Overview & Main Roleplay

Oromis Siverspire

Once again Yaro's tone infuriated him. It was too casual. He was a fool to think that he was in a good position here. However, he did make some points. For one, it was true that the civil war, though Oromis believed would eventually be won by the Loyalists, would tear the country apart, and it would take a long time of healing and recovering to match the strength of his rivals. Normally he wouldn't care, as his aid with the Rose Princess should have made a great alliance with the Rose, but now...Yoren had gotten to the point where he would do most anything to see his land burn, and because he left making a threat to him, there was a small chance Oromis would live to see that promise come true. He knew this, and accepted it on the journey to this place...but now...

With this proposal, he would be giving up the throne. He would be showing great weakness as a leader, and might lose the respect as one...but is that what he wanted? At this point, he was bored of ruling. All the economics, the social niceties, the drama...it sickened him, and this Yaro fellow really wanted to put up with all of that. Gods knew why, but it was a good deal for someone that knew how to do this kind of thing to be in charge. "You are right about one thing...we will destroy each other" He growled after some thought. "And if there is one similarity between us, I'd like to believe that we both want what is best for our great country, yes?" He turned to face him now, though he seemed to be looking past him. "Your proposal, as it stands, essentially has me stepping down and putting you in command, though I retain control over the Military, as well as get all the perks and power a King may have?" He snickered, which began to turn into a chuckle, and then a laugh. "I care little for the politics of leadership. All I hunger for is power, and if I hear you correctly, you intend on offering me it...Am I wrong?" He took a step forward. "What's your catch?" @Andraus

Alamar Majere

Alamar jumped back as Demons began to attack. He surprised himself when he was able to dodge the vast majority of swipes that began to assault him, but when he saw the orange glow, he knew it was magic. While he was fast enough to evade the first series of attacks, one caught him by surprise. His magical barriers shattered under the attack, leaving the Demon slightly confused as to why he didn't slice the puny mage in half. His surprise may have only been matched by the expression on his face, as Majere uttered "Calinaz Rilong", and 7 magic missiles flew from his staff, killing two demons around him. Alamar was not ready for close combat, and began to dart back. "Princess, and other one. I will need assistance! I am not one for hand to hand fighting!" He called out. A lesser demon, Type III, he would guess, began a charge. With too little time to safely cast a spell, he relied on his staff...

The strings of magic, that had been embedding themselves inside the others for hours, tightened, and pulled. Energy was ripped from Cecile, Lance, Lanister and Yoren, though because there was so many of them it didn't pull huge amounts, though all of them would be able to feel it. The energy swirled into the gem in his staff, which launched a lightning bolt towards his assailant, killing it on the spot. "Seriously though! Hand to Hand, not my thing!" He began to edge towards the golem, hoping it would be a good meat shield and fighter so he could start working his magic...

The tall, leathery giant of a demon didn't suffer long. In Dreadnaught's swift sling of his axe, the creature was sliced in through its neck and chest area. The thing fell lifelessly to the ground; a successful, instant kill. This left two of the creatures remaining, which Lance chased away and Alamar eventually killed.

Cecile rushed towards Alamar when they were called, hoping to assist him. She could feel a stronger surge of energy flowing through her, and was at last confident that with Lenelia's aid she could produce more powerful spells. She drew her wand back, ready to send a blast of fire at their next adversary, but it was then she felt a different feeling. Suddenly her power was drained... she wavered slightly; she kinda wanted to slip to her knees but she didn't. Her attention shifted then to Alamar, who she knew then was responsible for this peculiar set back. "Alamar!" she shouted at him, angry to have been weakened for the sake of his spell.

Despite the questionable ethics of Alamar's attack, his spell was also successful and with the energy stolen from the others it was powerful. Now only three demons remained. The creature attacking them from behind, and the large ominous figure of the demon leader yet to be discovered by the fire. The sharp outline of his boar skull helmet could be seen piercing through the smoke, and down below at his feet was the bakeneko. They were observing in wait, and the bakeneko was feeling quite sweaty as he saw the demons be easily slaughtered.

Prudence crossed her arms and snapped at Klaus, "don't give me that". She was referring to his grumblings about her decison. There would be no comprimising of her baby's safety if she had anything to do with it. She looked down at her little baby, bundled and nestled in a sling around her chest. He was beautiful, she reflected.

She began to lead Falamar and Klaus nearer to the local markets of Amberjack. The marketplace was colorful with fruits and vegetables and scattered about were various oher shops that would have the supplies they needed. They approached a stand of fresh sea food and Prudece lifted a fishing net to observe and play with it in her hands. "Choose whatever you think we will need", said Prudence to Falamar.

