Naellia originated from a distant planet that had no such diversity nor beauty such as Pangea. She enjoyed just wandering about the forests and mountains of the land as she traveled with the Arabizeans. Of course, Naellia wasn't her birth name. It was given to her upon meeting the Arabizeans. Her birth name was long since forgotten along with the customs of her old life.

She was quick to assimilate for survival and soon became an honorary Arabizean, in all ways but physical. Her fair complexion made her stick out like a sore thumb against the patterned and tailed creatures of the Arabizea tribe. Though, the Arabizeans were fierce to anyone who chose to act on this difference. Many of the children of the tribe tried to replicate their fur patterns by painting on her with a mixture their parents made from uneaten berries.

Now, the Arabizeans

and Naellia make their way through a dense forest. Naellia hangs to the back of the group, entertaining the children as they walk along. The vegetation grew thick at the base of stories high trees and flowers grew to the height of humans. The children squeal and laugh and run circles around Naellila and a mother who also stays back to keep an eye on them. The vegetation thins to reveal a glistening river. The steady trickle that accompanies running water, soothing everyone into a sense of security. The adults stop to sip the clear water and the children run rampant in the shallow areas.

Naellia's hair flows with the current of the river as she bows her head for a drink. She then proceeds to wash herself off as the common dress of the Arabizeans left most skin unprotected. She stays kneeling at the edge of the water, listening to the sounds of the forest among the laughter of the children. She has seen many incredible sights by traveling with the Arabizeans. Though, despite the many creatures she has seen, she has yet to meet another intelligent person or group of people.

She doubts that even if she does, she wouldn't be able to communicate with them. When she first met the Arabizeans, it took her months before she could even form a simple vocabulary using their language. She was an adult by human standards, but, to the Arabizeans, she was a child. The leader of the tribe calls to her as the parents start to round up the children to head off again. "Can't we stay for a while?" She says slowly to him, thinking each word over and selecting them carefully as she keeps her gaze steady on the sparkling water. "Please?"

''Are we going to land here!'' ''What!'' the sound of the enormeous ship hovering of a tiny island was way too loud for the even loudest explosion to be at least a little audible. Communication was very hard, they had to use giant headphones for their eardrums to not explode here and there, the ship was so heavy, and the weight would need a really big machinery as well, noise was obligatory, comfortableness was not a priority here.

This newfound planet was simply amazing, there were perhaps colors so bright that not even in the safest and most ecological place in earth would you find such thing as well preserved and beautiful as what this planet gave to the eye, simply beautiful.

Thick, big forests could be seen from afar. Ace was more than excited to be able to have been hired for such an amazing task. As they went down, and the motors turned off, the sound of a pleasant, dense nature would rush to their ears. Appereantly, birds were chirping, or that way they called them in his home. Ace looekd around, like a kid in a candy shop, astaounded. This place was what you'd imagine when you read a book, so much type of nature and wildlife, unique to this place. If they found finding a single living cell, this would leave them with their jaw completely dropped on the ground.

A quick movement and his backpack would shake. He was eager to take pcitures of this amazing place, some type of memory to show his brothers, mother and father. He pondered if this would amaze them as much as this did to him.

People, humanoid peopel could be seen from a distance.
''Humans?'' he said, in a low tone ''I think so!'' the pilot answered. He slowly ducked, approaching a nearby lake, being cautious to not alert this special type of species.

An obnoxious, unfamiliar sound pierces the air. Naellia jumps to her feet, spraying water everywhere. The child go wide-eyed and panic, some even starting to cry. Then, just as suddenly as it appears, it's gone. "What was that?" A hand takes a hold of her wrist, tugging her away from the source of the noise. She glances back to the tribe leader, his hand tightly gripping her wrist. "It sounded like--" She's cut off by another sharp tug. "Naellia, we must go."

"I must know what it is. I can meet with you at the village." The tribe leader shakes his head, "It is too dangerous, Naellia. You're only a girl." She pulls her wrist free, realizing that all other members of the tribe have already fled. "It is better to lose one than many." She says defiantly, planting her bare feet further into the earth. The tribe leader sighs, mumbling to himself, "I will regret this." He gives her a solemn nod before hurrying off after the rest of the tribe.

Naellia kneels at the river again, splashing water onto her face. I can do this. I have training if I need to fight.... What if it's bigger than me? What if it has fangs? Or wings? Or...? Her thoughts are interrupted by the sound of a rustle of leaves. She stands and turns toward the source. "Wh-who's there?" She calls out in Arabizean.

A strange language was shouted against them. His gaze shifted to his pilot ''What the hell did that thing, or human, just say?'' ''I don't know, how the hell am I supposed to know alien language?'' Ace shook his head and looked back at the humanoid girl. It looked very, very human. If it was in him, he'd guess she was actually a human, just that it had some sort of strange paint shattered all over her. Ace was in a giant- astronaut like suit. This place could be hostile for human body, and he wasn't completely sure yet if it wasn't, but, chances were not to be taken.

