hi thanks for clicking
i’m an eighteen y/o lesbian (she/her). i love dragons, mermaids, witches and all things fantasy. i’m from the uk
i can roleplay here or on discord. i’d be willing to try google docs too which i’ve seen mentioned. if there’s another place you prefer just let me know and i may have it
i hate using the word rules but it’s the best description i have. here are my preferences that i’m very unlikely to waiver on.
AGE MINIMUM | i am eighteen. for my own comfort and ease of mind, i only roleplay with people my age or older.
TENSE | i roleplay solely in the third person point of view. unfortunately, i’m quite set on this. i also tend to favour the present tense but i am not so strict with that.
OUT OF CHARACTER | i love to chat and become friends with my partners out of character. i don’t like to take myself very seriously and would appreciate someone with a similar humour. we are writing a story together and that is a beautiful thing but at the same time i think it is still important to keep it fun and casual. mostly, i just want to write and then make fun of our silly little characters
TRIGGERS | similar to above, i want this to be a safe space. if you have triggers, please let me know beforehand to avoid them. personally i have no triggers to be wary of, so all topics are on the table for discussion. i only ask for a courtesy warning before broaching anything particularly dark until we get to know each other better. as per site rules, no hanky panky.
the good stuff that’ll (hopefully) help you determine if we’re compatible.
LITERACY | i write like a complete fool in recruitment posts and out of character chats but i promise that i do have a better grasp on literacy than i display. on average, my replies are around four hundred to seven hundred words—this usually evens out to four to five chunky paragraphs. it does vary wildly though and largely depends on the pacing of the current scene and my inspiration when writing.
FREQUENCY | i will admit, i can be a bit bad for replying to roleplays. i aim to reply within twenty-four hours of my partner’s last post but time often gets away from me. i am not picky about how often my partner replies to the roleplay as long as they keep regular contact outside of it.
GENRES | all genres and world settings are open. my go-tos tend to be fantasy (medieval and modern) but i think that’s sort of a cop-out answer as it’s such a broad genre. to tell the truth, i’m down for almost anything.
ROMANCE | this is likely going to be a dealbreaker for some. i am most interested in gay romance roleplays. my preference between f x f and m x m will depend largely on the plot and which fits better. i am not completely saying no to m x f and i’m sure there will be a few exceptions.
CHARACTERS | i like to create my ocs to fit each plot. i tend not to write up an entire massive character sheet right from the beginning unless it’s asked of me. i personally have more fun letting the characters grow and develop their history over the roleplay. i put a lot of love and effort into creating my characters and i’d hope a similar passion from my partner. similarly, i’ve no major preference on faceclaims. i only ask to avoid anime-style faceclaims (other art faceclaims are good though—and outright encouraged, i love seeing cool art).
disappointingly empty. i haven’t really had the time to properly add loads of my ideas yet.
CURRENTLY CRAVING | i don’t really have a plot but i do have a character idea i’d love to explore and roleplay.
medieval setting, some fantasy but not a huge amount. not a hundred percent decided on name but “hawk” has stuck in my head so that’s what i’ll called him here. he’s still brand new so far from fully developed but here’s what i have so far!
he’s the third son of a very powerful monster hunter who, in life, was the leader of a monster hunting guild/group/etc. i was thinking more along the lines of dragons/ other huge beasts than vampires/werewolves for the monsters in question but i’m not opposed to either, i love all of them and my main focus is on the character.
he had three siblings (two older, one younger). his oldest brother was killed by his father in a guild-related “you’re not strong enough” kind of deal—in my head, there is something like a test to become an official member of the guild which the brother failed so, instead of facing embarrassment, his father killed him and said he died during the test. his second oldest brother then challenged his father for leadership of the guild and won, which killed his father. later, his second brother would do the same thing to his youngest brother.
unsurprisingly, hawk is not the biggest fans of the guild and, though he’s officially a member, distanced himself. he pursued a career as a footsoldier for the king (with the low-key belief that fighting is all he is/will ever be good at) and manages to climb the ranks to knight which is where we stand now.
my biggest problem is that i just don’t have a lot of ideas for how to use him. definitely mxm, would definitely love a human x creature sort of deal. maybe a dramatic encounter where he injures a monster but can’t bring himself to kill them? idk!! i need ideas haha
LOOSE IDEAS | not quite full plots but close
•something with a how to train your dragon vibe—i do actually have quite a few ideas for this, i’m just too lazy to write it into a full plot yet, ha. i’m thinking medieval setting, mid-fantasy, a high-standing person shoots down a dragon but cannot bring themselves to go through with killing it. maybe stays and helps to heal it/other shenanigans happen. eventually, it would be revealed that the dragon can turn into a human. it would be a lot of overcoming language barriers, learning from mistakes, a healthy dash of enemies to lovers (plus, it would start with one of the characters being gravely wounded which is always a big bonus in my books).
•i’m fond of the concept of merpeople and would love to explore that in a modern ‘research’ sort of setting, in which the merperson interacts with a researcher/outsider etc and they come to understand neither are as unintelligent as the other thought. happy with either role and any pairing (preferably not m x f)
FANDOMS | i will say straight up that i am quite picky about fandom roleplays. i am only interested in oc x oc and, for most, i prefer to create our own world that is heavily inspired by the fandom.
| house of the dragon — i would love to create our own remake of this with our own characters and separate lore. i do not feel like i know enough of r.r. martin’s works to confidently roleplay in the universe. obviously, this means only oc x oc (though i don’t mind characters that are based off of pre-existing characters).
| red dead redemption —my beloved. favourite game of all time. i am pretty much always down for a roleplay. oc x oc preferred.
TROPE BUCKET | enemies to friends to lovers, found family, slow burn (x10000), literally anything that's like 'human x non-human', angst with fluff, grumpy characters dragged into caring for someone, language barriers, injuries (so many injuries), whump (so much whump)
