Other Panic attacks: how to deal

So!

It's currently 00:58 here which isn't great for my sleep partern yay.

I have suffered from mild panic attacks and have had periods at school when I was just afraid to get out of bed-for no explicable reason which really pissed my dad off- anyway. Finished school. Yay. Thought things would get better without stress. And they have.

A little.

I suffer from a few minor, I mean seriously minor, health stuff which my dad says is all in my head. Dr's say otherwise! I often am finding myself lying awake at night worrying about my health. That there is something worse wrong with me than what everyone says or I'm too afraid of the outcome to voice my concerns over my health. I'm also panicking that I'm young! Nothing can be wrong with me! But how can I know?

Anyone else suffer from any of this? Anyone have any advice on how to deal with panic attacks? Specially at night. Anyone have any advice on any of it???

I used to do the exact same thing I found for sleep specifically just doing something distracting and engaging before I sleep helped.

So roleplaying or watching tv or reading a book right before bed helped. I would go to sleep thinking about the show/RP/book rather than stressing out.

Also maybe podcasts or audiobooks to help you sleep might help. Basically stuff that distracts you so you don’t get started on the inward spiral.

This might not work right away and feed into a bit of insomnia so In that case a mild sedative might also help.

Connection, when I have anxiety fits or panic attacks, I call a friend right away and ask to get together. Hiding from loved ones or sitting in a quiet place makes it worse for me, I am dependent on community to restore me to a state of connection and joy.

I am medicated, I take CBD as well, I participate in counseling regularly, but the biggest help to my overwhelm has been connecting with people.

So, whenever I feel off, I just call up a friend and go do something.

I found that the adult coloring books help me alot. I also have a book that you scratch to reveal the picture. Also just going for a walk while listening to music and as childish as it seems Disney music helps alot ( in my case) mind you I do have anxiety along with PTSD. And when all else fails cat videos
