With my classes taking me into the stories of World War II, I've had a jumble of ideas in my head. This first started out as a dream and I really liked it. This is based on the war however, the war does come to the soil of the US. Here's the prompt:
At least that's what the soldiers did. We never imagined that the Nazis would dock and fire on Savannah, Georgia.
I live a little North than Atlanta and just received the news. It only takes a couple of hours to get here. My school was being evacuated, but it seems my whole town thought so too. I looked around. I85 would be packed, 129 would be full. We would never make it out of the town.
I was in the ROTC of my College. We had little training but we could try. So I turned my back on the bus, running to the gun room by the range. It was the closest and the easiest to get too.
That's when the bombs went off.
It's 2018. The war had been going on for 3 years now. We had tried staying out of the mess of Europe, but when the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor last year, we grabbed our guns and headed off to war.
