The cataclysm: complete collapse of all magic for a fantasy world of folks who relied on it for every aspect of their daily lives.*
**Here's the pitch:**
Following a collapse of a magic society, a world's entire population must learn how to survive without relying on magic anymore. there is no indication of what caused it, and despite their most desperate hopes, It is irreversible.
Their society functioned for millenia relying almost entirely on magic for their source of
entertainment, food security, environmental stability, Health and wellness.... etc. Having no need for infrastructure for antiquated technology (agriculture, electricity, computers, medicine...etc) it was removed long, long ago. The planet's occupants evolved to become innately adept at commanding magic to do nearly anything for them, so their only concern was advancing their leisure. They really had learned to live fearless and... frankly, with the inability to actually survive on their own without magic.
Our story starts at the beginning of the cataclysmic failure and describes the devastation to their way of life and survivability. Everything they knew and relied on will crumble dramatically, leaving everyone prone and ignorant. Only the most clever and tenacious will be able to rebuild a semblance of life for themselves.
This is something of a passion project, so please understand if I insist on some level of vetting, simply because I will not know everyone here. I want to start with one invested person. I am not opposed to opening it up if it fits the story, but that is to be determined.
Basic guidelines:
◇ We will work together. I'm looking for a committed collaborator. We will plan and chat and storyboard with each other I have no plot in mind, only the context. We are building the plot. So Im looking for someone I can trust, jive with, and someone who is invested.
◇ Looking for a Lady. Personally, it would be nice if you were over 30y/o. I am 39
◇ Send a rough character sheet and some notes as to how you might see them fitting into the context.
◇ Follow basic rp considerations: no god modding, No mary Sues, no controlling each other's character, do not assume each others reactions/decisions…etc.
◇ For the most part, multi paragraphs will be necessary. However, I am a strong believer that there are times when shorter responses are absolutely necessary for good flow. For example, dialogue and rapid action that demands frequent responses and decisions from each other.
◇Post frequency: this can range from daily to weekly for actual story posts. Im hoping we can chat frequently about the story in ooc posts to storyboard and share ideas.
◇Posts should contribute to the story, or your character's development as well as provide the writing partner something to work with, respond to, or react to.
◇ Decent literacy. Basic grammar and spelling. I'm not anal about this. I usually write on my phone and I often make mistakes. I try to edit even after submitting.
◇ 3rd person, past tense narrative
◇ Please be willing to use doscord. We will make a seperate server to spread our legs out in.
◇ NSFW stuff is fine to a limit. Please talk to me if you are wondering about including something you are not sure about.
◇ Please leave real-world politics out of the story… and the planning. Please disclose absolute triggers prior to beginning.
