- NPC creation and use is generally discouraged. Please focus on playing your own character. Characters can be mentioned or described but not individually controlled. Exceptions may apply.

Dice System: (Spooky)
Sometimes, when dealing with a sticky situation. A bit of luck might be needed for a character's heroic action to definitely succeed no matter the odds.
- Rolling will never be mandatory (Unless the character is taking an gambling action I guess)
- But can be useful for guaranteeing an dramatic action or choice!
- Default Rolls are a 3 Sided Die. An automatic Success on 1.
- Hard Rolls are a 6 Sided Die, Success Rates stay the same.
- Unique Rolls are ??? Sided Die, on relation to the GM.
- You can pick your own roll difficulty. But a normal roll success for an super cool difficult action may not have as great a outcome.
- The more difficult a roll, The more a success is worth! Going higher then a six is allowed, If not risky!
- The closer to a success roll you are, the better!
- To state that you wish to roll please state the action your character is doing in bold
- Rolls also might be asked by the GM
- Rolls are post ending (Except for the GM to progress situations)
- Remember, Not Rolling for an action is allowed. It will be left to the fated outcome. It can sometimes be the better choice!
Schisms: Tears in the material realm into some other dimension. We don't know what they come from, and what causes them to appear. But we do know that their extremely dangerous and highly volatile. Despite popular belief by some of the newbies. Schisms aren't always an obvious glowing portal into a chaotic void. To be honest, we'd prefer if they were all like that. But many are only noticeable with a keen eye. A slight glimmer of light. An absence of dust. Basically, they can be in any form. But it has been studied that anyone in a presence of a wild one all feel a slight unease, even when they aren't aware of it being there.
Wish that feeling would stop so many living things walking right through one...
The ones that Ouroboros travel through are artificially coloured so that a squad can locate it on their way back. Boy did we learn quickly from that mistake...
Transient Bubble:The thing about inventing methods of travelling through time is that you only have to wait for the person who invented it to get back to you. This is what the foundation of the Ouroboros programme is built on. Think of it as a machine that encases anything around it in a sort of anti-matter field. It's the hazmat suit we use for protection in the hazardous space through schisms. Without it, whatever we put in there is likely to never come back out.
However, It is a 'bubble' in it's other sense. The time it can last in the space between reality is fleeting. So it's not like we can just navigate freely around reality in one go. No, it must make it to the other side in a certain time. Then after that it must charge back up for at least a few hours. Trust me, you don't want to know what happens if it pops mid-flight.
Ouroboros Agent Kit:While we would love to let every agent bring full futuristic gear so that we could blast out any malicious threat on a mission to kingdom come. The unfortunate fact is that bringing too much gear from 'the far future' leads to reality destabilisation in the immediate area. Much like the very things we're trying to fish out back to their real time, reality has an allergy to things that don't belong. We're not sure why that is, but it means that the gear we can bring from HQ is carefully picked. A scanner or two, emergency beacon, bubble key, couple of communicators, uniform. Obviously you all get to keep the translation matrix that you were given at initiation, otherwise how would you communicate with each other. Not to mention the local denizens (if we have to).
Interestingly, objects and materials are a lot more tolerable to the time sphere if it is in the vicinity of someone from that time period as well. This had lead to the allowance of some...unorthodox tools for specific agents to bring.

Yeah don't ask me, I didn't pick the name.
It's technically a giant ship stuck in a lifeless schism. There's nothing around it so there's no way to tell location. We think in time it might be the beginning of the universe, or the end of the universe. Again, no way to really tell. We're not really sure how it got there either. Or who flew it there. It was given to us near the founding of the Ouroboros. But perhaps we are yet to find it, or build it. Whatever the case, it's clear it was given to us when we needed it most.
Yes, this is your squad. Sure you've gone on max a mission or two. Or for most of you, none at all. Yes it's true you've had less then a week to get climatized to the Ouroboros programme. And anything to do with knowledge outside your own time period. But this sort of crisis we're dealing with doesn't allow for long training exercises. So, with a guiding hand. We're sending you and a bunch of other newbies out as a squad already. Don't worry, we'll start you on minor incursions (we hope) to get some knowledge on how this whole thing usually works.
