1. The main one. Respect RPN and its rules.

2. Any questions or intrigue about the plot or story come to me! I love hearing ideas even if we don't incorporate them.

3. OOC will be friendly and respectful. IC be extra and add flair all you'd like BUT...

4. BE REASONABLE. Realistically adapt and make logical choices. Go into an infested overrun area alone? Your IC has ended lol.

5. I do not mind if you guys subplot romance. Just keep it PG-13.

6. Try to have UNIQUE characters. Stand out and subject yourself for character development.

7. Decoy Rule. Cause science.

8. If you cannot post due to IRL or other reasons please post in consideration of everyone else. I'm interpreting this RP to go relatively fast pace wise not too speedy, so if you need assistance ask and you shall receive! And...

9. If you do fall too far behind or get in a hole you cant climb out of that doesn't mean you're done for. Unless you're intentionally a jerk or going against the tide of the plot, you can get back up to pace.

10. If you band together, or fight amongst each other IC, coordinate with each other as I will be overseeing those situations with a final outcome, but stay true to character and skills. Don't force it just because you wanna "be great". No godmod, mary/gary sues.

11. HAVE FUNNNNNNNN!!!!!

12. Now, if you read, accept, and understand all rules: At the end of your CS, type the number in which the Decoy Rule falls under. Failure to do so will result in non-acceptance.

Background:

Since Cetra was a little girl, she'd always had dreams of traveling and seeing the world. She fell in love with the innovation and superscience the Republic of Biosapiens had to offer among Neo-Terra, seeing firsthand their superiority of the knowledge over the other two faction communities. Cetra longed to become an icon and prominent figure of her community, meeting the man known as The Great Seht, who was the world's strongest and most capable enforcer at that time. He'd become Biophasic, meaning he was genetically augmented to be given paranatural skills and abilities among his people, something only the massively wealthy or high-military could ever get done. Cetra was by no means poor, but didn't come close to the level of status required for such luxuries. She was raised in the streets of a Biosapien City, often her independent and willed nature taking her on wonders away from home, much to her parents discernment. They raised her with love, yet also with sharp discipline and morals. Her father, Tensin Lotus, used to work under P.U.N.K. as an enforcement official as well as an overseer for the system. He would tell Cetra his many stories and feats of being on assignments and tasked with keeping Neo-Terra's most advanced & secure system safe. His missions and travels, in which he lost an eye. He'd even met the President of Biosapiens and received a medal of Valor, bringing honor to the Lotus family. All this struck stars in her eyes, as she too became interested in the sciences and engineering, but not like those mechanical heads in the Steam Society. Not even like the cyber fanatics, she became interested in the advancement of mankind, the human body. So, she wanted to be like her father, but not just that... she wanted to be an icon, like Great Seht once was. Her mother Nata Lotus was a bit protective of her only baby, not wanting her to succumb to the lifestyle Tensin did. But she'd see over the years as Cetra grew, the girl had a brain reserved for the gods of man, and a golden willpower to match. Cetra thrived in her life and all she did, all to become a P.U.N.K. official.

She excelled in her studies, standing out from her street wise friends and become popular beyond just her family name. So much so she was recruited by The Republic to not just become an official, to join their ranks of the President's Force himself. They were looking to start a new program, utilizing the best and brightest to help keep the order and peace of the Biosapiens while also promoting more innovative affairs foreign and domestic. Nata was scared for her, as even Tensin was shocked at her opportunity. This was it, she was going to solidify herself and identity in the world. To be a new incarnation of prowess and admiration. She joined the Force at 21, and became the youngest as well as one of the first classes to do so. Then, her ream dream came true... she underwent the Biophasic Procedure, The Republic genetically augmenting her as she was given a Bio-Ability that was considered one of the strongest they ever sequenced. The science community called her a prodigy. Her ethic, drive, and skills were so impressive she was promoted to Marshal of her own volition, with her becoming a well versed person in her community. She was the definition of success and results. She gained the nickname Purple after her eyes, and it also being her favorite color, AND her abilities display in purple hue...

But now with the rumor and speculation of a conspiracy going about, Cetra is now tasked with investigating this matter as a callsign named Shithead is spreading information and data along private sectors and black networks to any and all that will hear, and the message was that something big was coming, on the level of The Blast that ended the old world decades ago. Cetra could only hope to find the source, and determine once and for all if it's actually true, or just another form of an attempt to garner power through information. If only she knew what was coming for the Three Factions. Or maybe... she did.

