also to the current conversation, I can't wait for Sombra and Doomfist to come out...


sucks that the AMiC lead (for those following the ARG) is only at  15.0973% so far.
 
there was speculation that she (Sombra) might have the ability to see enemy ult charges... ("she who has information has the power") wonder if that's actually going to be a thing on top of the possible stealth mechanic...


Can't wait to find out either way!

Doesn't do you any good to die and feed ult charge just to look at ult charge and make it a 5v6 in the enemies favor after all :P

I would like my character to have minor support abilities. A limited heal ability of some sort, maybe like 76's thing, but more efficient. Maybe her ult could be a version of that, and it heals allies within a certain radius until too much damage on it is taken? Either that or something like Lucio's secondary fire, but on every hostile surrounding her. Or if someone does damage they take damage, like Genji's deflect, but ganruanreed hit and it can't be concentrated on a single target. I have a few ult ideas! But her abilities aren't tech based, they're like Tracer's. Constantly there (maybe regulated or augmented by tech though).


heheh I'm getting too excited about this... The backstory is more solidified than the potential ability ideas, too!

Well, people getting mean on voice chat is absolutely unacceptable. There's no reason to demean others, especially if it's something like Quick Play. I consider myself a bit above average in terms of skill and I just hold in my complaints and leave silently at the end of the match.


I do care though. Just depends on how you look at the game. I'm a really competitive individual. I enjoy these sorts of games in that my team can potentially outplay, outwit, and pressure the opposing side into a loss. Winning always feels better than losing. Pretty much everyone would agree to that. To that end, I hold myself to a high standard and try to go above and beyond in how much I contribute to our victory. If you think about it deeply enough each individual is either a positive or a negative for each match, and the greater total between the two teams determine who succeeds. I feel bad when I underperform and strive to do better.


So seeing somebody jump on the Harambe meme bandwagon and accidentally jump into a pit 4+ times as Winston. Seeing a Reaper run headfirst into a group of enemies shooting only to be blown away time and time again. Seeing a Hanzo never use his his ability to highlight enemies through walls because he just couldn't be bothered to even try. Yeah, it irks me. If you're playing with actual human beings, why not try and become better rather than just go "lol whatevs" and shrug it off because it's "all in fun"? Seems a bit inconsiderate from my perspective.


To be perfectly clear my issue is with those who don't seem to care about trying to improve at all. Not those who are bad, but those who are bad and okay with remaining where they are. I personally think a person should always work toward improvement in anything, even games, but...eh. Can't force the world to agree with me on that. Hence my silence, as mentioned at the beginning of this rant of mine.

Also, delayed, but when you were talking about future hero releases. The mentioned hazmat hero actually became Ana (was confirmed in a dev stream.) 


I wonder what kind of hero doom fist will be though... I wonder if he'll be all melee with like a gap closer or something to make use of that "level a skyscraper" power of his :P
 
@Enigmatic Cat Yeah. Have a pretty beefy gaming rig so it's hard to go back to consoles. I had been debating picking it up on PS4 a while ago to play alongside my little brother but the PS+ price increase solidified my choice to stay off of it outside of a couple single player games here and there.


That's extremely disappointing. Hazmat Suit Person was the one I was most interested in by a large margin. Oh well. All of the cast so far have been homeruns, so I'll still be looking forward to whatever they throw at us. I do imagine Doomfist will be an offensive melee to mirror Reinhardt's defensive melee. Gap closer seems like a given. It's just a question of what kind of special utility or gimmick he'll have since that+knockback move seems a bit bland for something they'd add.

Yeah I heard about the yearly increase... Hate that, but I suppose it was inevitable.


They said hazmat Hero's abilities were mostly the lobbed grenade that did healing and the dot damage autos, the rest were scrapped for Ana, and while I think it would have been interesting to see what they would have been, I'm happy with how they've handled things so far.


I mostly play on PS4... I'd like to play on PC more, though I haven't been able to find many people that were interested in partying with a lv5... Even though I'm not lol.
 
@Enigmatic Cat I could swallow the price increase if they offered more with it. The whole situation is just disappointing. The fact that I never really had that multiplayer experience I wanted on their console kinda killed it for me.


True enough about the levels. Recently overheard someone whining about a level seven being on their team over voice chat during a quick game. Hilariously we ended up splitting the gold and silver about 50/50 at the end. Guy was salty as hell.


I'd be down to play a few with you if you're ever up for it.

And of course! I just got home from work, not sure if you are on at the moment or anything.


I get that... I switched over to PS4 when Microsoft decided to kill off the Xbox when 360 came out... Only reason I still play online is because all my friends followed suit and life would suck without them, so, yeah heh.

Try to never get too upset or grouchy over how other players act in the game because there's a good chance that you're playing with actual kids! Just putting that out there  :)
 
I have a question to everyone playing i on PS4? is overwatch being laggy as hell for you you guys? Sometimes it lags so much that it's unplayable but other games like elder scrolls online and gta5 work great

I haven't had any issues with it recently... I think I've only been kicked from PS4 overwatch like 3 times since launch and even fewer times when lag was an issue...


you do seem to have a bad time of it towards the later hours though from what I saw last time we played. (not sure if that's still an issue)

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's being a pain in the rear... Not sure what would be causing that... No one else I know has had any issues with it either... hmm.
