myvalentina myvalentina speaking of Rictor!!!!!! Did you see Logan yet???? (Go see it!!!!!) Did everyone see Logan? Because it's god damn fantastic and the best Logan portrayal ever!!

I DID GO SEE IT!

Not going to lie I nearly punched my cousin in excitement when I heard his name and had to stop myself from yelling. I can't help how big a fan I am of Rictor that even this small reference was enough. Especially because he's still I think lost in another dimension in the comics. But besides my CHILD being included I was so impressed with the movie. It was so well done. Easily jumped up there as one of my favorite if not my FAVORITE super hero movies to date.
 
FarFlungDreamer FarFlungDreamer That's great to hear! I've been hyped for that movie ever since the first trailer and even more now given the reviews it's been getting. As a busy student I've had trouble fitting it in my schedule but I hope I'll be able to see it next weekend.
 
Lol, I pretty much did that to my sister when Laura's footclaw popped out for the first time! It was so amazing!! It's crazy because he's not a huge character but he happened to be the one put in! : D He got to the big screen!! Dumb comics, everyone's off lost doing something! It really was just so amazing! I couldn't believe how perfect Logan's characterization was! From his actions, to his temper, that he was still protecting the professor but was his cranky crabby self, and his reaction to Caliban pestering him about his problems was amazing. My favorite part had to be when he's talking to Laura in the cabin? Like geez, JUST SO PERFECT! Although when he started beating the car up was pretty funny too. Also it was such a smart movie too, like how the professor's powers were degrading along with mental illness.

Good luck getting time for it! Super worth it though, go see it!!! Apparently it's the top move in the world right now too! Not surprised, because it really was that good! Even for people who aren't X-Men fans, but it's instantly my favorite super hero movie (I mean it might be tied with the Cap trilogy, but it's a very, very close tie)

I agree wholeheartedly. Everyone should go see it if y'all can. I'll probably go again before it's out of theaters.

Wow, that's quite a statement considering the amount of superhero movies now. I hope it'll be one of my favorites too. My favorite Marvel movie is probably Guardians of the Galaxy with Winter Soldier and X-Men 2 close behind. My favorite DC movie is definitely The Dark Knight (there aren't too many good ones to choose from). I'm not even gonna try to compare Guardians vs TDK because they're about as different as 2 movies based on comic books can get.

I actually didn't love Civil War though. It was obviously well-made and had cool action, but so is every MCU movie at this point. It never seemed like there was a real "civil war" since Cap and Iron Man were pulling punches in pretty much every fight, and the fact that nobody died didn't help either. IMO there were also too many jokes in scenes that shouldn't really have been comedic, and a lot of the character motivations besides Cap's weren't really believable.

If you ask me, I actually enjoyed X-Men Apocalypse quite a bit more, even though a lot of people hated it. Apocalypse himself was probably the weakest part of the movie (though not terrible) so I guess a lot of people didn't like it because they wanted him to be the highlight. But the movie did a great job juggling around a huge ensemble cast and giving everyone character development, and it combined a lot of the best elements of previous X-Men movies and comics to make one of the better entries in the series in my opinion.
 
fanaticalferret fanaticalferret Don't get me wrong, Civil war was still a fun, entertaining Marvel movie. I just think they played it a bit too safe and could have made some things better. For a movie that's supposed to be so unique in the MCU they followed their typical formula awfully closely, but I'm not quite sick of that formula yet. If I was, I probably wouldn't be in this RP :P
