My Interest Check
Zero watched patiently from his perch in the bell tower of the ancient village. His visor was over his eyes, showing his target's movements on a HUD map. Talon was advancing slowly, taking their sweet time in coming ever that much closer to the small hamlet. He had intercepted a communicae that they were planning on raiding the village for "volunteers". That usually meant recruit, burn the village and kill unwilling participants. He wanted to expose them to the government and force the military to take action, but he couldn't prove it without getting video footage of them doing the deed, though he'd much rather tear into them immediately.

Suddenly, his tracker picked up movement of a high energy signature to the south, which disappeared quickly. He was facing east; the Talon procession was headed in his direction. Did they send recon units ahead? That was unlike them. In a seemingly easy target like this, they'd waltz in like they were now without a worry in the world. He set a distance marker on his map to go off once Talon passed it. He'd need the alert if he got busy figuring out who else was in the village.

He had already changed his armor pixelation to tan, in order to be more well-concealed in the arid, desert environment, not to mention cloaking his energy signature. Most of the buildings were built from brick and mortar made with local materials, therefore matching the landscape. He turned toward the last known location of the disturbance and adjusted one of his optic sensors to zoom in on it. He couldn't see anything physically, so he switched to infrared. His eyes widened suddenly. He could barely make out in his altered view the outline of a silver-back gorilla concealed in an alleyway.

Is that...Winston? He thought incredulously. He caught the outline of a couple other figures peeking out as he waited. Mercy? There were also multiple unrecognizable soldier types with them, most likely backup combat personnel. Zero decided the best course of action would be to wait for Talon to engage them and flank them from behind, unless of course Overwatch could take care of Talon on their own, which he didn't doubt. Zero sat down in the bell tower and waited.
