Yeah but those 300-380 meters long VLCC/ULCC oil tankers only need crew of 23 on average, I think automatic system are perfectly acceptable explanation for low crew number requirements

Yo, do we get to decide when the pirates die? e.g. ray shoots and kills on his first shot

(Alright, a little warmup combat. You'll have about five seconds of reaction time after the missed shot, describe what your character would do and only what they would do and not how its effects would be. I will be the one writing the effect. Each of the tagged people post once, and I'll whip up a reaction.)

Hmmm, shouldn't Kei be able to see clearly that the figure standing there is actually a mannequin? Gehennians live mostly underground and thus can see quite well in the dark...

But creatures living mostly underground would have poor eyesight and evolve to rely on hearing...

Weeell, not in their case. It's like darkvision in dnd. Their eyes are quite sensitive to bright light though. A normal sunny day to them is very uncomfortable, hence the goggles.

"Darkvision: Many creatures in fantasy gaming worlds, especially those that dwell underground, have darkvision. Within a specified range, a creature with darkvision can see in darkness as if the darkness were dim light, so areas of darkness are only lightly obscured as far as that creature is concerned. However, the creature can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray." This is from the 5e rulebook I think.

i guess that would be similar to cat’s biological night vision? Not sure if that would really help distinguishing mannequin on a moving ship

Finding reference photos is incredibly difficult apparently. My idea is that they see in the dark/at dusk/dawn/night about as well as humans do during the day and the other way around. RandomBlobMan RandomBlobMan pls help put an end to my suffering
