Fantasy Original Species

Isabelle smiles a bit at her. "It's alright, It was a bit unfair for me to say that since I don't know your story and it's not fully up to me. It takes two to tango right? And I suppose so. Not all of us are evil as I'd like to think. We might be twisted in a sense but maybe it's because we had our innocent stolen from us." she said with offering her hand. "I'm Isabelle Fleur." Sage smiled a bit as she watched them, hanging back slightly so they could talk.

Robert smiled, "ah, see, my plan of inter species mingling is finally working. We have a shifter, fairy, witch and vampire all together now!" He laughed a little, "Almost a whole gang, plus I'll be able to get the most delicious treats and the most delicious tea together!"

Kiara shook it carefully, and smiled at Robert. "Lovely to meet you Isabelle. Just like the old days. Back when the original families used to marry one another without all the prejudice," she said softly. "Although the tea was awful, and we didn't have sugar." Her lip twitched, remembering when she had just been turned. "Which means you must be Sage Cooper," she said smiling at the auburn haired girl who looked no older than 18.

Isabelle nods and smiles a bit. "The tea in the old days without sugar was horrible or so my grandma says... which is why I decided to make my shop... So I could make my own tea." she said softly while taking her hand back lightly. Sage blinks and looks up slightly. "H-Huh? Oh yes... I'm Sage, It's nice to meet you Kiara." she said softly while offering her hand timidly.

Kiara's lips twitched. "I'm old enough that we'd never even heard of sugar," she said softly. She shook Sage's hand and smiled. "Sorry, I make it an effort to know all the witches in the area. I know this is fairly intrusive, but do you know which of the Redick's you're directly descended from?" she asked, curious as to what had come of her bloodline. She'd married Sebastian Redick, one of the original witches but he'd died when the first plague had hit. But not before she'd had two of his children. They'd gone on to have their own children with humans and eventually the shifter gene had faded, but the witch gene had remained strong. Many had forgotten that there had even been a shifter in their family.

Robert looked at Isabelle, "your tea is indeed very sweet. I'm curious, what will tomorrows batch be?" He looked into her eyes for a moment, before looking away and smiling at a passing guest. He hadn't been interested in a woman since the early 20s, he was caught off guard by his sudden attraction to Isabelle.

Sage shakes her head. "I wouldn't know. My Grandma might know... I'll have to ask her." she said softly while rubbing her arm shyly, blushing a bit in embarrassment. Isabelle smiles a bit, "Doesn't she have a big book of your family tree?" she asked slightly while looking at Sage. Sage nodded slightly. "Yeah.. I think your right." she said softly while noticing the look from Robert at Isabelle. Isabelle smiles a bit as she looks at him. "I'm planning on making a Wild berry and Vanilla tea tomorrow." she said while looking at him.

Robert looked toward her smiled, "sounds absolutely wonderful, I can't wait." He again seemed to lose his train of thought when he looked at her. "ER.. Forgive me if I stare like an idiot I'm a little... Rusty at talking to women"

Isabelle laughs softly into her hand. "Funny considering I'm older then you but I look younger." she said while looking at him. "Which is unfortunate since most humans would think it's a bit weird if they saw us together." she said while putting her hand on her him. Sage decides to go off on her own a bit to get some air, walks out to the balcony.

Robert smiled and looked at her hand, then her face "well they would also find it strange if I drank all their blood, or if you controlled the elements around them." He winked, " luckily we are experts at hiding."

Isabelle snorts slightly while looking away. "Ah yes, well it's not hard when your friend is half human." she said while looking for Sage, didn't notice she left. "Did you see where Sage went off to? She doesn't do well on her own..." she said while looking around.

---

Sage leaning against the railing, over looking the gardens; she sighed softly as she thought about her family line, wondering if her magic was as strong as other witches who were directly from the bloodline or weaker because she was half human.

"I did not see her go off... I suppose we can go look for her." Robert looked at Isabelle, "it's not too big of a house, and I doubt she would leave without you. So how did you meet her?" He looked around for Sage as they walked

Isabelle walking with him, staying a good few feet away from him. "I met her at the cemetery after she buried her parents with her grandma.." she said while looking for Sage.

"That must have been hard for her... I know what that's like. And I'm sure you do too ." He frowned a little and looked at her, he noted her distance and didn't try to close the gap. "And she just latched onto you?"

Isabelle shrugs slightly, while holding her elbows. "Yeah... Guess it's because she was confused and scared and her grandma didn't tell her anything... So I basically told her what she was and helped her." she said while looking around and walking, distanced herself because she remembered what happened last time she got to close to a guy.

"Well that's good... Not many fairies I know would have done that ... It's strange, fairies in the stories are always depicted as the good guys... You guys are normally jerks. No offense."

Isabelle shakes head. "None taken... some of us just are that way... mostly because we think we're better... Well the ones I've met..." she said while walking with him, looking for Sage, hoping she's okay.

"Where could she have gotten too?" He frowned a little, "you search in here, I'll look on the balcony and the garden, okay?" Robert looked towards Isabelle to make sure splitting up worked for her

Isabelle nods and walks off, her hips swaying as she goes. "Got it." she said and started to looking around the main floor, trying to find her friend, worried slightly.

---

Sage leaning on the balcony, looking over the garden, watching the trees and plants sway in the breeze gently; wondering slightly what it would be like to be a fairy and be connected to the earth.

Robert nodded and left towards the balcony. He saw the young witch and relaxed as he walked to her. "Miss Sage." Robert came and stood next to her, "Isabelle is worried about you." He looked at her aNd smiled "She cares a great deal about you."

Sage jumps a bit and turns to look at him, hand over her heart. "Jeez! Don't sneak up on me like that... I have a faint heart you know... You could have killed me with a heart attack..." she said softly while calming a bit. "And I know... It's probably because i'm her only friend in a long time..." she said sadly.

"She seems... Uh... Reluctant for my friendship, I'm assuming she's been hurt before." He looked at Sage, "has she?" He hesitated for a moment, "Er, nevermind, I'm not sure we should talk about this behind her back , sorry."

Sage shakes head slightly as she sighs. "I don't know much except what she told me on the subject... She has been hurt before... and it was because of her maker... He acted like he cared and then "made love to her" before changing her, causing her to lose the child and all faith in man..." she said softly.

He looked at Sage, "That's... Awful.." He looked away, "I understand why she wouldn't trust men now, heck, I wouldn't." He sighed, "That being said, I hope you don't mind me making a fool of myself around her... I haven't been this taken by a woman in a long time."

Sage smiles a bit and laughs softly. "It's alright... To be honest... you'd be good for her... if you didn't look 26... That's just a bit creepy." she said softly while looking at him. "She might warm up eventually... so long as nothing happens that might mess it up..." she said while twirling one of her curls.