Ace's only form of communication at this point was waving. He started to use sign language, hoping these beings would also use it
I come in Peace, No harm. that language not being too coherent, yet understandable. Ace hoped she could get at least a notion of what he was approaching, slowly going closer to the girl, arms opened.

Naellia stumbles backward at the sight of the creature approaching her, falling into the water. She coughs and sputters, her wet hair hanging in front of her eyes. It didn't seem aggressive but she definitely wasn't expecting something like that. After a moment of recovery, she wipes the wet hair from her eyes lifting her gaze to the strange creature. "What are you?" She asks and tilts her head, still seated in the shallow running water.

Then, the creature starts making strange motions with its hand.. or claw.. or... Either way she had no idea what it was trying to communicate. She makes her best attempt at replicating the motions, hoping to establish some form of friendliness. Her clear expression of confusion conveys that she has no idea what these motions mean despite repeating them back - though, sloppily.

Her markings begin to fade and, when she realizes, she rises to her knees. She crawls over to the creature, keeping her distance. Even when it shifts its weight, she hops backwards. It was something she had never seen before and she couldn't judge whether it was intelligent or not. This was her chance to prove herself to the tribe. She could show it to them! If it wasn't intelligent, they could skin it and eat it. And, if it was, perhaps this species would make a good ally. "Are you an ally to the Arabizea?"

Again, the being used an extremely confusing language. The last thing he heard briefly was his friend, the pilot playing a song, Hooked on a Feeling. ''Hey, alien thing! Enjoy this!'' ''What the fuck dude!'' he shouted back, in anger, how could this idiot play music in the moment that would do a revolution to humanity. The pilot, James to be exact, was dancing like an idiot.

''Ignore that idiot, I know you can't understand me, but, I bet your species has dumb people too.'' the girl looked confused, scared maybe, so, he took off his helmet. This air was more pure than the earth itself in the state it was. He couldn't help but take a good swing of it, inhaling it very calmly, a hard exhale shortly afterwards.

Ace slowly approached the girl, with all the calm he could, trying to seem as harmless and innocent as he could, hoping this being wouldn't kill him.

Another voice pierces the air accompanied by some other noises. The second creature starts to jerk around and convulse. Her expression of confusion turns into one of worry. Then, the closer creature shouts loudly which makes her jumps back. "No need to fight..." She mumbles, despite knowing that the creatures wouldn't understand. The next thing to occur is the strangest yet to her. To her horror, the closer creature removes its head. She shields her vision from the sight, not wanting to see whatever might lie beneath.

Where had these creatures come from that she had never heard or seen of them before? Nearly everyone on the planet understood Arabizean even if they couldn't speak it as it was the root of many languages of smaller tribes yet these two showed no implication of having any understanding of it. On top of that, the language they spoke was strange and slow. The syllables were sharp and the word were hard, unlike many languages of Pangea that felt like they flowed of the tongue.

She rises to her feet, still averting her gaze from the presumed headless creature. She takes a few small steps back toward the path to the village, deciding against making a beeline for the rest of the Arabizeans. If these creatures were hostile, which they had shown no inclination as of yet to be, she wouldn't want to lead them straight to the rest of her people.

The person once again used that strange language, it would always leave him in confusion, having no notion of what she was saying. ''What the hell did she say?'' ''Oh yeah, I'm a alien translator, she said fuck you, that'll be 5 dollars.'' a heavy sigh escaped his mouth as James would keep playing around. Ace slowly got up, seeing the girl stumble.

His suit was quite heavy, so, him approaching her was not an option, he decided to go back at the ship, sitting down near the edge of it, wondering what language these beings used, and how would it work. It would be perfect for him to get a notion of what she was saying, yet that didn't seem possible.

Naellia watches the strange creature retreat. She frowns, sitting on the edge of the stream. She stares at her reflection in the clear slowly moving water. From the glimpse she caught of the strange creature that removed its head, she was not unlike them. A pang of loneliness hits her hard as she remembers that she is an outsider to this planet. Though, those creatures clearly were not her own species it sent her into thoughts of her past life and her lost family.

Back on the ship...

"Hey there, handsome. I got word you're headed back to the ship. Come on down to Tech. I got somethin' to show ya." A feminine voice rings out from Ace's radio. It was the head of the Technology Division of the journey to Pangea - fiery girl who went by Ellie. Everyone knew Ellie was short for something, but no one knew what for. No one questioned her about it - and, for good reason. Ellie had her black hair cut in a short bob style with a streak of lime green in her bangs. She had her right ear pierce five times and each hole held a small silver ring. Ellie said that each one represented a heart she had broken, but no one really knew if that was true. All around, Ellie was a mystery... But, a great friend.

The Tech Center was crammed from floor to ceiling with every spare part imaginable on shelves. There were narrow pathways through the chaos until it widened to reveal a workbench and a testing area. Ellie sat at the workbench, working on a miniature robot by the looks of it - a simple side project to her. Ellie loved making things out of nothing or taking things apart and putting them back together just to see how they worked. She said they she had been messing around with technology ever since she was a child. When she was only 16, she invented the first teleportation system. Of course, it couldn't teleport anything larger than a grape any distance longer than a couple of feet. But, it still worked!
