlet for a suit of armor.

Ned heard the sound of someone falling and when he looked up all of a sudden a lizard was in his face. He scrambled to throw the thing off as it climbed on his head. "It is okay." He said still a bit flustered as he looked at the beast. He had only ever seen one dragon in his life and it was not a fun sight. He shuttered a bit at the memory. "Are you okay miss?" He asked trying to help her.

When she managed to get herself up he tried to be a bit polite. 'No need to cause issues before my mission.' He thought as he saw a piece of parchment on the ground. 'Must be hers?' He thought reaching down.

He picked up piece of parchment as he skimmed it real quick reading 'My Darling Jessica: If you receive this I am most likely dead or unable to continue on my journey left to die. As a result of my foolish quest (which I humbly plead that you forgive me for, for I have missed so much of your life) I am left with two things.' "Do not forget this." He said as he gave a small frown before handing back the paper and noticing the weapon and armor. "You know..." He started as he watched the dragon carefully. "Armor is usually better when equipped and not sitting in a bad." He said. Being a blacksmith meant that he knew what they went through from birth to death. The idea that someone would not use it bothered him a bit. He laughed a bit at the statement. "Sorry, I am a blacksmith, so I care for armor and weapons alike." He said as he looked to the tavern. "Were you going in?" He asked curious.

Location: Outside a Tavern with @Dkingow

Objective: making new friends (Maybe?)

Jess nodded and smiled apologetically as she stood. She took the parchment from the man gratefully. "Thank you," she said with a small smile. "I'm alright, nothing but my pride was hurt in my fall." She looked at Lux, who was on her forearm, as he was squeaking and chirping, before laughing. "Lux says thank you for not throwing him and that he is sorry for landing in your face like he did." The small dragon turned to face the stranger and bowed his head respectfully before scrambling up to Jess's shoulder. The man commented on her armor and she shook her head. "It is better, for the time being, that I travel in my normal clothes until I start my quest. I was going to grab a quick bite to eat, and maybe fill up my canteen before heading to the Tower of The Sun." She smiled saluted the stranger. "Jessica Casteero-Royale, Daughter of Ferdinand Casteero and Elizabeth Royale, adventurer and monster slayer. And this is Lux, my travelling companion." Lux puffed out his chest and gave a small roar as Jess relaxed and held open the door to the tavern. "Shall we?"

Ned just laughed at them for once having an enjoyable moment. "I see." He said as he motioned for her to go in. "By all means ladies and guardians first." He said bowing back at the little dragon. He could respect someone who was on a mission. As they walked in Ned went to the bar and sat down ordering some food. "I am Neil Dresdon, or Ned for short." He said puffing his chest out. "Soon to be Hero of the World." He chuckled as he boasted. "I plan on going to the Temple of the Moon and slaying any and all monsters there." His enthusiasm died out. "As soon as I can figure out what sign I should be looking for." He blabbed. "I have been at the Temple of the Sun all morning and nothing happened. I assumed something was suppose to happen to tell me where to go next." His food arrived and he took a bite. "I just need to get this mission done." He sighed a bit having his own reasons for wanting to do this. He looked over at the little dragon smiling a bit. "Why are you going to the Temple?" he wondered. 'If this girl is part of the "group" she will be disappointed when I take the mission alone.' He thought as he remembered the letter. 'Someone she cared about died probably the same way.' He thought as he frowned a bit.

Haruko Kiyama: Outside Castle(West)

Haruko looked up from cleaning his glasses to see the blurry form of Emiyn walking towards him. He smiled and waved in return to his greeting, "
Heya Emiyn. Figured you'd show up around now." He replied, donning his now smudge free glasses. He chuckled at his comment on his looks. "Thanks, I try." He told him jokingly. He figured Emiyn mostly meant it as a joke seeing as he knew he was actually a guy, but Haruko figured why not continue the joke? Besides, it was best he kept up the act at all times save for when he was alone with those that knew.

He looked in the direction Emiyn pointed and grinned at his words. "
Sure thing. I was hoping you'd ask. What exactly did you have in mind?" He asked, his grin widening at the thought of everything the two could do together.

Today was a great day. The sun brightly rained down upon Iafern warming up the people below. Speaking of the people they all seemed rather relaxed or as if they were enjoying themselves. It was as if the dark cloud above the Moon Tower wasn't there, as if the bad rumors and speculations weren't prying at the minds of the citizens. Although they could never truly forget about them. Something so big and dangerous is sure to stick around in your mind. But today seemed like an exception. The market center was filled with people either doing their normal routines, talking with friends, or stockpiling for an invasion. However there was another reason that made this day special. One more personal for Yuki. It would be the day she gets reunited with her sister! Once the two sisters hit the responsibilities of adulthood they grew very busy and grew apart. Reffy went off to be an important mercenary who was sent out on dangerous missions while the younger sister decided to join the guard. She knew her sister was making a difference as a mercenary, for the better in her mind, so she decided to become a guard. They were positioned in different places around the land and have never really gotten a chance to talk with one another in person. Letters were rather boring and a meeting was long due, but thanks to the decrease in activity at the borders she was given a break. She also wanted to meet her sister's lover. In their letters she learned that a boy named Garrett had hooked up with her older sister, and it was the younger girls duty to judge him. Yuki herself had no significant other and really didn't see herself having one. Not yet at least.

