INTRODUCTION

Greetings! 'Tis I, neon reverie [but you can also call me Anni] who is crawling from the jaws of capitalism once more because as Carly Rae Jepsen once so aptly has sung: i'm coming back for you baby! i'm coming back for you !! (˶˘ ³˘(⋆❛ ہ ❛⋆)!♡ yeah, you guessed it right. this is me reopening my interest check to get that special dopamine only accessible when I actually write with people ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )

【 ᗢ 】i would describe my style as more flowery and ig in some ways... maybe... purple-prosy? thing is, I love writing metaphors! currently also really digging writing in present tense as opposed to past tense, and always in third person. consider myself somewhat advanced/lazy lit in terms of posting lengths; can write posts from 200 - 1000+ words but have found that longer posts definitely take a longer time for me to write. so my sweet spot in writing more frequent posts are those more on the shorter side [300-400 words].

【 ᗢ 】 relaxed, no pressure to post environment is where I thrive, meaning I don't mind waiting at all for any post (❁´◡`❁) I am working full time and the adult life is adulting so my activity tends to fluctuate quite a lot (╥﹏╥). therefore, i'm not the person you should contact to role-play with if you wish a daily or certified weekly post, though I try to do my best for the latter!

【 ᗢ 】I AM GHOST-FRIENDLY !!! now you might think; but neon, aren't you absolutely terrified of ghosts ??? and i'd say: ha ha ha i don't know what you are talking about . . but yes -- this woman is ghost friendly, meaning you are free to ghost me if you wish ! do i prefer to have you tell me if you are no longer interested? of course ! but i understand that people might have anxieties that make it very difficult to do that. aside from that, do absolutely feel free to return to roleplay whenever u want ! chances are, you can knock on my imaginary run door in thirty years and be like: can we continue or start a new rp? and my middle-aged ass would say: oh jolly, of course!

【 ᗢ 】i enjoy writing women the most, so I am looking for role-plays where I can write a femme role. any pairings are fine; mxf, fxf, fxnb (∗˃̶ ᵕ ˂̶∗). also, this does not mean I won't play any other gender when it comes to the ensemble; I rly love creating diverse set of side characters to write in support of our main pair and definitely encourage you to do the same !!

【 ᗢ 】romance, angst and world-building is where i go wild, feral even. I love falling to my knees, clutching my heart, sobbing on the floor, screaming at the sky because our characters are going THRU it (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ). with romance, it's the slow-burn for me. give me gradual catching of feelings, the oh no realisation, the DENIAL-- the flavours will be melting on my tongue!

【 ᗢ 】I prefer fantasy/historical settings over modern slice of life settings because I feel like there are more juicy plot options for those, but will gladly do modern if the plot is delicioso. some of my favourite tropes are: reincarnation, soulmates, enemies to lovers, black cat x golden retriever, grumpy x sunshine, friends to enemies to lovers, exes, found family and more!!

EVE and TWILIGHT have been close friends since they were children. But as time passed, life took them on separate paths. EVE, harboring secret feelings for TWILIGHT, watched in silence as their best friend prepared to chase their dreams in a distant land. With a heart heavy with unspoken words, they mustered the courage to confess their love, only to face rejection from TWILIGHT, who didn't feel the same or was simply afraid that love could ruin things between them. TWILIGHT leaves, and EVE does not follow; the earlier promises to write suddenly feels more hollow.

Years drift by like leaves on the wind, their correspondence fast dwindling until it ceases altogether. It is fate that brings their paths together once more, older and wiser and different. As they rediscover the comfort of each other's company, new or perhaps buried feelings resurface, and TWILIGHT begins to see EVE in a new light. But just as fate intertwines their lives once more, it also intervenes. TWILIGHT gets introduced to someone new in EVE's life, their fiancé to be exact. Someone who also happens to be TWILIGHT's rival.