Note: She HATES the term mutants when referring to Biosapiens. It's considered derogatory and disrespectful to the essence of their ideals and beliefs.

Ashe
Jacek-Radwan-Cyber-Punk-Girl.jpg
A.I Companion: Pixel
Isabel Edit.png

Name: Ashe
Neo-Terra Citizenship: Cyberkin
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Height: 5'7"
Weight: About 350-ish lbs with mechanical prosthetics

Occupation: Techno-pirate? Hacker and thief, mostly corporate, both data and technology. Broker of mostly stolen parts.

Physical Extras:
- Tattoo along her right arm signifying her former hacker group. The group is long gone now, but she keeps it as a reminder of better times.

- Residual burn scars along the left side of her torso from the accident that took her left arm and leg.

- Modified Heavy Sentinel class left leg. At first, it was just a temporary prosthetic that was meant to be changed to something less garish once she was back on her feet, but she grew to love the extra ass kicking power and street cred it gave her. It's been heavily modified to dampen sound when she needs to be quiet, although the stealth mode cannot be infinitely maintained as it eats up a lot of energy. It can easily kick through walls, although heavy metal walls usually take several kicks. It can also propel her body up about a floor if she's trying to make quick getaway.

- Modified Surgical Shepherd Class left arm. It was liberated from some hot shot dirty corporate surgeon that she was hired, by another equally dirty corporation, to steal research from. It has been extremely helpful in those jobs that need a woman's delicate touch. It's since been outfitted with a holographic projector in the palm, a coating that absorbs solar energy, and a touch interface connected to her hack tool implant.

- A.I. Assisted Military Grade Brute Force Hack Tool Implant. The broker she bought the information from forgot to mention to Ashe that the hack tool was for a military A.I. controlled drone. After stealing it, it took about a year to modify it so that she could use it. Most of that time went towards reprogramming the A.I. inside the tool. It was such a strong and troublesome A.I., taking every chance to report her location to the military. She burned through several safe houses before finally creating the compatible version she is still using today. The tool itself is a brute force device. Connected wirelessly, it can cause enough damage to a system's code to quickly grab the information she's looking for. It's not very elegant, and often destroys the system when she's finished. If Ashe can physically touch a component in the network, the AI can attempt a quieter approach that is so precise, it's almost impossible to tell there was ever any tampering.

- A.I. Ashe named her A.I. Pixel. She could not delete Pixel's memory for fear that she could accidentally corrupt her hacking processes, so Pixel still remembers her time with the military, as well as the fact that Ashe reprogrammed her. She doesn't like to talk about her life before Ashe, but is presumably a bit sarcastic at times because of the experience. They've since become both friends and partners, with Pixel showing a genuine care for Ashe's well-being. She seems to have a mind of her own and genuinely cares for Ashe's well-being, choosing to constantly weigh in on Ashe's decisions and plans. While her primary function is to assist in hacking, Pixel also regulates Ashe's vitals, and is always learning new things from all of her experiences.

- Mechanical lungs and heart. The smoke from the fire that took her left arm and leg completely destroyed her lungs. Though she survived the incident, the doctor's at the hospital she was stuck at told her that it was only a matter of days before her injuries would overcome her. Her only hope was genetic treatment from Biosapiens, but because of her other physical injuries, she was rejected outright. "Not the worth the effort," they whispered on the other side of the curtain. To save her own life, she made a deal with the devil, a very shadey exo-limb broker that gave her a new set of lungs, an arm, a leg, and a new heart to handle the stress and power her new mechanical parts. That was her introduction into the life she now leads. After all of Ashe's upgrades, her heart can only sustain 3 consecutive days of power without a charge, and even less if she uses some of the more power draining techniques for a sustained period of time. She uses the solar coating on her left arm to refill energy over time, however she must visit one of her safehouses for a full charge, from time to time.