Yuki was currently heading down to the Sun Tower where she and her sister decided to meet due to how easy it was to find. Fortunately she arrived on time, a little early to be in fact, and now she just had to wait. The white haired girl took a seat on a polished wood bench, her black gloved hands resting comfortably in her lap. She was very excited to finally see Reffy once again, yet her appearance remained calm and collected as it normally was. Her red eyes dashed around the area as she scouted for anyone that resembled her sister, not wanting to miss her.

Jess

Jess smiled. "What a gentleman!" She said, grinning, ordering some food as well, which arrived promptly. She listened to him quietly with an amused smile on her face as she ate. She gave some of her food to Lux, who tore at it like a tiny wolf. "I'm going to the Temple because I have a mission that I promised my father I would undertake." She said.

Lux poked his head up from his meat, his head dripping with juices. He stared at Jess for a moment, motionless, before going back to the meat.

Jess laughed at her tiny companion. "Lux, you never were a very clean eater, were you?"

There was a small growl from Lux who didn't stop eating until his whole chunk of meat was gone. Jess reached into her Satchel and pulled out a small cloth, wiping the tiny dragon down until he was clean all over. She put her cloth away as Lux jumped to her shoulder, then settled down. Jess looked at Ned. "Well, if you're going to slay monsters, you're going to need some help." She said with a grin as she finished her food. She took out her canteen, then asked the bartender to fill it up. "With water please." She turned to Ned. "Some wise guy thought that it would be funny to fill my canteen up with Ale a few weeks ago." She shook her head. "If Lux hadn't stuck his little head in there I would've been... Well.... I wouldn't have been able to get home. I had to take care of lix for the next three days. This tiny little dragon couldn't hold his Ale," she said, stroking Lux's nose with a finger. The bartender brought it back and told her that it was water, and she believed him. "Alright, Ned, how about we walk to the temple together? I heard that three's a good number when travelling, no matter how far the distance."

Neil Dresdon

Ned chuckled at the little dragon as he watched. He stayed quiet for a bit as they walked out. When they stepped on the street he put his hand on the girl. "Listen, it is going to be dangerous. Go home. Take care of yourself and your little friend. Leave this to me. I can do this by myself." He did not want to see someone so young throw their life away. He also did not want to see the dragon get hurt and cause the girl pain or sorrow. "I am sure there are other things you can do, but let me take care of this." He boasted as he puffed his chest. "The name Neil Dresdon will go down in history as the sole slayer of the Temple Darkness." He said smiling to himself. He had hoped he did not offend Jess to much. He just could not bare seeing someone else hurt because of him.

He started to walk away and towards the temple hoping she did not follow. He climbed the steps to see a girl sitting on a bench outside. 'I just cannot catch a break.' He thought as he eyed the girl. 'I swear if she is here for the prophecy as well I will flip.' He thought staying a bit away.

Jess looked amused rather than offended as Ned walked off. "Lux?" She said. "We're not going to be alone." She clutched the note in her pocket and sighed. "Father, help me. What should I do?" She whispered. She felt a strong breeze pick up around her like she felt often before when she asked for her father's help. The breeze pushed her from behind, as if nudging her towards the temple. "Thank you." She whispered again as Lux gave a small croon. "I agree, Lux. Ned's going to get himself killed by the time he realizes he needs help. He can't do this alone." And neither can I. She thought to herself as she walked to the temple of the sun, making sure to keep her distance from Ned so he wouldn't see her. She pulled up her hood and hid her face as she walked into the tower. She leaned against the wall in the back, making herself look like a weary traveller looking for some sanctuary. Lux was safely tucked away in her satchel, hidden in her gauntlet, so no one would notice him.

"Well," he began as he started walking slowly. "I haven't had lunch yet. I'd be happy for you to join me." He paused for a moment before remembering what else he was going to do. "I'm probably going to head to the tower after buying a couple of gems and books. Did you want to get anything by the way? Clothes" he asked.

While they made their way, it would have been a rather odd view to some people. There was a young woman, walking with a young boy. Clearly they weren't siblings, but it wouldn't have been right to call them a couple either. Not far from the street they just passed, someone raised their eyebrows. There was a smirk on his face as he started walking towards them.

Senki Tazuya: Outside Sun Tower

Senki was currently above the city soaring through the sky ontop a dying Griffon. How did she get into this situation? Well you see, Senki is a monster hunter. And it just so happens Griffon eggs were a pretty good selling items, mostly for high class citizens breakfast, but they did have their uses for potions. And well, the nest she invaded didn't have any eggs; rather several griffon babies and a rather pissed off griffon mother. Long story short, Senki kicked its ass and pretty much forced it to fly her back to town. Getting off was always a hard thing to do for untame flying creatures, and fun. Very fun. Nearing the Tower Senki drove her blade into the base of the creatures skull, "
Well, this is my stop!" She shouted as she simply jumped off the creature a little ways away from the tower. She was durable enough, she'd survive the fall relatively uncathed. She was only about two stories up by that point anyways.