Natha would start approaching her in his gravewalker form, hatred and rage burning in it's eyes. Before it could make the first move however, The creature would hold onto it's head, letting out a hacking cough, before his aura would begin spiking. The flames around him would turn silver, as the creature would hiss in pain, as Natha would revert back into his normal form, gagging. Maeve and Ferris, from their position, could see burn marks present on his skin.

Natha....heard Maeve?! He injured himself to control himself!

"I thought I killed your pathetic clan, when I murdered the Matriarch and Patriarch at Narcost, in Alethea.....Obviously, I didn't stamp out one of their children, or is that whore you call a sister still alive? " Natha said, holding his arm as he taunted Maeve. He knew the Ishikawa had a close relationship, so him insulting her sister would likely ruffle her feathers. When she questioned how Maeve survived, Natha let out a laugh. "How, do you ask?..."

"Because she's stronger than me, and sure as hell stronger than you."

Natha would then draw his bow, before aiming at Ferris. Deftly moving his hand, he would begin rolling. Three seperate arrows would fly from his bow, aiming towards Ferris, one aimed towards her her stomach, the other towards her left arm, and the third towards her leg. At least one would hit home, he was sure of that that, and these arrows were coated with holy water- Demons would hurt like hell. Smacking the bow into the head of a lesser demon, he would press his hand to the creatures head, the bright flame glowing onto it. Due to this being a lesser one, not a full-fledged Raid Demon, it was much quicker and simple.

Natha had only one order for the demon ."Erase the darkness!"

Natha would then rush forward with the demon, drawing his sword, as he would deftly deflect shots from the rifle. He was a survivor of the raids, a noble from Alethea, and he had fought too many demons to count. No matter what, he had always come out on top. Now here was THIS BITCH, trying to taunt him and play him like a lute.

He had not...

Come this far...

TO DIE NOW!

Getting in Close, Natha would lunge at her with the sword, killing intent in his eyes- They were without fear, as if he had accepted death as a 'very real ' possibility, but he embraced it with open arms.

"You're correct in every aspect....As for what is the catch? You stay out of my way when I try to do something." Yaro said, leaning back. "Yunakai is more than just a country, Oromis...it is a remedy to the ills of this world. It's economy is like a blast-furnace, paving the way to a new horizon." He said, looking off in the distance. "We stand at the brink of a new age. I am offering you to be apart of that bright future. I can take care of the political garbage, I was trained to do that, but my kingdom needs more than politicians- We need warriors, we need an army....our army is already weakened from internal strife, but I know you Oromis- You are the best damn fighter in the entire kingdom, and you never quit."

Yaro would lean forward. "To build the future we deserve, We must look at our enemies- The Rose Kingdom, hiding behind their walls, and the Kingdom of Bathelon, with their merchants and sly words....Do you know what I see? I see gold, prizes, land..... things we need." Yaro said. He would then look Oromis in the eye.

"You're the only one I can trust to do this- I need you to go to the Rose Kingdom.....and I need you not to conquer them, we will do that anyway.....but to break them." Yaro said, fire burning in his eyes.

The Rose kingdom had been a major power for too long....Now, it was time for the Rose Kingdom to fall.

Ferris simply rose an eyebrow and smirked at Natha. "So willing to hasten your death at the behest of a friend? Ridiculous," she called out, but with Natha's insulting her sister her gaze turned thunderous. "You may have killed many demons before me, but don't think you're going to get far this time, Gravewalker," she snarled. She took one large swipe with her nagamaki to smack one of Natha's arrows away, sidestepping all at once and avoiding the arrow aimed at her leg, but the one aimed at her left arm punctured just beneath her elbow and she hissed at the holy water as it ate at her flesh. She pulled a dagger from her coat and immediately dug the arrowhead out; blood poured down her arm, out of the wound, but it was drying quickly to seal it shut. It would be a weak spot as the holy water hindered her regeneration, but at least the fastest route to death was prevented.

She dug her sword into the ground beside her and raised Mizuki's repeater rifle to her face, aiming and taking several quick shots before tossing the weapon aside--Sorry, Mizuki!--and leaping onto the handle of her sword, balancing perfectly for a moment and dodging out of the way of Natha's strike, her leg swinging out with such force that it caved the skull of the lesser, weakling demon, and sent it flying right into Natha's line of sight.

Ferris's next move was to counterattack, and so she leaped off of her perch and took up her sword once again, swinging in a wide arc with both hands firmly grasping the long handle, hoping to catch Natha off guard and hit him from behind. There wouldn't be quite as much damage as usual due to the wound still plaguing her arm, but Ferris hoped it would be enough to even the odds a bit.