Personality Goods:
+ Calculating
+ Smart
+ A Soft Spot for Kids
+ Minor Robin Hood Complex
+ Silver Tongue

Personality Bads:
- Selfish
- Very Questionable Morals
- Possible over-reliance on prosthetics
- Loves to ignore consequences to her actions
- Slight prejudice against Biosapiens

Fears:
- Confined Spaces
- Uncontrolled Fires
- Being Caught

Skills: Expert Hacker | Very Skilled Engineer | Passable Firearms Skills | Slightly Above Average Hand to Hand Skills | A Mean Kick | Knowledgeable About Most Things Related To Exo-Limbs | Expert Information Gatherer | Silver Tongue | Expert at Finding Dirt and Extorting

Background: There's not much to say about Ashe's childhood, as it is not particularly unique to kids that grow up poor and on the street. She spent a lot of her younger years scavenging for parts in exchange for food and a tiny bit of money. Eventually, she was picked up by a gang controlled server farm, where she, and hundreds of other kids, were hooked up to power vast networks as a kind of hive mind, directed by a single machine, program, or smart-ish person (depending on the job). It was incredibly illegal, with a high mortality rate for the kids. Most couldn't handle the strain for extended periods, while others became too damaged from network defenses and hacker attacks. While not fully in control of her mind during her year in the server farm, she used her time hooked up to absorb as much knowledge as she could, as well as learning many of the skills that turned her into an expert hacker.
One day, without any explanation, Ashe and a handful of the kids in the farm suddenly woke up. There were signs of carnage everywhere, with hints that the server had been inactive for days. Ashe joined the surviving children to form the Children of Atmos hacking group, led by V, the oldest and most ambitious of the children. For years, they used the skills learned in the server farm to improve their lives by stealing from anyone that was dumb enough to be an easy target. It was the happiest any of them had been. They were a family, with a roof over their heads, a clean place to sleep, plenty of food to eat, and actual possessions for themselves. Everything was perfect, until V accepted a questionable tip. Ashe knew their comfort had begun to make them cocky, but she trusted that V would look out for them.

The target was a Biosapien corporation that was about to introduce some type of new procedure for much more efficient upgrades. The client hired them to steal whatever information they could regarding the procedure and corrupt everything afterwards. A simple enough job, one that they'd done quite a few times already, although maybe not against such a high profile target. Once the hack had started, everything was progressing well. There were quite a bit more defenses then they were used to, but something about them seemed off. They were difficult to bypass, but in a way that seemed obvious, as if they were programmed to fail in a way that made intruders become overconfident in their skills. Ashe attempted to message V, but she did not respond. Afraid that V and the others had gone too deep, Ashe removed herself from the network to physically disconnect everyone from the network. The next few minutes happened so quickly, Ashe is still not quite sure exactly what happened. She burst through V's room to access the network, only to find the room empty. Before she could rationalize the situation, a high pitched electronic screech filled the air, followed by the screams of her friends. She ran back to the common area to try and save them, but before she could reach them, a concussive force slammed her to the ground. She could feel blood seeping from her ringing ears, as explosions and fires filled the room. She watched as the fire crept closer to her friends, using all the strength left in her body to crawl to them. A second later, Ashe felt a large crash and everything went black.

Ashe awoke a week later at a hospital. A doctor tried to explain to her the extent of her injuries, but she could not hear him through the mental and physical pain. She knew it was bad, much of her body was bandaged and still felt like they were on fire. Her left side seemed to have taken the brunt of the damage, with her leg and arm completely unresponsive above the pain. She laid there for days, watching as the nurses and doctor's attended to the more affluent patients. The occasional nurse would wander in for basic upkeep, but her injuries were apparently too far gone to warrant the attention of an actual doctor. She used her fading strength to ask questions, but most just smiled and said nothing. She could hear them speaking of her using terms like "lost cause" or "any day now."

Ashe had all but given up, until a voice awoke her in the middle of the night. "They've given up on you, my dear. I can help, if you accept the cost."

It was a hollow voice, so cold and void of any emotion. Her weary eyes could not see the man's face in the dark, but she knew exactly who it was. Or rather, she had heard stories about a limb doctor called "The Reaper," who visited lost causes, offering help in exchange for their souls. Every bit of her being screamed at her to refuse. Her mind rationalized the situation, as it always did. She knew her life as a servant of The Reaper would be filled with hardship and sadness, and she knew that if she ever broke free of him, she would no longer be herself. Ashe knew the correct answer was to refuse, she knew this was an easy choice, she absolutely knew it. She knew, but the tears still burst from her eyes as she meekly nodded her head. As grown up as she constantly told herself she was, Ashe was still only a 17 year old girl with hopes and dreams, not yet ready to die with as many regrets as she had. Ashe noted how devoid of staff the hospital felt as the man wheeled her out and into a waiting nondescript emergency response vehicle. The doctor inside injected Ashe with a sedative that she felt kicking in as the jets quickly pushed the vehicle into the air. Her consciousness began to fade, with her thoughts drifting to V. She had not thought about the circumstances of the attack while she laid in the hospital, it seemed pointless to waste what little time she had left on it. As her sight faded, she vowed that she would not give up until she found V and learned the truth about what happened.