Though, of course thing didn't go as planned. She crashed into a bench, the bench Yuki just so happened to be in. As luck would have it, at-least Senki thought it was luck, Yuki cushioned her fall. Further luck would have it she landed in a rather lewd posistion, Senki's crotch in Yuki's face and Senki's in hers. Senki's mix of being dazed, confused, and embarassed more or less forced the girl to hold posistion(not to mention she didn't nessacarily consider this a bad thing).

Haruko Kiyama: Castle > Market Square

Haruko nodded slowly, lunch sounded good. He hadn't exactly eaten anything since breakfast so, why not? He then went on to explain everything else he intended on doing, including asking if he wanted to get anything. He hummed in thought a moment before shrugging. "
Dunno. Can't think of anything off hand. Might get myself a new outfit or two if I see anything I like." He replied. "And lunch sounds good, could go for some food right about now." He added. He grinned at the people watching them as they walked, his mind going over the various things they were probably thinking. They probably looked a bit odd, and he couldn't blame them for thinking so. 'Course, that was all for the best in his opinion. That meant it was working. "Dude, I tottally think those people think we're a weird couple or something." He whispered, pointing to a small group of people giving them funny looks.

The Plague Doctor

A small farming village on the outskirts, that recently had trouble with an outbreak of pox. A day or two before current events

Katherine awoke in a bed, for the first time in a few months. Her head ached viciously from channeling the plant magic to cure this village of the pox, but as long as they had all stayed in range it should be utterly gone. Suddenly there was a loud knock at the door and someone called out, "Ah, Doctor? There is a letter for you from the capital." She sat up in bed rubbing her face and said, "One moment please." Then she looked around for her robe that she had placed aside before beginning the ritual. It was hanging up on the door, along with her mask. She got out of the bed, almost regretfully, but knew that it was time to move on. She pulled the robe over her head, and then pulled the mask up over her head, clicking the seal shut. She opened the door and saw the innkeeper looking at her with a worried expression on his face, and holding a small envelope marked with the royal seal. He said "This came for you from the capital right after the ritual Doctor, but you said to not disturb you for at least three days. The messenger who left it said that it was an urgent matter.”

The Doctor reached out and took the letter from his hands saying, “Thank you for not disturbing me. I will be departing soon, but first did everyone remain within the range?”

The innkeepers smiled looking truly happy and said, “Yes! Everyone in town is entirely free of disease. A few people had some internal damage from the disease, but without the sickness fighting them our local healer could handle it. We are eternally in your debt Doctor, you have saved our little town.”

The Doctor nodded and said, “I am happy to help. I will leave through the back door shortly, please wait an hour to tell anyone of my departure. I assume my horse has been taken care of?”

The innkeeper responded, “Your horse has been fed and cared for. Also we restocked the saddlebags marked food as you requested. I will say that you are still in your room till tomorrow.”

The Doctor said, “Thank you. I hope your village remains healthy, now if you would please leave me.”

Katherine looked at the little envelope she held in her hands. Why was the Crown contacting her of all people. She knew they did not know who she truly was, although they might know that she was still alive more or less. She opened up the letter, and read it’s contents.

Plague Doctor, whoever or whatever you may be you are clearly an experienced healer, and capable traveler. We have need of those qualities for an expedition to Lexaria, and we call upon you to fulfill your duty as a citizen of this land. In return we shall hire five of the academies best healers to take your place amongst the outer villages, and we will provide you with all gems or herbs that you might need. We hope that you will come to the Temple of the Sun where someone shall outfit you with whatever you need.

Katherine pondered for a moment, but ultimately five healers could probably do her job far better than one, and she did still feel loyalty to the crown. As she snuck down the back stairs and around to the stable, she smiled knowing that now at least she was departing for a destination rather than wandering. She led her horse from the stables, giving it a little feed and letting it drink. Then she mounted up and set off for the capital.

Isabella Ridela

Location: Inside the Tower of the Sun.

Isabella got up when she heard some commotion. It sounded like people were yelling monster and others yelling monster hunter. Either way, Isabella couldn't hear everything very well so she got up. This building was a respected building and to have such commotion,... Isabella was curious. She walked to the doors and opened them. Isabella didn't even take the time to see what was causing the commotion or who was there, it could have been really nothing. Isabella then began to yell. "What is all this commotion about? Please show some respect and do not cause such chaos!" she said irritated. Though she herself was causing some racket she wanted to show she would not accept such ruckus. "Learn some manners-...." she paused as she decided to give the "culprit" a look. Two girls? They looked completely innocent, we except one. Isabella walked over to them. "Are you the ones causing the commotion... No wait. Let me re-word that,..." Isabella looked at the girl who seemed so dazed she probably forgot where she was. "Uhh...." She was confused herself.

For the sake of the girl who seemed to be the one who caused the racket she took off her bag and pulled out some herbs and remedies. "Excuse,... but I have to ask you both.... What is 1+1?" she asked as she settled down and was worried for them.

(Whoo, such ruckus. Much tagging)