_-_

Maeve was knocked unconscious by Ferris's counterattack against her, and Kalamitat stirred and took control of the body. This fight was Natha's; even the trapped demon could see that. a quick decision had Kalamitat turning and racing away from the fight, away from potential harm, where its host could recover safely. After all, if Maeve died, Kalamitat probably would too.

While the amount of energy pulled from each party member was small, Lance still staggered slightly, and was glad that the demon that had been attacking him had fled, otherwise he would've died then and there. The king was exhausted from his shift and the ensuing chase, and Alamar's spell wasn't exactly helpful. (It was, in the sense that it killed the last demon, but it was still inconveniencing Lance).

"So, anyone have any idea how we're going to take out the rest of these demons?" he called out; the party had been weakened by the onslaught at Wyrm's Skull and his mood turned pessimistic; would they even make it out alive?

Dreadnought rests his axe on his shoulder, the blood from the slain demons dripping from the blade. "Yeah. I hit them with my axe until they stop living. Whatever Alamar did did hurt, but I'm still fine." the large golem replies, looking to Lance, his stance relaxing.

Klaus was silent as he accompanied Prudence to the marketplace. He visibly, though jokingly, pouted like a child; refusing to garner any food for himself.

. . .

Aizen's brow furrowed in frustration. The Muspell Spirit wasn't slowing down. They needed to focus everything on killing it. Using the last of his magical stamina, Aizen flung up a rather powerful scroll, sweat and bloodveins visibly appearing on his face as the scroll's spell: a Cone of Cold, burst from the paper and blasted the molten demon with pure freezing energy.

Lenelia smirked at Dread's success; somewhat relieved that he didn't lose control like last time. They'd have to be able to harm him to do it, after all. When the Bard's attention turned towards the Muspell Spirit, he gritted his teeth, his voice lined with pure malice and magic as he shouted at the demon.

"PISS OFF ALREADY YOU MOLTEN BOOGER!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, his Celtic Druidic accent quite thick as he seemed to lose his cool. He hoped the demon was displeased with this remark; the power of his Vicious Mockery would make it far less dangerous if it was.

The Muspell Spirit was thrashing about, slinging lava in every direction. The blobs of lava completely destroyed the land they touched. The heat was high and smoke was everywhere... Cecile couldn't help but cough. It was difficult to breathe.

After Aizen's attack, the Muspell Creature began screeching in pain as it body hardened. It slowed down, suddenly losing its ability to move in the areas frozen by ice. The lava disappeared and when the smoke faded all that remained of the Muspell Spirit was a hardened rock of a statue. Its lava had turned to earth. It was nothing now.

Cecile gaped at the thing, stepping nearer to the demon to get a closer look. "You did it, Aizen!" She exclaimed excitedly. She ran to Aizen and hugged him before standing to her feet and gazing back towards the fire pit.

In the distance she noticed the creature with the boar skull on his head was gone. The fire was raging, but now around it was empty. Had it fled? She didn't know... but it seemed their group was alone now. Well, except for the bakeneko she could see limping away again.

That fucker left me here, the feline thought to itself as it sluggishly made its way, hoping the others would leave it alone.

"There", she said, pointing at it, but the exhaustion from the long battle finally hit. She slid to her knees, "can we please stop", she said aloud, hoping for a break to catch her breanth.

Lanister gasped for breath as felt the strings of magic rip from him. At any other time, he would've likely shoved a blade through the man's neck, but he was more concerned with ensuring Cecile's safety. After Aizen's, Lenalia's, and Dread's brave counter attack, the battle was seemingly over. Lanister took a breath, opting to make sure he bought those three the best damn houses he could pay for in Valpurina when this was over....

When Lanister heard Cecile remark, he glared in the direction of the limping bakeneko. Walking over, he'd pick up the limping creature, pulling out his folding blade, and extending it. "I have every right and every reason to skin you alive and cut you down like a rabid animal, give me one good reason why I shouldn't?!" Lanister said, putting the tip of the blade to the creatures throat, to show he was serious.

Natha saw the attack coming, he knew this was going to hurt.....but to Ferris and (likely) Kalamitat's surprise, they'd watch him just stand straight, as the attack struck his shoulder. To any lesser human, it would've likely shattered his arm, But Natha ground his teeth as he took the attack. With her blade stuck in his shoulder, Natha would turn around sharply, before grasping Ferris throat. The silver flame around his hand would be enough to force her to her knees.

Then, Natha spoke in a voice he shouldn't have.....a voice that commanded authority. "Suffer me now!"

Natha would drop his sword, and raise his Mithiril forge-hammer, before striking Ferris across the face with it, to send her to the ground. Natha would then walk over towards her. He would pick his sword back up, before speaking to her in the same voice. "The light shall always prevail, demon. All who resist shall be 'burned' by it." He said, raising his sword to cut her down. However, before the blade would meet her back, Ferris would see.....a hook, holding onto the blade!

