other deathlords?

I picked up a few new books and was skimming over them last night and i was happy to see the detail given to Thorns & the Mask of Winters. Now since the MoW seems to be the most "fleshed Out" (pardon the pun) deathlord, i was wondering if any other books gave some detail to the other deathlords. I have the abyssal book, but it just seems that white wolf devotes more time to MoW than the other DL's.  Course i don't have a huge library so i could be totally wrong.

Thanks,

**EDIT, sorry thought i posted this in newbie help... please move this thread ***

The First and Forsaken Lion gets more treatment in (oddly) the Autochtonians book.

Other than that, there's not much else in canon.

Nephilpal, one of the WW writers posted a homebrew DL on his livejournal that's fairly well described. He can be found here.

Thanks, i don't own the autochon book (sp?).  it's the one core book that i am having a hard time buying at my FLGS.  Guess i'll have to order it... cause the lion looked interesting.

Thanks again,

He is indeed interesting, though now I kind of want to see the other named Deathlords fleshed out a little more thoroughly.  I mean really, F&FL is one of 13 Deathlords, and his armies are mighty enough to conquer all the Underworld AND Creation in one push if he was smart about it...and being a First Age general, I imagine he is quite capable of accomplishing the task.

So then what, exactly, makes the Walker special?  What about the Bishop?  Or the Dowanger?  What the hell do these guys even bring to the table that is in anyway remarkable compared to the Lions vast armies and gargantuan supply of First Age tech?  That is a big part of why I am currently writing up a Deathlord of my own...somebody who can counter or even supress the Lion, but not using the whole "Endless legions of the dead" angle.

See, that'd be a shameless plug for my DL, but seeing as I haven't submitted him yet, that's not really the case.  Or maybe I'll just submit what I have awhile.  You just never know!  Hahahahaa!

Do they all have to bring something to the table comparable to what Lion does?

Could each, given the right circumstances, take down a surprised Lion? Sure, why not. But they don't all need to have comparable resources and so on. There are likely some first-among-equals within the Deathlords, with some even more equal than others.

I didn't say they needed comparable resources.  They just need SOMETHING about them that makes them worthwhile in a campaign.  Be it an interesting past, a strange system of acquiring land, crazy powerful necromancy, or blue hippos that speak Chinese.  I just want the other DLs to bring something to the table, something I can use.

At the moment all we've got is the Lion with his insurmountable armies and a bit extra about MoW and his Juggernaut.  I want more about ALL the DLs and what they have/can do.

And by the by, this thread, for whatever reason, made me want to finish my Deathlord.  He's in the pending submissions at the moment.

Okay, THAT was a shameless plug.  But I've been staring at notepad for over an hour now, plugging away at finishing up the servants and such.  I was going to include possible story arcs as well as current relations with other DLs, but oh well.  Too much there as is.
