hello and happy holidays! i’m paige (yes, this is a play on my username, and no, it’s not my real name, haha) and as you can probably surmise, i love christmas! i have finally been released from the hell that is finals, and now i’m looking to unwind after a particularly stressful semester with a cheesy, self-indulgent hallmark-style roleplay… if that sounds like something you’d be into, stick around c:
some stuff about me:
- i’m 19 years old and prefer to roleplay with people 18+, sorry! nothing against minors, it’s just a matter of what makes me most comfortable.
- i’m almost always on my phone (classic zoomer, i know) and so i’m pretty active! i prefer to have a partner that’s active as well. i’m not asking for everyday replies, but a few times a week is what i’m looking for!
- ooc chatter is a must! i want to be friends with my roleplay partners, and i feel like our chemistry often affects the roleplay itself!
- i’m looking for something short-term & casual! i’m down to plot as we go, and we don’t need to do super detailed character sheets. i just really want to get into something fun & stress-free to get my mind off of school! (especially since i’ll be going back in three weeks and my activity will go way down afterwards)
- right now, i’m only looking for something mxf, but i’m a-okay with doubling! i love to flesh out the universe we’re in and make it seem more human, instead of like it’s inhabited by npcs haha.
if you’re still reading, great! enough of the boring stuff, let’s get into what you’re really here for…
i’m down for plotting something together, or hearing you out on any idea you might have, but as i said before, i’m really only interested in holiday-themed roleplays! specifically romance, and mostly slice-of-life, with the addition of more serious topics because that added angst makes the fluff all that much better, y’know?
see the spoiler below for a few ideas i currently have! (they’re mostly barebones, i’m open to most suggestions!)
one—after being unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend a week before christmas, muse a is desperate for a solution to avoid showing up to her family alone, especially when she had them convinced she’d be coming home with a ring for the holidays. enter muse b, someone she hired after scourging several Internet forums and stumbling upon a service that offered fake boyfriends (or in her case, fiancés). the only issue is, she can’t stand him—and likewise, he doesn’t particularly like her either, but she has no other choice & he needs the money. besides, it’s only for a week. they can keep up the charade for that long without calling it quits…right?
two—muse a left her small town to pursue a law degree in the big city years ago and hasn’t looked back since. she always thought she was destined for greater things, and she has absolutely no regrets about leaving… until she suddenly drops out of law school & decides that it’s time to come back home to her family’s christmas tree farm for the holidays. burnt-out and disillusioned with life after years in the city, she’s hoping the change will do her some good, but she didn’t expect to see muse b standing at her porch, christmas tree in hand—they had grown up together, but the last time she saw him was their senior year of high-school, when she left him utterly heartbroken before promptly leaving him to pick up the pieces alone. now that he’s living at her parents’ farm, they’ll be forced to spend time together… and maybe, in the spirit of christmas, their relationship can be rekindled.
three—muse a and muse b own the only bed & breakfasts in their small town; and it just so happens that they hate each other. aside from being competing businesses, muse a is a snow angel come to life, the very personification of mariah carey’s top holiday hits. meanwhile, muse b is a self-ascribed grinch, the kind of person that bah-humbugs at anything resembling holiday cheer & is most definitely getting coal in his stocking. however, after muse a’s b&b suddenly gets struck by disaster, her & her patrons must temporarily move into muse b’s b&b… much to his chagrin. the relocation is temporary, just until muse a’s location gets renovated, but who knows if they’ll last those two weeks stuck under the same roof?