— this plot is rly barebones I'm sorry I literally just wanted to write the A fell too early, B fell too late trope bcs it's holding me by the jugular. we can add and even remove stuff if we want. I do imagine this taking place in an older era, maybe the 1920s or 1930s?? but this is also still up for discussion lmao we could literally make anything up and have it be in some steampunk world or some other mix between modern and old (⸝⸝⸝╸w╺⸝⸝⸝)

The heart of the sea was stolen, grasped by filthy hands of the greedy, and now the kingdom of Marinthia is dying. Reef walls are crumbling, slowly but surely, as tides crawl back further and further into nothingness. Desperation and anger grips the merfolk as they begin to struggle to survive within their own depths; one can only live so long on land before their heart requires the sea song again. Without a home, without a sea, it is only a matter of time before they cease to be.

That's why AZURE only has one mission when they travel from sea to shore: bring back the sea's heart, no matter the cost. Finding the heart is easy, since it still sings the sea's song. Getting it back is the hard part, for it is not so easily unlocked. And to make matters even more troublesome, they are certainly not the only one after the prize.

LAPIS has always had a weak heart. The kind that would stop working sooner than later. It was why they had never left the palace walls before, the king and queen afraid that the slightest bit of the unexpected could be fatal. No amount of pleading would work, not even if they made going beyond the walls their dying wish. Denial has always been a wall they could not break through, and so the heir resigned themselves to a lonesome and trapped fate.

That is until they wake up one day, feeling different-- stronger -- and they come to realise the pain in their chest has disappeared completely. their parents claim it to be a miracle, a prayer finally answered. LAPIS is just excited to finally be healthy enough to venture further than the palace gate. Only, the guards stop them still. Their parents stay the same, the cage remains.

LAPIS runs away, only to run into AZURE.

— I left AZURE's identity very open for a reason, so either of us could fill it in how they like! maybe they are a neglected heir themselves who the royal family only sent on this mission because they could afford to be missed... or maybe they are the best warrior? the one with the most rizz (•ؔʶ̷ ˡ̲̮ ؔʶ̷)?? the possibilities are endless!

LYRIS & MUSE grew up together as friends, two people with only one dream. What started as a quick bonding over music grew rapidly into a shared passion with only one end goal: becoming a famous band. Together with their mutual high school friends, they started a band with MUSE & LYRIS as the two lead singers. They manage to book a few small gigs here and there, but it was evident that there was a talent within the band, earning them more and bigger gigs throughout the years. A manager and small staff joined the group as well and soon enough, there laid the stepping stones to a successful career.

But not everything stayed just as simple, just as good.

After a few years of steady growth, the band hit an unshakable plateau, struggling to take the next leap. Everything changed when MUSE posted a cover of a popular song that went viral, catapulting them into the spotlight. Fans began to favor MUSE’s voice, sparking intense discussions within the band about their future structure. In a surprising vote, the majority decided to elevate MUSE to the role of sole lead singer, leaving LYRIS feeling betrayed and sidelined. Jealousy or maybe it was just bitterness began to fester until it resulted into a huge fight and LYRIS leaving the band.

Years later, the band receives a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: to compete in a high-stakes reality show where the winner secures a record deal and a world tour with a major act. But fate has a cruel twist in store—one of their fiercest rivals is none other than LYRIS, now leading a new band that has gained rapid popularity.

As the competition unfolds, LYRIS and MUSE find themselves thrust into the limelight once more, their past tensions reigniting under the watchful eyes of cameras and fans. With the media eager to exploit their history, the two must navigate the treacherous waters of rivalry, unresolved emotions, and the pressure of show business.

ELOWEN has grown up in a small town nestled between mountains and forests, where miles upon miles of nature stretch before it reaches the next town. They have grown up on the folklore of old, speaking of myths that drag through the woods and the dark, has become accustomed to the gossip tales of new, because everyone knows everyone. They stayed there until they received a scholarship for college in the big city and so they left.

After four years, they finally plan a trip back home. Only, when they arrive back at town, they encounter something truly strange and horrifying. They arrive at a ghost town, of empty streets and emptier houses. It looks like no one has lived here for ages.... except that could not be, could it? They were only gone for four years. It was as if a hidden plague has taken everything.... As if the hometown as they knew it has never existed at all.

for answers, ELOWEN discovers a cryptic piece of paper filled with frantic scribblings, along with an old pocket watch that ticks strangely despite its age. When ELOWEN activates the watch, they find themselves transported back in time—not to their own past, but to a much earlier era of the same town, one steeped in shadows and mystery.

