Hey there, welcome to the chat ^.^ How are you this fine evening?Howdy!

Preety gooooodHey there, welcome to the chat ^.^ How are you this fine evening?
Well, to be fair, if you and your city was just minding its own business and heard someone was going around conquering every city in the land, you'd probably want to make some alliances and make sure you weren't next on the chopping block, hmm?*I gotta vent about it*
That darn city has not been a good boi. It rebelled against me- joined the side of my enemy - and housed ammunitions for the enemy. It was my PERFECT choke city- and it was given to the enemy. I have shelled that place to the ground, sent heavy tanks to pummel it further, and now I'm defending the rounded-up civilians from an enemy inf assault *which is just slaughtering the enemy*.
Once this is over...I will not be a happy commander.
I've lost too many men and tanks to that fricken city- both because of the choke points that I sledged through and the civilians sabotaging me...
am sad :'(
Any decision on how I can punish the civilians- but not to the extent of an evil dictator?
The taxes.What's up?
The taxes.
Mmph, that's war for you- even when you win, you lose .Here is the enemy line that tried to take back the city...
Its just a line of dead bodies and burnt out tanks...

And here is the bird's eye view...
(In fact, you can sort've see the smoke from a shell that landed and killed some infantry.)

The town is in too much ruin to repair anything...
and after the whole battle I sort've don't want to.
The battle ended with the ratio of
1 of my riflemen killed for every
10 of theirs.
Still, they had a LOT of soldiers... so my losses were also severe.
My artillery did nothing to the city (I sort've tried to choose the main buildings to cause as little amount of civilian casualties)- but the SECOND they had their artillery up, the city was rubble...
that's fair... ._.
So...yup. Nothing to salvage. All the industry is gone so I might as well ignore repairs for this one XD.
Welcome to the thread Azalea and (belatedly) Lucem . Make yourselves comfortable: still doing some work on the lore/ setting pages, but the CS skeleton is up if you're looking to start brainstorming for your characters.
On another note, there's just a few additional points regarding character creation I wanted to touch on before people start submitting sheets and so forth;
Anyways, that's everything for updates for the time being. If you have any questions, as always feel free to contact me. Thanks for listening and hope you've had a good weekend ^.^
- For the start of the RP, I'm limiting everyone to one PC character. Depending on how things go in this first arc, I may decide to open it up so that players can make a second PC or an NPC. For the time being though, I'd like to keep things on the simpler side- quality over quantity so to speak.
- Some players have indicated an interest in creating characters with supernatural origins. This is fine by me, but know that I'll be limiting it to a 1:1 ratio (Ie. One paranormal for every one human). I'll also be looking for sheets to be a bit more in-depth for supernatural characters (For example, a description of their supernatural lineage and some history/folklore associated with it). More information on character classes can be found in the Lore sub-forum on the page 'The supernatural community'.
- Regarding character submissions, I was planning for the final 'deadline' to be set for the end of the month, with the actual RP starting to get underway in early-mid December. Does this seem like a reasonable timeline, or would you prefer extending that deadline further into December (With late November/ early December being finals time for some folks)? Let me know your thoughts on this when possible.
- Finally, I recently put up a poll on the PC submission page about including an attribute system in the character sheets. The purpose of the stat list is to use as a tool to help determine the outcome of certain in-story events. For example, one attribute might be perceptiveness, and characters who have high perception have an easier time uncovering clues. Over the course of the story, certain objectives may appear which, when fulfilled, may reward additional points to your character (Ie. Train for a marathon to gain 1+ Dexterity). However, I don't want to make it too confusing for folks, and am unsure whether it is an element which would meaningfully contribute to the overall experience. So if you could let me know what you guys think about it, that would be much appreciated.

Panzer Setting In a Hanimu T That_Irish_Person
That is indeed possible, Hanimu (Do you mind if I call you that?). Any characters involved in law enforcement would take direct orders for the County Sheriff (Who will be an NPC), and may collaborate with other characters in related fields. And you're more than welcome to start working on the sheet, though no need to rush- there's plenty of time left still ^.^Love the stat attribute! I'm actually hoping to play a human character -- a deputy -- if that's fine with you. Can start working on the app now, in fact, if you want so you can review it asap
I would need a bit more clarification about what exactly you're going for to be able to comment about it. Is it it something like clinical lycanthropy, where they have delusions about transforming/ being able to transform into a werewolf despite not in fact being one?Yo, I suddenly got the idea of making someone who is a bit off- not "supernatural" But "off" in character. Should my character have the belief that they are supernatural and proudly display this- only for it to be fake?
The majority of the human populous is unaware of their existence, and the same goes for the community of Augusta. They have representatives who advocate and advise on relating matters in state/ federal government (As well as in certain municipalities with higher populations, such as New York, Chicago, etc.), and following the Paranormal Civil Rights Act of 1972 were guaranteed most of the same civil rights as the average American citizen. This includes;Yup, Hanimu's fine. By the way, how are supernaturals generally perceived? Is there a lot of social and/or legal prejudice against them?
Things have been going pretty smoothly so far. Preparing for final exams has limited some of my free time, but I think I should have a CS finished by next week. How's your week been, Clari?Evening folks, how's it going? Having an alright week so far?
It's good, all things considered. Working on a new project which is starting to come along- slow work, but I think it's going well- just have to keep plodding on. Best of luck studying- hopefully they aren't packed too close together, so that you get some space to breathe in-between.Things have been going pretty smoothly so far. I'm definitely still interested. A lot of work came my way out of the blue, so progress has been slow on finishing my CS. The semester is coming to a close soon, so it shouldn't be much longer, but I don't want to make any promises and risk missing another deadline.Good morning folks! Hope you're all doing well, and that our American colleagues enjoyed the Thanksgiving weekend .
I just wanted to touch in with everyone to see where folks are standing, and whether this RP is something people are still interested in. I realize that it's a busy time of year for many folks with school, work, and so forth, but if you could let me know where you're at on this (Preferably over the next week or so), that would be great. If it's just a matter of bad timing with end of term/ pre-Christmas madness, that's understandable, and I'm open to delaying the start of RP until later in December.
Thanks,
Clarinetti