Mizuki!

"You know sis, Aren't you the older one here?! Shouldn't you be saving my ass?" Mizuki said jokingly, before knocking Natha back. Mizuki would grab Ferris's sword, and toss it to her, before grabbing her rifle, and checking the crystal. "Hmm......Crystal is still nearly full. Power consumption reduced by 10%, best case scenario...." She said, before walking towards her sister, and helping her up. "What do you say we teach this mortal fool a lesson, sister?"

The bakeneko went limp in Lanister's grip. The bulky cat knew that this was the end. He'd been left by his leader and it was no accident... They were through with him. He was left for dead because he failed.

He could do nothing but gaze and await his death. He'd been nothing but a lowly grunt as it was, and he didn't have any valuable information to give to them. He would accept his fate with dignity, rather than squabbling for a response that would get him nowhere.

It was then his eyes met those of the Rose princess. She was resting on her knees a short distance away and her blue hues were filled with fear. She felt sorry for him, he could tell. He decided to keep his eyes on her, finding some solace in knowing she had sympathy for him.

Suddenly the cat's hairs stood up and his ears perked out. He could sense something off about the girl... like a grim shadow flooding into her aura.

He understood. The cat began to laugh, it was more of his old confident air of attitude. He turned his head slowly to Lanister and he whispered with his tired breath,

"Because I know something very bad is about to happen to your little princess". He was referring to Cecile's curse... Like many of his kind, the bakeneko could sense the coming of an illness. In this case, an insanity attack. He resumed his evil chuckling, surprised by his narrow victory. "It almost looks like a curse to me", he purred. He of course had no knowledge of Cecile's encounter with prudence or the curse she bore, but he could sense it...

Cecile watched on curiously. She didn't want to see a cat be skinned alive, but when she noticed the cat leaning in to whisper she leaned forward to try and hear. She couldn't hear anything.

Lanister would glare down at the cat, his eyes scanning for lies...and finding none. Grinding his teeth, Lanister would flip his folding blade back into it's sheath, before speaking up. "She needs a solution. Best case scenario, we kill the witch that cast it, but that won't always be an option. If you have a solution, Black Cat, Speak." Lanister said, his grip still strong enough to hold the bakeneko, but now loose enough to allow it to breath.

The cat shifted uncomfortably and took in a deep breath. He was relieved to feel Lanister's grip loosen, but he didn't like what the man said. The cat turned back to Cecile, "I can't break a curse of any kind... but I can detect when its effects will appear, and right now that's very soon".

Cecile clamored up to her feet and approached the two, unsure of if she was hearing right. "What did he say?" She asked, her voice wavered slightly.

Before anyone else could answer her the bakenko spoke, "I said you are about to have an ugly episode".

Cecile froze, understanding what he meant. Her cheeks reddened and she took a step away. How long had it been since her last spell? Too long, she thought, thinking he was telling the truth.

"What should we do", she finally said aloud to Lanister. She glanced up to the sky and back.

"If I may interject." the Bard stepped between Lanister and Cecile as the talks of curses began to ring up.

"First and foremost. M'lady, we need to know what kind of curse is afflicting you. It may be unsafe to recommend anything until we do. And.." he trailed off, looking at the cat. "Do you think I could keep him? As much as this cat dislikes me, I think it's a fitting punishment. I could use something to annoy, heh."

Aizen fell to his knees, clutching at his head. Forcing that Cone of Cold gave him a headache.. one that robbed him of his immediate strength. He grumbled, trying not to draw too much attention to himself.

Cecile listened to what the bard had to say before finally reaching into Lanister's arms and pulling the creature into her own arms. The black cat was big compared to Cecile, and she struggled for a moment with its weight. "We can't be mean to him if he can help me", she said, and this was the last thing the cat needed to hear.

He relaxed, Bingo, he thought to himself, resisting the urge to cackle but doing nothing to cover up his big grin. With the girl's approval, the bakeneko knew none of them could hurt him now. He looked to lenelia, smiling comfortably with Cecile's soft touch.

Cecile laid the bakeneko in the grass. The area was clearer and much of the smoke was gone, but the fire was still burning, albeit it was smaller. She knelt next to him, "Can you tell us anything else? How much time do I have?" she asked. The bakeneko was licking itself; he was both dirty and wounded.

"I don't know, but it shouldn't be long now...", he purred.

Cecile looked around and spotted Aizen. He didn't look good, and now she was scared to continue. Perhaps they should stop there until morning, she thought. She stared back at Lenelia for a long moment. "I have an insanity curse...", she muttered. She hated acknowledging this issue. "If I'm truly about to have one of my episodes... I wish we could stop", she said.

