Conflict. As the world teetered on the brink of anarchy, a new hope arose. An elite international taskforce charged with ending the war, and restoring liberty to all nations. Overwatch. Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities. Guardians who secured global peace for a generation. Under its steadfast protection, the world recovered. And today, though its watch has ended, its soaring ideals of freedom and equality will never be forgotten.

Overwatch was created at the behest of the United Nations during the Omnic Crisis. A war against robots was unlike any humanity had fought before, and no single country was successfully holding its territory, but it had been observed that some soldiers and strategists were thriving in this new style of warfare. As the nations of Earth struggled against the omnics, the UN pooled together their best soldiers and technologies to form an elite strike unit. Unfortunately, after 30 years of global peacekeeping, the organization's influence waned and Overwatch came under suspicion of corruption and sedition. With the public distrust growing, the organization came under suspicion and after many struggles was disbanded, it's members dishonored.

The disbandment of the organization however didn't ease the rising tensions. Just the opposite. With no global peacekeeping, new evil awoke. A scientist, developing advanced AI that can prevent crime went rogue. A glitch in its programing lead to the conclusion, that humanity can't be cured - they are the disease, plaguing the world. With that rogue program taking control not only of the omnics, but also of the world, the need for heroes to rise came once again. Will Overwatch be back? Will Morrison and Reyes cast their differences aside, and work together once more? We are about to find out.

Greetings to all who wanted to participate in this RP. I sure hope we would all work together and bring a new and interesting story to life. Now pick up your keyboards and let's start creating. You can find various helpful links bellow.

Peace. The world has been enjoying lack of major conflict for almost a decade. Overwatch was now a distant memory, legends from bedtime stories. Talon, the terrorist organization they were fighting was forced into hiding. There were several minor hotspots across the globe, which were subdued under questionable circumstances, by individual figures with extraordinary abilities, but those were only rumors. The omnics have been causig trouble here and there, but nothing major as well.

It was a normal sunny day in a solar farm, harvesting the sunlight into ckean energy. Billy was a textbook nerdy technician, with his blue jeans and shirt, little sunglasses and a hard hat, who was inspecting the solar batteries. He didn't notice anything out of the ordinary apart from a glitch in the computer system controlling the output. He didn't think of it as much as he sat down in his chair and got to work.

The police officer was sipping tea in the police booth right next to the traffic light. There were several vehicles here and there, nothing major. It was unusual that this light traffic lead to a crash. Nobody was injured, but the cop found it interesting. Both traffic lights were green. "Must be a glitch" the cop mumbled as he went to assist the crashed citizens. Those were just several examples of the computer glitches that were happening across the world.

Q7 stepped on an omnic head that had sparks appearing often from a hole it had in the middle of its forehead. He then kicked it away to proceed to a laptop in front of him. In the bright white room he was in were few omnic corpses and an empty magazine, and himself. Q7 stared at the screen of the laptop. Instead of showing the status of the deadly weapons the gang was storing, it showed the desktop. He navigated with the mouse, but no program was running.
"So much for a glitch."
He said as he turned around to walk away. He slowly walked across the other chamber, which had a huge iron crate in the corner with a scene of former intense battle. People wearing gas masks were down, and omnics were destroyed. Q7 checked the explosives he rigged and kept walking. When he reached the exit, he entered the decontamination chamber and walked straight out as soon as the door opened. He walked up to a sewer entrance, and jumped down without any second thoughts. He stood up and walked away, pressing a small switch that looked definitely like a detonator. After a moment, a huge boom could be heard, and the debri fell down the entrance, blocking it. Q7 sighed and walked away.
"And another one gone. Too much business around here."