6 years have passed since Ashe accepted The Reapers assistance. In that time, she has wreaked quite a bit of havoc both for him, and for herself. The grip of The Reaper has loosened enough over time, allowing Ashe to live a fairly independent life. He rarely speaks of her actions, or of her mission to find V, so long as she diligently completes the missions assigned to her. Ashe's search has yielded very few actionable leads, but she has heard rumblings that something big may be coming. She has not looked too far into it yet, but she may be forced to give it more attention if it becomes an issue.

Nicknamed "Fluffy Bunny" by Hazel
fa66b479bbfa8988a6460e601b8ce015.jpg

AI buddy Steph
XG0nDoF.jpg

Name: Hazel
Neo-Terra Citizenship: Cyberkin [Team Cyberpunk]
Age: Late 20s
Gender: Trans female
Sexuality: Homosexual
Height: 6ft 1, 6ft 4 in armour
Weight: 95kg, heavier in armour

Occupation: Bodyguard/Security Forces

Physical Extras:
-Tattoos
The image of a smoking revolver on her back, a smiling face on the back of her right leg and a bullet with her own name tattooed on it over her heart. This tattoo covers the scar of a gunshot.
-Scars
Including the one over her heart, there's small surgery scars on the joints connecting her arms and legs to the rest of her body.

-Cybernetic enhancements
Robotic eyes: Allowing her to record or capture at will. These also come with a TDS (Threat Detection System), an ideal enhancement for anyone with a dangerous profession. The TDS allows the user to scan for heat signatures through solid objects as well as weapons and other threats loaded in a databse.
Ears: these ears allow her to hear through walls as well as hear things far away too, when activated with the TDS.

Arms: Military grade cybernetic replacements allowing her more strength and flexibility. Together capable of lifting up to 600kg (for reference, the record for Olympic weightlifting is currently 473kg by Lasha Talakhadze). Able to punch through concrete and are bulletproof. The left arm has a grappling hook attachment, while the right hand has a SARU (Stealth and Recognisance Unit).
The SARU detaches from the rest of the arm, and using the fingers crawls like a spider through the likes or air ducts. It can be remotely controlled by the user or by a friendly AI and comes equipped with recording equipment, a grappling hook and a taser.

Legs: Military grade cybernetics such as the TLS (Tactical Leaping System), allowing the user to jump higher and further than any normal human, up to 40ft/12.192 meters (world record is currently 29ft/8.95 meters). This system also allows for a greater running speed, up to 40mph (world record is currently 28mph, held by Usain Bolt).

Organs: Her heart is partially cybernetic.
Exoarmour: As well as slightly increasing her strength (650kg), the "Fluffy Bunny" suit is made of a military grade, adaptable armour plating in order to survive hostile environments as well as heavy gunfire and plasma shots. It can deploy a protective bubble-like as well, for up to three people (not including the user).

A.I: Steph is the closest friend Hazel has, acting as a helper and occasional counsellor initially. Providing information on an area, people as well as being able to access the SARU and hack some devices she's very useful to Hazel's job too. She's encouraging but puts Hazel in her place when she needs to, not being afraid to call her out for stupid decisions.

Personality Goods:
+Quick thinker
+Charismatic
+Witty
+Strong moral compass (despite her job)
+Good with kids and dogs

Personality Bads:
-Closed off emotionally
-Prone to anger in some situations
-Stubborn
-Feels she needs to prove herself

Fears: Failing to protect a target
Accidentally killing someone unarmed in the crossfire
Losing Steph, either due to her being destroyed or their friendship ending.

Skills:
Skilled with firearms (preferring pistols), blades and hand to hand combat.
While not a hacker per say, she has a knowledge of computers good enough to stay on her toes around them.
Infiltration/stealth as well as some military tactics used by the Cyberkin forces. She can blend in.
Perceptive, even if she didn't use her robotic eyes she can detect threats.
While not an engineer, she has enough knowledge around her own cybernetic attachments to keep them working should they be damaged.