"Here boy,"Yoren would appear beside the halfling, with a small potion in his hand. "That'll help," The old man would state simply, without mentioning his odd disappearance during the battle.

"H-h-hello?" A nervous voice would call out from near the remains of the bonfire. If one were to look, they would find a portly man stuck in a crude stockade, dressed in in sweat and blood-stained silken pajamas. "Could someone let me out of this thing that atrocious boar headed bandit put me in?" The fat man asked, in a voice accented from royal living.

Upon hearing the second woman, Edward would step forward, blade quickly drawn. "My lord, I cannot stand aside any longer. If they would try to slay you with by breaking the honor of a duel, then let them face two blades rather than one." The knight would state bluntly, with utter conviction in his voice. He would not be convinced otherwise on this.

Inside of a large tower in Traghad, Quezor would move about the cell he had claimed as his own, grabbing ancient scrolls, books, potions, and various rare ingredients from all over the room. In the doorway, a goat demon stood with his arms loaded with various objects and treasures. "Damn those fools! I finally come within a hairs breadth of finding the Heart of Cassiel, and now I must flee! So close to ultimate power! Come Brutus, we shall make our leave through the eastern gate, away from those wretches!" The demon lord would shout, before heading towards the door, pushing the heavily burdened goat demon to one side, who would give a quiet bleat before then quickly following after his master.

In the southern most portion of Traghad, a powerful magic entity would stir, sending ripples of power throughout the area. The energy was not demonic, nor holy, but of the purest mana anyone in the area had ever experienced in their lives. Near the four who prepared to fight, the Radiant Guard captain would speak but one sentence in fear. "Kylorin Stirs," and with that, every Radiant Guard would charge forward towards the gilded gates of Traghad through the four fighters seemingly without even noticing them in their hurry.

Falamar would speak to several merchants, asking for barrels of pickled fish, hardtack sea biscuits, salted meat, and rum. Lots of rum. "We're only going a short ways away, right? So we won't worry about grabbing any livestock. I hope you folks can deal without eggs and fresh bacon for breakfast," Falamar would say, giving a quick laugh before continuing on to the next merchant.

Lance nodded gratefully to Aizen once the Muspell spirit had been defeated; he would've said more, because it was an impressive spell, but he was more focused on not collapsing and finding a new weapon. He kept one ear open to the party's conversation while he searched the camp for anything useful, stockpiling rations and a few ceremonial looking weapons. None of the latter looked all that useful, more for show than anything, but they were something.

When the bakeneko reported one of Cecile's attacks coming on, Lance growled quietly to himself; he didn't have the mental strength to try and ward it off for the princess--but Lenelia specialized in magics that affected the mind, more or less! With that, the king abandoned his previous task and made his way towards the bard instead.

“Lenelia, was it? I was thinking maybe you could put Cecile under or just use a charm or anything, just to keep Cecile from wandering too bad and cooperates when the curse takes over.” Lance would hate for the group to get into another skirmish because the princess wasn’t aware of her surroundings. Or, worse, for her to get captured.

Ferris tensed in surprise a moment before Natha’s hand wrapped around her throat, just barely too late in figuring out something was wrong. “Son of a bitch!” The pain was excruciating, far past her high threshold, and she did buckle to her knees. It was difficult to focus, but the woman still managed to raise her hands and grip Natha’s arm just above and below the elbow, in a perfect position to break it rather nastily, if she could just get the strength to go through with it. Exhaustion was seeping quickly into her body, and it felt like her life was being sapped.

The demon cursed a second time as Natha’s hammer whacked her away, but she was grateful for the release from the vengeful man’s silver fire. She could feel the energy returning to her body already. Ferris had landed on her stomach, and flipped herself onto her back in an attempt to raise some sort of defense before Natha killed her, but Mizuki's appearance saved her from this. When the hook wrapped around the Gravewalker's sword, Ferris rolled away and accepted Mizuki's hand, skirting Natha warily to retrieve her sword.

"No fancy tricks, Mizuki. He's actually dangerous," she said, eyeing the enemy groups' human knight when he spoke up about honor or something similarly ridiculous.

"This conflict is far beyond you, human. Unless you're pining for your death, then I suggest you stay away," Ferris snapped back, actually growing sort of irritated with this snowball of a situation. When the demon came back to stand next to her sister's side, she leaned over to whisper in her ear--it wouldn't do to have the Gravewalker catch on to her plan.

"Just hold him off until Quezor has left. Hopefully he knows to head towards Amberjack. As soon as he's gone, we're leaving as well."

