Page Crash on Edit

So, this has been going on for a few days now. When I press the edit button on one of my posts, instead of the window that pops up, Chrome instead tells me that the page crashed and I have to reload it. This doesn't happen when I open the link in a new tab to use the full editor, but sometimes I notice a mistake in one of my posts and need to fix it quickly, hitting the button and forgetting about the crash in my rush to fix whatever was wrong, resulting in me having to reload the page and open the editor in a new tab.


This isn't all the time - Sometimes it does work, but most of the time it does not. Could it be that I've started to use multiple blocks of BBCoding for all of my characters or something? That's the only thing I can think of.

When a page doesn't exist it sounds like a cache issue: try clearing your cookies and cache.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here... My issue is that the pop-up editor for posts keeps crashing the page.

Try clearing your browser cache

Alright, just did that. Things seem to be okay for now, but then again this issue kinda happens in waves :/ I'll continue as normal for a while and if it starts happening again I'll let you know. Thanks, Wiz ( )

No, I'm using a laptop (Dell Inspiron 15, if it helps). I don't think it happens on my desktop PC.


Yes. It might be that, in the posts it usually happens in, I've been using Macros with a lot of pictures in them. I've read in plenty of places that the RTE kinda sucks, but I honestly prefer it over the BBC editor xD Sure, it can mess things up sometimes, but typing up all the tiny little details is just too tedious for me to handle.

I would recommend turning it off anyway. All of those tiny things will become not so tiny if you keep doing it over and over again. I'd prefer to type BBCode than to have my entire browser crash.

Right. I would too. The thing is, this only ever happens using the pop-up window when you hit the 'Edit' button on a post. Opening the link in a new tab to reach the editor on its own page, and the box for making a new post at the bottom of every page, both work just fine. Amazingly well, in fact, comparing to all the crap I've heard about it throughout the site. I just thought this might be an issue, and wanted to call attention to it to see if it could be fixed somehow. It's not a huge problem for me.