Background: Hazel (born Hugo) was in the more crime-ridden parts of a bustling Cyberkin city, with security forces either paid off by underworld types or absent for other reasons gangs ruled her neighbourhood from behind the scenes. It was seeing the corruption first hand that convinced her to join the security forces herself, along with her childhood friend. On her way through the academy she started her process, with Stephanie supporting her through the whole thing. Due to the nature of Cyberkin society, the process wasn't viewed as that big of a deal by those at the academy, but that didn't make it easy.
Despite stress from the process, she still passed at the top of her class alongside Stephanie and the two were put to work protecting and serving the people of Cyberkin society.

Things went well for a few years, with the two rising through the ranks. That was until them, and a tac team were assigned to protect a highly important VIP named Ned. He was a CEO turned political figure running for office who was determined to stomp out crime. Needless to say, some underworld types didn't want someone like that in power. They attempted to assassinate him. Hazel tried to take a shot aimed for Ned, but Stephanie stood in front of her. Before Hazel could even process what was happening, the bullet tore through her partner right before striking Hazel herself. A piece of shaptnel found it's way into her heart.

Due to advancements, she made a full recovery but Stephanie was not so lucky. However, she had been working on a digital version of her consciousness behind Hazel's back and, determined to keep her partner with her Hazel (with help from the AI) downloaded what remained of Stephanie's mind to create the AI. Since the assassination attempt on Ned, she has been improving herself constantly with as much technology as she could afford...And it helped to have a political figure in her debt.

While mostly acting as a bodyguard to VIPs, she has continued to work in the security forces to break up underground rings. It has been 3 years since she was shot and Stephanie's body died. She hopes to, with enough funding create a life-like robotic shell for Steph so that she isn't restricted to an AI form.

Writing Sample:
The sky was black, and empty of stars. The only lights in the sky were those of neon billboards and a few security force drones patrolling, the blue lights from their headlights illuminating rooftops and some of the streets below. A billboard for a new enchantment, that of a robotic hand with ten fingers instead of five caught Hazel's attention, and she scoffed at how impractical it was.

She sat atop a skyscraper that reached the clouds, it's dark blue lights acting as a warning to low-flying drones but also a middle finger to some of those in the worse-off districts, as the ivory tower could be seen across the entire city.
"All forces, hold back and stand by for my signal." She whispered
"Copy that." A voice replied
"Steph."

In Hazel's right palm stood a hologram of Steph.
"How do you want to do this?" She asked
"Activate the FSU on the fortieth and thirty-ninth floors."
"You didn't say please."
"Sorry. Activate the FSU on the fortieth and thirty-ninth floors. Please." Hazel smiled "Hey, Steph. Are you afraid of heights?"
"If you were to fall to your death, I would simply transfer my functionality to another security officer of your standing, become friends with them and do this all over again..."
"You're kidding, right?" Hazel laughed
"Maybe." Steph grinned

Shaking her head, Hazel stood to her feet and walked towards the edge of the building. With her arms outstretched she dived off. As the wind blew through her hair, and floors flew past her she activated her TDS.
Viewing the floor now above her, she watched as the thugs started to cough, batting away at the gas with their hands in an attempt to see. The Fire Suppression System, or FSU was working well. It deployed a gas to bat out fires rather than a traditional sprinkler system, so as to not damage equipment or fuel the fire, especially if it was caused by an electrical fault.
There were five thugs, each of them heavily armed with rifles or shotguns.

With the thugs disorientated, Hazel made her move. The grappling hook in her wrist clutched onto the side of the tower and pulled her through one of the windows. She raised her arm to her face, so as to protect if from the glass while her armour did the rest and used her other to draw a sidearm. The first two thugs went down before the rest had a chance to react, with bullets in their arms and shoulders.

She charged towards another thug as he aimed his rifle and kicked if from his hands, knocking him down with a heavy punch to the stomach and a knee to the jaw. Drawing a knife from her belt, she threw at another thug, striking him in the shoulder and kept low. The gas would keep her covered, at least for a while and she wanted to keep it that way.

"Find her!" One of the thugs barked
Seeing a thug approaching through the gas, Hazel activated her SARU unit, sending the drone flying towards the thug's head. As the hand clutched onto his face he let out a muffled yell. This only got louder as the drone unleashed an electrical charge.
"That's five down." Steph said "Nice going."