In this earlier version of their hometown, ELOWEN encounters SAGE, a determined detective investigating a string of bizarre disappearances that have left the community in turmoil. Together, they delve into the dark underbelly of the town, uncovering secrets long buried beneath the folklore. As they navigate eerie woods and forgotten places, they begin to realise that the town myths may not be mere stories after all...

The newest season begins and thus the newest debutantes grace the first social event of the season, all demure and dainty, sweetened like honey to attract a marriage of status. GARNET is no such lady, having already gone through the prodding and the preening, the play of the game. She is currently a viscountess, a fresh widow at that. But that does not halt her from assisting her own younger sister with her debut, with her father away most of the time and her mother ill, she has taken on the responsibility to ensure that her sister finds the perfect match. Pretty and sweet as she is, GARNET's sister had been title the diamond of the season, gaining the attention of many possible suitors, including that of IOLITE.

What may be true or not of his reputation doesn't matter; from the start, GARNET had already written him off. IOLITE could not be her sister's match, certainly didn't deserve to be. She didn't trust him, found more to dislike than to like about his character, and she doesn't hide to show that he stands in last place in the battle for her sister's hand. And yet, he manages to weasel himself into their lives, charming her sister with his wretched ways, was infuriating. Still, GARNET remains determined to get rid off him. He won't marry her sister, ever.

HERO'S GAMBIT

TEMPUS is a superhero who has lost it all, having failed to save their world from its doom. Their superhero team is dead, everything lays in ruins— nothing left to salvage. It is only by chance that they discover the existence of the multiverse and it is desperation and grief that pushed them to steal a teleport to jump to a universe where all is right. Except that TEMPUS soon finds out that nothing stays that way. Every universe variant they encounter always ends in tragedy, the cause of doom only changing. It almost seems that every universe that they are a part of is destined to die, destroyed by a catalyst either TEMPUS couldn't figure out before it was too late or wasn't able to defeat.

It leaves them with only one single universe left.

The last one.

TEMPUS jumps again, this time determined to save it at any cost.

But they soon discover that the cost is heavy when they encounter their closest superhero partner VOX.

In this universe, VOX is not the superhero they have known and worked with in every other universe before this. A horrid realisation befalls them upon discovering that VOX has become a villain. One that screams catalyst. TEMPUS, knowing that they can't just kill VOX, is left with only one other option: try and turn them good again. But that's easier said and done, especially when VOX seems utterly fixated on destroying them first. Whatever the other TEMPUS has done within this universe, it is clear that it has turned VOX completely against them. Are they able to turn things around before it's too late? Or will TEMPUS have to kill VOX in order to save their last universe?

— I recently watched the new dead pool movie and it got me craving an interesting multi-verse/ superhero role-play (๑‾̀◡‾́)✧
— rattling the cage of my enclosure to develop TEMPUS and VOX. what has made VOX turn to the dark side aside from the promised cookies?? how well, or badly, is TEMPUS coping rn with having lost their universe time and time again?? what is different about this universe??

the saintess wants to die??

ATHAME is a criminal awaiting their execution after being caught stealing from the holy temple when they get a unique opportunity to stay alive and be pardoned from all their crimes. Their task? Save the saintess who has been captured and return her safely and well. Not wanting to die yet, ATHAME agrees and goes on their rescue mission. Everything goes pretty smoothly, though they didn't expect the Saintess to look so disappointed by the rescue....?

EULOGIA is no one other than a modern woman who has suddenly has found herself isekaied into another world, and into the body of the Saintess nonetheless. Being not even close to a Saintess in her world, this new austere way of living has been more torturous than anything else. Believing that dying might bring her back to her world, EULOGIA had purposely gotten herself captured and was happily awaiting for them to finish the job. If only someone didn't suddenly appear and ruined those plans....
