Arabella Luella Cox. The newest hero on the block, and probably the worst.
Known as her alias 'Cupid,' Arabella has just entered the scene in New Washington as the hero they need. That would be, of course, if she wasn't such a nice person. Despite her power having the ability to be devastating to those around her, she hardly seems to have control over it. Or she's just picking to not use it, which is possibly worse. Instead, Arabella insists that things can be talked out without violence!
Then that never works, and she ends up stopping the villain in self defense. Still, she does stop them. Since she graduated from the Elites program, she was relocated to New Washington to deal with their super-villain. Of course, her solution to solving the issue exactly the best plan around...
Especially when there are bigger fish to fry. [/div]
[div class=tabcontent2 style=display:none] Full Name - Arabella Luella Cox
Age - 21
Appearance - Arabella is a young woman of normal stature, standing around 5’7. Known for her pale skin and dark lips, Arabella is certainly a looker. At the insistence of others, she kept her peach colored hair long, letting it reach the back of her thighs. However, she would rather keep it braided and tied up than let it fly around during combat. With such pale skin, the smallest bit of blush always appears on her cheeks, giving her flushed looked. Matched with heavy lidded eyes and thick lips, Arabella appears much older than she is.
Power - Arabella has the power to slow or accelerate the heartbeat of others. While it’s easier to accelerate the rate, slowing it seems to be much more effective. To use her power, Arabella must have a clear path of sight to her target. There’s an understanding that she could possibly stop the heart of someone if she wished too, but it has never been witnessed or attempted. Slowing the heartbeat down rapidly will cause the target to faint, while a gradual slowdown will induce fatigue.
Personality - There’s nothing else to describe Arabella besides soft-spoken and shy. The girl always keeps her eyes down, and mutters her words. Because of her avoidance of eye-contact and interaction in general, she comes off as stuck up and pretentious. Fortunately, she’s quite the opposite once you get past the shyness. Kind and loving, it’s easy to find a friend with Arabella. Once she takes up the 'Cupid' mantle, however, things are a different story. Suddenly confident in herself, she soars through challenges with flying colors. Maybe the mask helps a bit.[/div]

With such a silly name like Arabella Luella Cox, one would expect the girl to be silly and outgoing throughout her childhood. Unfortunately, Arabella didn’t catch the memo about being silly. Arabella grew up in her fear of shadows, and more specifically, her brothers. With a power to control his own shadow as a physical entity, he enjoyed terrorizing young Arabella.
It didn’t take long for the young girl to develop a paralyzing fear of the dark, and what lurks in it. Having grown up during the age of anarchy, it only made the fear thrive more. Trying to survive was hard enough, and it became all the more challenging when her brother joined one of the villainous gangs. Despite the protection they promised to the family, it never arrived. When another gang raided their small den, Arabella was left alone to hide in what she feared the most in life. Everything was ripped from her, and she truly never recovered.
After wandering the streets for years, digging through the trash for some kind of food, Arabella was starting to look more like a stick rather than a girl. On a particularly cold and hungry night, she made the idiotic attempt at breaking into a gang house for food. She had barely opened the small cabinet when shouting began, and true fear set in. She attempted to hide, but it was no use. The gang members pulled the girl up by her arm and held her there, cooing at the twig. Her attempt at fighting back was weak and pathetic, only managing to put one man out cold before the others were on her. The fear she felt at that moment, the darkness closing in around her, was like nothing she ever felt before. Arabella had accepted her fate, accepted she was to be crushed by the shadows above her.
And then the screaming started, and light flooded her eyes.
The gang members were set running around the house, their clothes burning away and their eyebrows gone in the flames. A young woman was standing above Arabella, wings spread open and hand outstretched. Calling her savior an ‘angel,’ Arabella didn’t even realize at the time she was rescued by none other than Poppy Newman, an Elite. With her fiery wings, the shadows were burned away, and Arabella finally saw the light within Poppy. She wanted that light, that burning feeling.
Arabella then spent her days growing up in the city ward, the reign of anarchy over. She was counting the days, counting till she could become one of them. She was going to be an Elite, and she was going to burn brighter than all of them. [/div]

Tecton is easily the most terrifying and threatening villain this city has seen... If you live in a fairy tale world. Callum tries his best to wreak as much havoc as possible, but is more often stopped by himself than any heros that may happen to stumble across his shenanigans.
With his aversion to actually harming people, Callum tends to be more of a neighborhood nuisance than a direct danger. He feels that he owes allegiance to no one but himself. People fearing him isn’t an actual goal that he seems to have, rather wanting to climb to power through the art of tricking people or causing enough chaos on his own.
Of course, he’ll have to stop getting in his own way if he hopes to have any chance at infamy. [/div]
[div class=tabcontent2 style=display:none] Name - Callum Dorsey 'Tecton'
Age - 22
Appearance - Standing at just over 6 feet and having a decent bulk of muscle, Callum is a pretty solid young man. He has fair skin but dark hair and prominent bone structure that makes him look a bit cruel when he scowls (which just so happens to be his default). Countless scars create intricate patterns along his body but typically are covered by his clothing. His deep blue eyes seem to almost glow when the light hits them correctly and his ~smirk~ smile is always crooked and favors his left side. His suit is very simple. A tight fitting dark green and brown fashioned from a damage resistant material. The look is finished with dark brown leather gauntlets.
Powers - Callum has the power of Earth Manipulation. His powers at this point in time are still fairly weak and as of now he is unable to actually create earth. He is only able to manipulate what is already there. Typically he uses this power to cause rifts in the ground or small earth quakes. When in combat he can also use earth to form projectiles and destroy buildings. These abilities do require a lot of concentration and energy and more often than not he falls through on what he's actually attempting to do.
Personality - Callum is a fairly impulsive person, generally acting because of his emotions rather than in a planned out manner. In addition to this he also isn't one to trust others. He only relies on himself for information and perhaps a bit too much. He tends to hold the opinion that he is always right, often leading to him getting himself into a lot of trouble that could have been very easily avoided. Despite this, he is pretty quick on his feet and often squirrels himself out of danger just in the nick of time.
Though his allegiance to villainy seems to say otherwise, Callum isn't truly an evil person. While he revels in anarchy and chaos, he would never want to kill someone. Due to his upbringing he doesn't trust people in power to protect him, nor does he trust The Elite to actually be all that they say they are. Instead he prefers to lurk in the "underworld" plotting his next schemes to make himself a noticed villain.[/div]

Life on the streets was pretty much the life that Callum had been exposed to. His father abandoned his mother before he was even born, leaving her to fend for herself. She tried her best to give her son what he needed to be happy but she found it wasn't enough. Callum never seemed to be satisfied with anything that she did for him. He felt that he deserved more than the life he'd been handed, and he was set on getting it. The city was in total chaos for many of his years growing up, and when he turned 14 he decided he'd be better off on his own anyways.
The subways became Callum's home and it was about the same time when his powers started to develop. Though surrounded by bigger and badder villains, he felt comfortable there. His days became filled with causing trouble with a ragtag group of kids similar to himself. Kids who fell through the cracks and found themselves on the opposite side of moral right and wrong. Eventually, his distrust of others lead to him isolating himself. Callum developed his powers on his own, as well as coming up with a seemingly endless list of plots and schemes to secure the city for his own. Or at least... a small part of it. Of course, each of his plans failed. The older and more experienced villains took things a bit more seriously than he bothered to. [/div]
