I am making a sword meister. It fits with the character's backstory too.

I'm in no particular rush either way. This just opens me up to another character if the roster ever needs and from a narrative standpoint, it's pretty solid to see that the idea of R.I.P. can have negative consequences if you push a character that's not ready for the "rapid improvement" part of the program. I typically prefer stories where you don't just see magic success everywhere anyway; it makes it feel more realistic. No plan survives the battlefield, after all.

I actually really like Luka! Of course, I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think anyone else particularly dislikes her, either (Of course, if I'm wrong, let me know.) I'd be sad if she got written out D:

I can't think of any ways to save her right now, and of course the final decision is yours to make, but if you'd rather re-work her than completely write her out I'd be grateful

Disappointing to see Aiden go but if he does get back in at a later point, that'd be great. As a heads up, will be making my post for Cei most likely in a day's time. Not entirely sure if I will be able to tomorrow, but if I get the chance she'll be up. She'll also be ticked, but I'll save that for her reaction to everything going down in IC

The thing is that I am a big fan of continuity in rps and for me to rework Luka in a way that would allow me to enjoy playing her would drastically change who she is at the core. There wouldn't be a way for me to explain why she changes so drastically in character.

I am not writing her out in a way that will prevent her from ever coming back. She is just going to go back to EAT classes for a while.

My new character is going to be built on a few of the same themes I adopted with Luka. She will be younger (13), and she is kinda a prodigy, but unlike Luka, she is bubbly and social with a few tidbits of PTSD thrown in.

I also like Luka She just wants respect from her peers. Was on her side and thought Dai totally deserved to be scared a little~

Haha, I'm a fan of drama and I also think it'd be great character development potential for Luka and Aiden to work out their flaws - Aiden in regards to rejection + understanding and Luka in regards to socializing. Change isn't necessary as much as compromise...and development shouldn't take away the core. I think Dai learned a valuable lesson about picking on 'little kids' from this lol.

But I completely understand your decision about a character being difficult to play the way you want. I feel that way about Lucien sometimes

He's free of the kid now, so he'll have all the opportunity to flirt with Vox...once the bee things is done.

That actually is an interesting philosophical question... If a Miester kills a human with a weapon in their weapon form, does the weapon take some fault too, as like an accessory of the crime? Hmmm...

I'd say yes...though, it depends on the situation. An unwilling accomplice who can successfully prove their unwillingness at court (that they were forced into it) gets some leniency I think...

As with Aiden, it would probably prove relatively hard to kill someone with him... But I mean Aiden would be livid. Aiden might literally have a mental breakdown.

Aiden said it himself earlier in the RP. He doesn't care about becoming a Deathscythe, only protecting people. He even offered to let Rio have all the souls Luka would have collected

Amusingly, their situation somewhat mirrors when Lucien subtly insulted Dai and his aggressive response to it.



Still waiting for @CelticHero37 but if they can't get out a response within a couple days, I'll push Yuan into the Chief's office.

Alternatively, @CelticHero37 and I can work on a collab if they would rather do that instead.

Let me know, if you want to collab anything but Lucien's pretty much just going to set up a tent near whatever area they are guarding (he'll go along with whatever Vox decides but I'm voting for foxgloves *cough*), make snacks while they wait for nightfall, etc. If anyone brought any cameras they can set it up around the garden too but I'm perfectly fine if people wanna shift time forward lol.