Aizen downed the potion like a parched man in the desert, greedily swallowing gulp after gulp. When all was said and done, his head no longer ached. He rose to his feet, rubbing his temples after doing so. He said nothing.. everyone was safe, the demons were defeated. All in a day's work.

As Lance approached Lenelia, and made his suggestion of controlling Cecile, the bard quirked an eyebrow. He could manipulate the Princess? With no threat of bad consequences? He'd certainly take that deal.

With a stride, he approached the Bakeneko and Cecile.
"Cover your ears, Fluffy. I'm gonna doctor the Cursed Maiden" He spoke, as he pulled away his Lute. If the cat couldn't block out the song, then he could possibly fall under its spell, too. His fingers lithely bit and nipped at the lute's strings in quick succession, producing a light, heartful melody. The lute's song was accompanied by Lenelia's voice, laced with the magic of Suggestion.

"Send thyself off to sleeeeeeeep~ deeeeeaaar maaaaaideeeen~. Dream of home and all that makes you haaaaaaaapyyyyyyy.~"

Prudence and Klaus followed Falamar through the marketplace, allowing Falamar to pick out the supplies needed. Prudence occasionally lifted a fruit or vegetable to observe, but other than this she paid the stands little attention. Her eyes were usually focused on her little one, understandably. When Falamr made his comments about their rations, Prudence met his eyes with her's. The baby stirred and made small noises.

"I need to have good food to feed Alfio", she complained. Was it really necessary for such a short trip? Probably not, but Prudence was antsy about the trip.

A short distance away stood a colorful fruit stand. it was filled with green bananas and bright oranges amongst other fruit. Standing before the stand and staring down at a banana was Edwin, the former Rose Knight. The young man had abandoned his post after getting the Rose princess swallowed by a large feline, or so he believed.

Edwin took a quick step away, narrowly avoiding eye contatct with Prucence. Slowly he turned his head back to carefully observe. He knew who she was. Indeed, everyone in the Rose military knew who this woman was. A look of surprise came to his brown eyes when he noticed the chubby bundle in her arm's.

"The Rose Kingdom's most wanted. Wonder which one's the dad", he wondered aloud about Falamar and Klaus.

. . .
Cecile frowned at what she heard Lance say. She didn't wish to be controlled, but when she turned back to the bard he was beginning to strum a light melody. The music was soft and nice and the princess did her best to make herself comfortable next to the fire. The princess was soo asleep, more quickly than even she'd expected, but it didn't help that she was already so tired.

The bakeneko let out a soft hiss and grumbled to Lenelia, "your..tricks...can't get to me", but already the thing appeared to be falling asleep. Sometime while sleeping the cat found itself nestled against Cecile, and the two were sound asleep in the grass. Hopefully, the group could get some much needed rest for the evening.

Up until this point, Dreadnought had been relatively silent, not having much to say about what was happening. He settles onto the grass in a seated position with his axe rested against his shoulder, the blade standing straight upwards. "You all get some rest. Since I don't sleep, I'll keep watch. I'll holler if something happens."

Klaus almost looked as though he would claim a bundle of bananas, when he caught the sight of Edwin. This man, he didn't recognize, but apparently he knew Prudence, as evident by his body language. He nudged Prudence cautiously, motioning with his eyes towards Edwin.

"Is uh.. is he Alfio's creepy uncle? Or uh.. is that me?" Klaus hoped to be the creepy uncle. The scars only sold it further!

Aizen shook his head at Dread's request of sleep. He didn't need to sleep. He was still shook up with adrenaline following the battle. He sat upright, watching Dreadnought's blindspots.

Lenelia could only snicker as the Bakeneko fell to sleep aside Cecile. They looked so cute together, if one ignored how the cat was trying to get her killed earlier. Maybe now it'd turn over a new leaf. Lenelia wanted the cat to stick around so he could annoy it further. He leaned down and gave it a brief, gentle scratch behind the ear before he stretched, crouching down and setting his lute and crossbow aside; though the rapier was of no bother. His Elvish blood made sleep seem less of a heavy slumber and more of a meditative trance.. but of course, the Human in him meant that trance was a thick one, much like sleep. He'd be easy to awaken, surely.

"Tally-ho, fellows. May you awaken feeling... *yawn* beautiful." he slurred out before he fell to sleep himself.

Lanister would hand Lenelia something- a flask! The scent of fresh ale would come from it. "Valpurnian Pale Ale. Make from Dusk-Glow wheat, one of the few things we can grow underground. Figured our singer could use a drink. Careful though- Only one I got. That flask is also expensive, a small crystal is embedded to keep it chilled. Useful for long trips in a desert." Lanister said, patting the man on the back.

