Necromunda is vast, and so is the imperium - so I'd say whatever ya feel like for profanity as long as it fits. One man screaming 'fuck!' and another 'Emperor's Fething Bowels' would just help add to that variety. At least I think so.

It could be good to have differing terms of profanity based on differing levels of the hive, with more upper class going "Emperor's Bowels" and the lower areas of the hive saying things like "Fucking hell!". It serves to show the class difference a bit more/

Bugger. I've already posted something where I think present day terminology is used in terms of profanity. I could edit it if necessary.

No big deal, I just had the idea that consistent swear words would help tie the world together.  I was leaning towards present terminology just for simplicity's sake.

That makes sense. Maybe we could keep present day profanity the norm and if people want to go the extra mile and say things like "Holy Throne and Terra!", they can do so.

"Pull the mechadendrite out of your arse..."

Well done. B|  Necromunda: Hive City took its first step today.  Let the grimdark begin!

Perhaps yes, perhaps not.

But in my opinion, I think the future of hive city, would just be a whole lot of Orks.

Never forget; Orks trump all.

Anyway, is it possible to play other species? Just asking. I mean, necromunda's table-top version included other species, and mutants.

I think you're allowed to play as Abhumans but no Xenos. So things like Ogryn's will probably be alright but no Ork PCs. Would be funny to have a Waaagh! hit Necromunda though, might lighten the tone a bit. Orkz have a habit of doing that.

Correct.  Most 40k roleplays pit the Imperium vs Xenos, but I wanted this Rp to focus on the inner struggles of an Imperial Hive World.

A Waaagh! Would probably reduce the imperial city to ashes, and debris, at its most basic form. And as a result, would simply shift all focus from gang skirmishes and struggle, to a day-to-day look at Ork Kulture.

It would be rather funny though.

Nah, Necromunda is Segmentum Solar. You'd have the Imperial Fists throwing their entire chapter at a Waagh like they did with the War of the Beast. You don't mess with Terra or anything even close. Because the boys in yellow are all suicidal masochists.

Especially since this is one of their recruiting worlds.

Not to mention an extremely important production planet for Imperial Guard weaponry and troops, and the Guard tends to react poorly to Xenos fucking with their supply lines.

Wait, why is my post all double-post-like?

Sometimes, truth can be stranger than fiction.

Anyway, one shouldn't really underestimate a waagh! If left as it is, it can grow way too much bigger than it really should, coupled with the fact that Orks are pretty much all bloodthirsty, regenerative, insanely strong beasts, with sub-par reasoning and some dogged determination. But then again, their lack of actual strategy, and proper organization, always leads to their downfall. Only to grow up back again.

It's like an endless cycle.

Aye, the Beast almost trashed Holy Terra with his Waagh! But where the Imperium is concerned, no cost is too great to eradicate filthy xenos.

Of course, the imperium is relentless in their maintenance of absolute order.

But I still don't like em' that much. They're like some crazy-ass, fanatical, theocratic zealots.

That's why ye play the reasonable ones. Who don't bother the Emperor too much. Commissars Cain and Gaunt spring to mind as excellent examples of leaders who aren't stupid as hell. As well as Inquisitor Ravenor a little bit. No planet burning there. Thankfully.

I would imagine the Fists would put out a call for other nearby chapters (especially other successors of Dorn) to lend a bolter — like what happened at Armageddon.  Lots of chapters, lots of IG regiments, as well as a titan legion or two.

Oh, definitely. The Fists have a backup plan if Terra is threatened - they essentially reform the original legion using all of their successors. The War of the Beast books are really interesting for a look into the Defenders of Terra.

I just read a lot. Favoured Chapter are generally Raven Guard or Iron Hands, favourite Legion were Pre-heresy Thousand sons.

I've read a bit of canon—more 30k than 40k, as I generally prefer that era.  I'm always interested to learn what everyone's favorite chapter or faction is.

Oh, my favourite faction is definitely the Guard nowadays. Can't really beat a bunch of guys in T-shirts with Flashlights and balls of weapons grade adamantium trying to take on space bugs that want to eat everything or seven foot tall green mushrooms with giant axes. Did used to collect Eldar though, space elves were fun to build and paint.
