-_- If someone has time to be a player, they have time to DM. There are plenty of reasons to want to be a player and not a DM but I can't see time being one of them
I mean, I can't be creating dungeons and environments and be giving scenarios to a bunch of players and managing this and that.
I can react to stimulus and make basic decisions fairly easily, fairly quickly, however. :3

Meh, that's not really worth playing it for, now is it? I mean if you're not even gonna be committed to the game...

I don't recall saying I won't be committed to the game, just that I can't be the DM.

committed
kəˈmɪtɪd/
adjective

  1. 1.
pledged or bound to a certain course or policy; dedicated.
    "a committed environmentalist"
  2. 2.
in or denoting a long-term emotional relationship.
    "a committed relationship"

Thanks to everyone who pitched in with their opinion/advice, helps a lot!
Now, I think I've come close to getting my OC properly balanced, again open to what you think I could change to make it better :]
On another note, I still need to finish my floor, but I don't think that should take long so I'll probably jump in soon too (assuming I don't need anymore balancing)

It's set up like a theater, except the puppets drop from the ceiling and attack instead of being on the stage.
I don't think I do, but just in case, my floor has:
*A city covered in mine-field like summons with a key hidden in it. The main NPC of that area pretends to be a vendor unless attacked. She sells a "potion" that turns out to be poison.
*A knight who uses her attack to try to push the enemy into the auto-death zone
*A wizard that summons a periodically duplicating dragon
*A traitorous NPC who aids invaders but will turn against them in the final battle if certain conditions are met
*Loop herself has a bunch of mechanics including resurrecting the enemy
*The floor has a maximum timer that if the invaders can't clear the floor in time they are kicked out of the dungeon altogether.

Fighting Marx is a long battle for most as well. Imagine if he went down there to fight too, attackers would almost certainly be kicked out due to the time limit lmao.

Oh almost forgot: You can't leave the room unless kicked or if you find all four pieces of the exit

I'm pretty sure it starts right after we get randomly transported to the new world. Also pretty sure that the game was still going strong when we were transported.

Mekuto Mekuto Btw, does the roleplay start right before the game ends like in the anime?
I was actually wondering the same thing

I asked this a while ago to Mekuto, and he said that the game had not fully decayed when out guild got transported, although it would be slowly dying at this point since the expansion/patch adding automatons and guns was the last update before the game shut down.

Say two years before the shut down, in which we had heard rumors that the game was going to start moving to a shut down. Also been busy but I'll get a post in the IC out soon.

I was just about to mention the IC. The main reason I haven't posted is because I'm not sure where you want us to start. Having a conference with the other members? On a floor with a floor guardian? I imagine we'd all be within the tomb at least, but it'd be great to hear some direction. : )

Anywhere within the tomb, the post I have planned out, a morning routine and then plans to grow a crop on the 7th floor, so just start out within the tomb say 3 days after coming to the New world.

How much would floor and area guardians know - just about the change of terrain, or would they know bits and pieces about almost the entire picture like in Overlord? Also, would they have been summoned to a meeting like in the anime/light novel?

And what was our initial reaction to learning we were trapped in a new world? What's plan?
Also, who's the guild leader?
