- PlotEvery three years on the night of a blood moon eclipse in the sleepy town of Blightrest, Oregon, students go missing. No one knows why or how, and the mystery has remained unsolved for decades. Eight students find the answer on the latest blood moon, but at a great cost. They are now the newest batch of cold cases. Portals appear in front of these selected souls, and through their own power or unfortunate circumstances, they find themselves falling through and into another world. They appear before a King who tells them they are the heroes who will save the world of Faerradin from the Demon King and his army. With gifted stats and special abilities it seems at first like a game, but untold horrors lay further ahead. To survive and save the world there is no telling what depths of darkness they must explore, both within themselves and their strange new environment.Roles
ROLES
Cleric — the party healer. Deals little to no damage but essential for survival. Can cast heal spells and protective buffs. [TAKEN]
Paladin — one of the two tanks in the party. Has more hp then most of the party, and much more armor. Their abilities focus on crowd control/taunting and damage as well as defensive abilities. [TAKEN]
Elemental mage — They are the parties mid range dps, and outputs the most pure damage. However they have much lower stamina and health and zero escape abilities. Their skills focus around elemental damage and more area of effect abilities than single target focus. [TAKEN]
Rouge — Outputs the second most damage in the team, but most be up close to do those. Their abilities focus on combos or one hit kills and must be carefully timed. They also have escape abilities and thief skills. However, they take the most risk and most damage if they mess up and are spotted too early. [TAKEN]
Bard — the teams main support, their skills revolve around buffs for their and debuffs and over time damage for the enemies. Their buffs can give a damage increase to others or similar offensive buffs for the party. All skills are activated by music/musical instruments. [OPEN]
Ranger — The team’s sniper, they stay further back and can deal both area of effect and single target damage but on a smaller scale than the rouge or mage. Their skills revolve around adding effects to their arrows as well as giving commands to their animal companion. [OPEN]
Warrior — the other tank in the team. Has the highest health and health regen but less armor. Focuses more on psychical abilities, doesn’t have magic other than self buffs. Similar to the rouge they can dual wield, but where the rouge has swift attacks the warrior’s are slowly and heavier dealing more damage but lands less attacks at once. Their buffs revolve around giving themselves resistances or more health. [OPEN]
Druid — the teams second support. Druids can use the surrounding environment and manipulate plants and earth to deal moderate damage as well as area of effect control, such as making terrain harder for enemies to cross over or walling something in. [OPEN]
Story * - MORE INFOEveryone in the new world has “statuses” and abilities they can activate. You need a special skill to see someone else’s screen unless they show you their status screen. Everyone in this world has 3 statuses they must keep track of that will be at the top of their status screen. This screen can be summoned at will (think SAO & Cautious Hero). The three statuses are; Health, MP, and Stamina. All characters start with 3 skills/spells for their assigned classes and 2 general abilities like horseback riding or tumbling, ect. And will gain more periodically through special events.Rules1.Fcs must be art, no gifs/screenshots from an anime. characters are aged 18-23 for students, please make sure the fc you chosse fits to the age you chose! If they're 22 they shouldn't look 15! no customs or cartoon fcs! Must fit into the thread theme
2.Must join discord, most of the plotting will be through there! Until your character sheet has been completed and approved your spot is not guaranteed. Just because you are in the discord also doesn't mean anything, discord just aids in the character creating process and getting familiar with the thread concept. If we don't feel you are a proper fit for this thread we reserve the right to reject your character sheet/turn you away from the thread. behavior that violates rpn site rules will lead to you being kicked!!
3.No godmodding!! Skills and abilities will need to be discussed and approved to make sure they fit within the thread and aren't too op. This follows into the actual rp process as well!