He would then walk towards Aizen and Yoren, before anything, however, he heard someone from inside one of the cages. Walking over, he'd flip out his folding blade, and cut the stockades holding mechanism. He would then help the man up. "Take it easy sir....." He said. The man likely was cramped up from the stockade.

Natha would glare at the two, before looking towards the old knight. "Thank you for your help, Edward, we're running out of time. You take care of the loud mouth lunatic, I'll take care of the child. " He said, intentionally taunting Ferris. His blade would collide again with Mizuki's hook, as the two engaged in a battle of arms. While Mizuki was spirited, sadly she did not have the same combat training as Ferris. This was quickly a losing battle.

In the market stalls, they'd suddenly see people running and cheering. Commotion was quickly spreading. One of the merchants nearby Prudence's group and Edwin would ask a passerby "What is going on?"

"Lord Oromis has sworn fealty to King Azar! The war is over! "The passerby yelled with glee.

Cheers would break out in the market, from the shop-keepers to the guards. The last year had been total hell for them, and they fought hard. Now, their fight seems to have been worth it- Yaro was on the throne now, he was Yunakai's lawful king. This meant that soon, Prudence would be Queen, her son a prince. The market vendors were now almost giving away their stores, believing they were at the dawn of a golden age.

Prudence was instantly alarmed by what Klaus had pointed out. Now she was doing her best to peer at Edwin, but Prudence was having difficulties seeing him clearly with so many others wandering the markets. Her height made her resemble a child in a small sea of adults. "I don't think I know that man", she whispered to him, already appearing quite frustrated by the situation.

It was then another person commanded the attention of all who were present. Prudence narrowed her eyes in an icy glare at the intrusive and obnoxious crier, but when his words began to sink in a look of awe came to her green eyes. She looked down to her feet a moment before gazing suspciously at Edwin. Then, she smiled.

"I want him arrested!" Prudence declared, causing a gap in the crowd to part around she, Klaus, and Falamar. At the end of the cleared path stood a stunned Edwin, his face was pale and he was evidently caught quite off guard. Pru was standing confidently, pointing as she said it and without a trace of remorse on her face. Afterall, this man was looking at her baby! She didn't recognize him or suspect him of being related to the Rose Kingdom, but she would know why he was staring at them.

Edwin fumbled for words and instinctively began to run, but quickly realized he was swarmed with rebel supporters. Edwin knew he couldn't escape so instead he did his best to stay calm. He held his hands up in a sort of surrender as he spoke, "my queen, whatever for!?" he pleaded.

Prudence was not amused. SHe waved her hand dismissively to him, "SIlence. You are hereby under arrest. Seize him!" she shouted, enjoying her new power.

The doctor merely shrugged as Prudence denied knowing him. More in his favor to be the uncle! Except.. no, Heinrich thought. He couldn't be an Uncle. Yaro wasn't his brother. No, alas, he was an only child..

His thoughts were cut off as a Crier announced that the battle had been won and Yunakai was theres. The doctor could only shrug again, a half-decent smile of vague relief upon his face.

"Well. That was easy."

Then came when Prudence immediately began abusing her powers, arresting the stranger on the spot. The doctor was unsure of what to think of this... until the very obvious answer hit him.

"Ooooh.." Klaus sighed, "Okay. I understand. First order as Queen: staring is illegal." He smiled with confidence as he shut his eyes tight. "Don't worry your Highness, I am no vagabond. I shall not stare!" He calmly began to walk off, confidence dripping off of his stride... until he collided with a building, recoiled, and fell flat on his arse. There was a brief pause, before he called out like a complaining child.
"Prudeeeence! Can I be exempt from this law? Pleeeeease?''

. . .

The Valpurian drink found it's way into Lenelia's pouch before his eyes grew too heavy to keep open. Lanister's remark about how expensive the drink was was not lost on him.. but soon, he'd be something akin to a celebrity! He could fill a whole wine cellar with those Pale Ales with the gold Bathelon would throw at him for his songs. He could only smirk, dreaming up how their skirmish would go.

Prudence placed her hands on her hips at Klaus's display. She watched on with a look of great annoyance as he marched away with his eyes covered. His peculiar actions brought with them an awkward silence that fell over the crowd. Edwin was frozen, still holding his hands up. Guards who had been drawn near were standing in quiet wait, one of them staring curiously at Klaus.

"Ugh, that is ridiculous, staring is not illegal", she began to snap back but she shook her head; there were more important matters to attend to now. "What are you staring at?! Move!" she snapped at the two guards who immediately popped back into action, approaching Edwin swiftly and binding his arms behind his back using a spell.

"Please you must listen; you're making a mistake", said Edwin. To this, Prudence actually paid attention. She approached the bound soldier and looked him cold in the eyes before speaking.

