“Why?”
That is the first question anyone ever asks. Of course, not vocally, but mentally. Perhaps even compelled instinctually. From birth we ponder and pry, our tiny hands outstretched to feel all the strange new sensations. Many even begin to cry from the trauma of this strange, ‘new’ world. In a way, it shows our need to find a ‘truth’; it shows our need to understand. Perhaps that is the flaw within us? The everlasting thirst to understand every little thing- even things that really need no meaning. Many of us know that already. Yet, still we yearn for it. Science is our greatest creation in the search for ‘truth’, outlining laws that everything in the universe must follow and understand. But somehow, something based on absolutes and quantifiable ‘truths’, is flawed. The laws within science always change and contradict. Every so often, there is a new theory or idea that conflicts with old ones and reshapes the structure of the scientific sphere entire. Are our methods of observation flawed? Not really. Rather, it is because our way of observation has changed. Progressed. With our advancements, many things thought impossible are possible now. For example, we are able to observe neurologic functions; we are even able to pry deep into the brain itself, mapping and keeping track of the countless changes that happen in an instant.
But even then, there are things even modern science still cannot explain.
Science is made to be understood by the majority. However, what happens to the minority? How will they observe the world? Is their own world less meaningful or any less ‘real’ than our own? Some people simply cannot observe the world in the way we do- and it is on this topic is where our story begins.
Every week, and for a whole day, a support group is held in a measly little clinic in the downtown region of the bustling city of A-st---. One that studies the failings of normalcy. It was founded to keep precise accountings of abnormality, if you will. For all intents and purposes, this can be viewed as an observation into the depth of the human mind. A glorified therapy session for those whom need it more than most. Those who come here, whether by will or by force, are given the opportunity to be in a ‘normal’ environment, even if just for a day. 'A chance to experience the precious periods of Youth.' The researcher, a certain busybody university student who conducts these social studies, hopes that by gathering these ‘special’ misunderstood minds she can form a bridge to better understand the relation between reality and observation.

Thanks for reading through the interest check! Anyway, if you have any questions, leave them down below. But before you do, please read the expectations we have for our players to see if you are the correct fit for this plot:
Sorry if I came off mean! It’s hard to type a list of expectations for someone and not come off that way, in my opinion.
P.S: The roleplayers will be playing the mentally ill characters, some of them doubled up on characters, some not, who cares? The roleplay will follow the life and some supernatural happenings (???) of these characters.
- Post every day. This is an unrealistic expectation, and I expect it to be broken due to real life obligations, but if you cannot post once per day on your normal schedule, please do not join.
- This is a detailed roleplay; everyone here is expected to put forth a good effort into each post- for me that means 2-5 paragraphs, more on intros, but that’s different for everyone. If you post less than one paragraph, use asterisks in your posts, or your posts become repetitive at this length- please avoid this roleplay, it will save us both time.
- This is a small group RP (approx. four players, including Euclid Leaf and SniperBus ). Because of this, I beg that you have discord and are willing to participate in silly banter/ooc chat.
- Communicate about what is happening in your life. We don’t need specifics and definitely don’t mean to pry into your life, but if you cannot post, please tell us. If you don’t want to be in the rp anymore, we understand, just tell us.
- If asked for a writing sample, please provide one.
- You need to be mature. This is a roleplay about mental illnesses and how they impact people’s lives- if you are immature, you are a bad fit.
- I do expect you to research the mental illness you pick if it is one that exists in the real world. Do not misrepresent a mental illness, that’s such a mean thing to do and it’s unfair to the people that suffer from it.
- Ask any questions you have, about anything! I love questions!
- Finally, attention to detail. I put a lot of effort into my posts, Euclid Leaf does to, so I just ask that you read them. I read all of yours, even all of your OOC posts if you join the roleplay, so I expect you to at least read every IC post. If I think you’re skimming posts or it’s very obvious, that will make me feel pretty bad and hurt my opinion of you tremendously. Anyway, if you read all of these expectations, sneak the italicized word in this bullet point into your response to the interest check.