Ana was traveling to Europe from her homeland, mainly on foot. She was enjoying her youth once again. Her sight was once again excellent, and she was experiencing a feel she lost long ago - she was seeing with both her eyes. Her bones hurt no more when the climate was about to change. She had forgotten how good the youth was, but she was experiencing it once more. And she liked it, despite 30 years ago the had the exact opposite mindset. "Years and growth change so many things" was what she was thinking, while slowly approaching the Nile Delta, where the river met the Mediterranean sea. She was ready to leave her homeland for the n-th time. And nostalgy was not among the things that was bothering her.
In best case, four days will be enough to reach Gisa if there aren't any sandstorms, or if there are any - hopefully not so intense. And it actually seemed that it will rain. Knowing that, she tactically distanced herself from the Nile, but was still near enough to see and follow it. It was essential for her to follow the river, as she didn't bring a map and a compass with her, and the only stable object to keep direction was exactly the Nile. Also, in this era of high technologies, she is probably the only one to cross the desert by foot. Others could only consider this as a sheer lunacy, but for Ana it was a nice start in her new... actually old life.

Egypt, the city of Hurghada. A military transport carrying explosives leaves town, in the direction of the port city of Alexandria, where they will be transported by ship to the Balkans, where they would be used for mining. Their route was clear - follow the desert highway next to the Nile river with armed escort, and pray to whatever deity is listening that no sand storms hit. But this day, there was something more dangerous than sand storms in that desert, something much more deadly. Something, whose name means Death itself has come. And he was not alone.

Although there was a retired Overwatch operative within the security company that was protecting the cargo, everybody was nervous. They were carrying enough explosives to level a small country. It would be strange for them not to feel the pressure. After making sure everything was secured, the truck, along with its 4 SUV escorts, filled with armed personnel left for their destination. Police helped clear a route out of the city, but that was just about it. Once the convoy was out of the city, they were on their own.

The highway was empty, nobody was crazy enough to travel mid day through the desert. The temperature was at the scorching 55 degrees Celsius, but the convoy was enjoying their travel in their air conditioned cockpits, the security officers sharing stories of their past exploits. Everybody listened with interest the stories of the retired Overwatch commander, who told them everything about the golden days - days long gone and forgotten. Everything was going well. Far too well. It wasn't long when things went bad. An explosion turned the first SUV front over end, causing it to land on its roof, killing and seriously injuring those inside. The rest of the convoy came to a halt. Another explosion took out the rearmost SUV, blocking the convoy in place. Several nomads opened fire with their AK47s, targeting the security personnel and the tires of the transport. The Security Officers quickly recovered from the initial shock, and devised a strategy - provide covering fire, while somebody reaches the first truck to radio for help. The plan went perfect. The lightly armored nomads had no cover, apart from the sand, while the security officers had their lightly armored SUV for cover. One by one, the attacking nomads started to fall. The spirits of the Security officers started to get higher.

"They are retreating!" one of the officers yelled, when he saw some of the nomads getting up and falling back behind the dunes. "We won!" somebody else yelled, and shot a couple of rounds in the air from joy. Everybody was cheering. Everybody, but the retired Overwatch operative. "No... We haven't... We are all going to die!" he said, dropping his gun. He knew what was about to happen. Dark mist appeared on top of the armored truck, causing confusion and fear to spread like wildfire. "What's that?" somebody yelled. A dark and brooding voice came from the shadow. "You look like you've seen a ghost!" the voice echoed. The security officer opened fire, but with 0 success. No bullet could hurt the shadows. Slowly, the mist took shape of a hooded man, holding 2 shotguns. "Run... Run as fast as you can!" the masked man said with his voice sending chills down the spines of the security personnel. None of them knew what to do. They all watched in fear while Reaper took them out one by one. Their bullets had 0 effect on him, nobody knew how to kill a shadow.

Sniper had been waiting on a hill near Reaper, watching everything unfold, prepared to help at any time if he got the command. He started looking around, searching for more enemies that might flank them, just to be sure. He had one eye on his scope and the other on the screen inside his helmet. The fact they were in the desert messed with his thermal sensors.