"and what makes you think that I make mistakes?" she spat.

Edwin fumbled for an answer, and it was in that moment that things took a very bad turn for him. Out of nowhere, a familiar small creature ripped from under the back of his shirt. In seconds the thing had zipped away out of sight. It was none other than Augusto, who'd been sleeping in Edwin's clothes. Edwin let out a small yell, surprised by it. At the same time prudence let out a squeal in her surprise and the baby started to cry. As Prudence took in what happened she became red in her anger. She was furious now, believing the bat to be some type of spy.

"This isn't what it looks like!" Edwin pleaded.

"Lies! Lies! Bring him to the manor; my husband will deal with you!"

The guards began dragging Edwin through the market and towards the manor. Prudence followed behind them, calling back to Falamar and Klaus as she did. "This shopping trip is over. We now have access to all the provisions we could need." She marched on after them, and Edwin followed solemnly without complaint. He was scared shitless about what was to come.

Meanwhile, Augusto was still attempting to process what he had just learned. That all of Yuanaki was under rebel control.

I have to find them,
he thought. He was flying as fast as he could to where he believed the rest of the group could be.

Now the woman's ego is even more inflated than it was before Falamar thought to himself, each passing moment making him regret coming to these madmen more and more. Upon Prudence's call, he would jog over to her, easily catching up to the short queen "My queen, may I inquire as to what the man did that was so illegal? If it's the fact that he was looking at your son, well, perhaps it was simply in awe of his future king? And more than likely, the bat was just. . . well, a bat. I've known plenty of men with odd pets. Once knew a man who owned a toothless imp. Of course, it DID kill him in the end, but that's besides the point. My point being, what actual law did he break?" Falamar knew this was probably a bad idea, but he didn't like the idea of a man being imprisoned, let alone killed, for nothing more than giving a woman an odd look. It's one of the reasons the Lanun had left Yunakai in the first place.

But, these were not the most pressing thoughts upon him. In the back of his head, his mind would be rolling over and examining everything about the situation of Yunakai whole. King Oromis has submitted to the rule of the South Yunakai. The man who said he would crush the rebels like ants in his palm? I do not think so. The man was reckless and aggressive almost tot the point of insanity, but bowing before his enemies? That was nothing like the caged tiger of a man I saw enter the palace. I sense some sort of foul play afoot in this game, and here I am, a sheep surrounded by lions. I fear for Amergin and The Black Wind. I pray Danalin let's me reach the sea before I die.

At the docks, the five crew members would file back on-board the Black Wind, with Amergin watching as they did. As the last would climb aboard, the old first mate would grab her shoulder. "Panlupen, where's the captain?" He asked. The young woman would look to him, eyes shining like sapphires. "With a snake dressed as a fox, a madwoman, and a scarred foreign doctor. And now those three rule one of the most powerful nations in the world," She stated tersely. At this, Amergin would let go her shoulder, and would scramble into the captain's quarters, hoping and praying that what he was looking for was still there.

The slightly soiled man would lean heavily on the assassin, even though he was trying his hardest to stand. "I thank you, my good sir. I would have surely been sacrificed to that bandits dark god if it weren't for you," He would say. As the man spoke, Yoren would make his way over. "Who are you, exactly?" The Yoren would ask. "Well, my name is Caius Pelelius, and I'm the mayor of Wyrm's Head. Well, what's left of it anyhow. Still, without you, I'm sure everybody would have died. So, I thank you two, and all your friends, for what done here. It will not soon be forgotten, by myself, or anyone who yet still lives in the town."

And like that, Edward would be upon Ferris like a gale wind, slashing and parrying with near impossible skill for a blind man, trying his best to whittle down her defenses.

Nearby, the leader of the radiant guard would lift his blade. "To the Muire Gate!" he commanded, his golden golems moving towards the entrance of Traghad, which had been sculpted and named for the first wife of Kylorin, who had been slain by dragons before magic had been given to the world.

Klaus didn't get up from where he sat. He happened to be near the same fruit stand where he saw the bananas. A single silver coin spent, and it was his. All the while he listened to Edwin, Prudence and Falamar. When Prudence questioned Edwin on herself making mistakes, he raised his hand.

"You and Yaro are friends with me, that's one." It was all he said out loud, but there was also Prudence trusting Heinrich Klaus as her doctor, and the man who would deliver her baby, and then bring her back from the dead. He could only muse at the irony. While not a mistake, he caught Prudence doing that physical tic of hers: hands on hips. He giggled, mimicking it. It felt so sassy to do it.

. . .
Aizen kept his mouth shut as the noble freed. He had no business talking to the wealthy. He remained where he was, his eyes adjusting to the dark.
