[OOC] The very very secret shady bar [Why Vote for a Lesser Evil?]

I has a question, dragonblooded only, yes?

Also, what sort of access can PCs have to super fun stuff lying about in Creation?

I assume that given no extra xp or some such, that we'd start as young dragonblooded?

Yes, only dragonbloods. Solars trying to get the throne would be a whole other kind of ballgame, eh?

As for fun stuff, you'll have to be a bit more specific. You won't start the game in control of the Five-Metal Shrike or whatever, but i'm not really sure what you're asking.

And you'll have to make do without xp at chargen. Do note the rules for gaining xp, though.

I have. I was thinking more things like artifacts, allies and mentors that you don't normally see in the hands of dragonblooded. Keyword is normally.

Ah. That's what you meant. Yeah, preliminarily i'd say yes. However, with regards to the artifacts i don't actually know which book has the rules for such things, so if you could point me in the right direction i'll look it up more specifically.

Artifacts rules would be found in;

Magitech artifacts and vehicles - Wonders of the Lost Age

Plain artifacts and manses - Oadenols Codex

Fair folks also have their own artifacts; Behemoths, Adjurations and Glamour Spells - Graceful Wicked Masque

I'm not thinking of Necromatic stuff, but if anyone does... they can be found in - Exalted Manual Abyssals

By the way, Haku. This Lillun isn't the same one that's currently being used as an Infernal shard bag, right?

If she is, no biggie, we'll just disregard that bit so it's no problem, but it's nice to know  .

She wasn't given to the Yozi, if that's what you mean... she has not met BAD END.

Going over the XP table, I noticed something odd.

Dragonblooded manual clearly states that outside of the changes in cost noted in the XP table, that the costs and training times are the same as the solar book. And it proceeds to list the xp cost for charms (aspected/favored or otherwise), celestial martial art charms (aspected/favored or otherwise), essence and that's it.

Meanwhile, in the core book, they have a set cost for spells (caste/favored or otherwise).

Which should in theory mean that that we would use the solar cost for spells... ^_-

I know it's not true, and that we should use the DB cost for their charms for their spells.. but it's something amusing I noticed.

*Examines, then considers that he'd only be knocking 1 XP off per spell because Brigid's Heir isn't the best of deals*

...Well, you know, it certainly doesn't. Odd it'd be so specific about Celestial Martial Arts and not Sorcery.

So how are we starting this thing up? Any ETA on when that first post goes live?

Also, is there any listed posting requirements?

As soon as everyone's completed their characters and so i'll see about getting the game going. So hurry it up, people! :D

As for posting... i assume you mean how often we should post et cetera? Personally i'll try to post at least once a day. I hope you'll try the same. Now, i won't always manage that, and neither will you, but it's a good goal to aim for.

I just need to finish writing stuff... 8)

XP spending is easy... wall of text... not so much.

Once a day sounds fine to me. I might be able to even do twice a day, but I wouldn't expect that as a standard.

Sorry, what I meant was: Is there a deadline for fully completing characters (ie: spending the XP) so that we can have a start date for the game?

ie: When are we starting?

This one must humbly appologize for being the one to delay this game... I'll see what I can do to have my character sheet/backstory/fic done up by this weekend.

I'm not going to set a deadline for finishing characters. Just get it doon as soon as possible.

Oh, and when you're done with your characters repost them into the character forum.

It's not that I'm not done... stat-wise. I just need to write up a fiction piece for that last 5 bonus points that I spend that I thought I had due to the 2nd pic I posted. ^_^ ;;;

Fic is taking too long for me to write, I keep extending it and editing it. I'll post it when done, for now I've edited the bonus points spend to take out the extra 5 bonus points, so it should be kosher for now...

If you approve of it, I'll put up a XP-spend version.

Right, folks.

Just a quick overview of the situation, here.

As soon as everyone is done with their characters and have reposted them into the Show of Cunning forum, i'll try to get this thing going. However! I am a bit swamped with schoolwork this week, so it might take a day or two. But i'll do my best to get it up as soon as possible, when everyone's done.
