It has been around 5,500 days since the nationwide outbreak of Reanimatory Necrosis.

You are Danielle Thorreson and you are the leader of a post-outbreak gang in the province of Sething, which had been part of what was once the Central Republic.

The chaos of the initial outbreak has since become hazy to you, as it all occurred many years ago. Martial law was declared, and evacuation points were set up. However, due to an attempted invasion of the Central Republic's northeastern border by an opportunistic Kazacia, the military's resources were split between two fronts. All the evac zones in Sething had ceased operations after a few weeks, and the remaining cops and Civil Guards subsequently became overrun by the infected. The power grid has since shut down, and the rest of the world went dark once the military set up equipment to jam communications. From what you've heard, the war with Kazacia ended without a winner, as both nations' militaries were ultimately overrun by the undead after being weakened by extreme supply shortages, lack of morale, and extended combat.

Nearly all of the infected, which were initially ravenous, fast-moving monstrosities, have since degenerated into undead "ghouls". They have essentially become slower and dumber than before. However, they are highly resistant to punishment, as only a shot to the brain will put them down for good.

The compound is surrounded by a chainlink fence, albeit one without any barbed wire. It's enough to keep the ghouls at bay, but fresh zombies have been able to climb over it on several occasions. Still, they're not very common. There are gates located on the north, east, south, and western ends of the compound. The only building with power is the gang's planning hall and meeting room, which also serves as the high ranks' quarters. The generator doesn't consume much fuel overall.

You do not have any agriciulture, nor do very many of your survivors know how to(or want to) to garden. The area surrounding the compound has not seen much activity from infected or independent survivors in some time. The available loot in this area is becoming exhausted, and the scavenging parties come back with decreasing amounts of supplies. They may have to travel further soon.

Your compound is home to 59 survivors. Each small building, excluding the storehouse,(comfortably) provides enough space for 5 people each, and the leadership hall can house an additional 5. Around 2 people can live comfortably in each tents, making for a total of 24. Around 49 people can live comfortably in the compound, with a few of the houses and tents being overcrowded. This is a cause for disgruntlement among a few of your people.

Cherry rolled out of bed at the break of dawn with a smile on her face. Maybe it was the thought of going on another run today, or perhaps that she knew a good time was waiting for her at the end, though most likely it was memories of the night before. She waltzed to her trunk to get dressed in her trademark look- cutoff jean shorts, combat boots, a white tee, and a killer leather jacket- before grabbing her shotgun and revolver from the nightstand.

Every morning began the same for her. She'd stretch in the yard before jogging the perimeter to get in her cardio and check for discrepancies. At the end, she'd do a few push-ups, sit-ups, and squats in front of the planning hall before going inside to meet with her advisor, quartermaster, mechanic, doctor, and ringleaders. Together, they'd plan the day based on their needs for the next and the intelligence from the last.

"Good morning! How are ya?" Cherry beamed as she opened the door. She was usually pretty upbeat, but today it was almost an exception. "I want to do something big today. Sage, how are my marauders? Fixit, how fit are the vehicles? And Buzz, what is the fuel and food situation?"

She listened for their reports before drumming her pink fingernails on the table and looking around.
"I'd like each Ringleader to pick their best scout and have them report to me by 1000 hrs."She then pointed to the map.

"All four shall be given motorcycles and enough fuel to make the trip. Two should travel up to Camden together and then cut over to Virgilwood and back. The other two should travel straight to the outskirts of Leston and back. Have them avoid the infected and anyone who seems dangerous. I want them to map any hazards, any groups they come across, and most importantly any big prizes of fuel, food, weapons, and ammunition. Tell them to keep an eye out for better places to house a group or for large trucks we could use to bring in heavier hauls. Have them scope out any people that might be a good hit, but most importantly tell them to stay safe and make it back. A dead scout is a waste of a scout. I want them writing down everything they see along the way."

"Red and Wiz, I want you and your marauders with me. We're gonna take the remaining motorcycles, the trucks, and as many sedans as we need to make a sweeping raid on Garter, Halboro, and then the Penrose Asylum."

"The rest of you are on defending the post. Keep frosty for scouts in the trees. Marty and Fixit, start taking down trees outside the compound and putting men to work building more houses. Make them sturdy, but easy to take apart if this place becomes untenable."

"Unless there's any questions," Cherry laughed, swinging her shotgun so that the stock rested on her hip with a devilish smirk. "Let's get ready to move out!"

Your lieutenants are sitting around the large table, and greet you as you enter.

"Things are fine at the moment, I'spose," Sage tells you. "A lot of them could use some action instead of being cooped up in the compound, so it'll be good for us to get out and start doin' things today."
Fixit looks up from trying to wipe a stain off his shirt and gives a thumbs up. "Vehicles are all checked up and good to go, boss. Shouldn't experience any problems this time."

Buzz scratches his stubble before leaning forward. "We have a little over a week's worth of food, assuming we keep givin' full rations to everybody. We ought to build up some better reserves of food and fuel," he tells you.

After some deliberation, the ringleaders later inform you that they plan to send Frick, Lance, Juno, and Sneer on the scouting assignments. It is estimated that Juno and Sneer's trip up around Camden and Virgilwood will take around three days to complete, as the highways are frequently blocked. They will consume about five units of fuel during their trip. Frick and Lance's trip up to the outskirts of Leston and back will take around two days, and just two or three units of fuel.

Red raises her hand and asks a question about the supply run you plan to take her and Wiz's crews on. "It might be better to take it slow, and do them places one at a time, boss," she says. "Or just split up the crews. Probably won't have enough time to do a decent search on all of those places in one day."
