It's always the people that seem to have their lives together that end up dead in the girls' bathroom.
Hannah Craig certainly had her life together, probably neatly organized in a designer handbag like the one she carried around every day. She was the Westbrook Wombat's head cheerleader, a straight-A student, and everyone's all-around favorite. At least, that's what people thought until she turned up dead in the girls' bathroom during the last half of Westbrook's second basketball game of the season. I'm the one that found her. I wish it hadn't been me. I can still see her, cold and motionless, leaned over the toilet with blood dripping from her blonde hairline down to her red lips.
Needless to say, Westbrook, the small, picturesque town on the East coast, was sent off the deep end. No one knows who did it. Who could've had anything against Hannah, the perfect little angel? The Westbrook police force—made up entirely of a tall, thin man who doesn't know much about people and the way they work; and a short, stout woman who doesn't know much about solving crime and catching criminals—is on the case, but they don't seem to be getting anywhere.
That's where we come in. The students of Westbrook are the people that knew Hannah best. We saw her on her good days and her bad. And one of us saw her with the killer. Or maybe one of us did the killing ourselves.
What was once a town of happiness and prosperity has turned to paranoia as its only option until Hannah Craig's death is solved and avenged. It's up to us to set things right before the town goes too far in the wrong direction...but perhaps it already has.
