Fantasy (OOC) Department of Defense Against the Supernatural

@Hel @Azure Sky is it alright if in my post I assume your characters follow Remus outside the building?  Like can I write a whole thing of them walking down the stairs and just going directly outside and nothing more?

Maddox took a look at the magic residue and duplicated it to test it. Upon pouring other magic residue into it, he saw that in this case, it was Holy Magic residue. It attracted other Holy Magic and reacted strongly to Dark Magic residue. The database eliminated any weapon that wasn't Dark or Holy. So that left Holy and Dark Bows, which were many. No worries though

Allerio's bow actually functions on positive (good) and negative (bad/evil) energy rather than holy/demonic, which is mentioned just a little in the CS. You also have another clue: the fact that he healed the woman with magic.

Well let me just tell you. When it comes to the Magic Database, I go by a chart that's somewhat like this, where every spell has an element that falls somewhere on the chart, and where the direct middle is something like a catch-all type, similar to a Null/Neutral type, or Pokemon's Normal Typing

We get the Magic Residue, test it, and the Residue determines the element of the spell cast. From the whole Morals theme of Allerio's bow, I assumed that the arrows must've been Dark (Black), Holy (White), or Neutral (Grey),

The thing is, those arrows must have an element to them. Otherwise, it eliminates the concept of Magic Residue testing

So the question is what element are the arrows being fired from the bow, if it's not Holy or Dark?

What element is Allerio's healing spell? Healing spells have been portrayed 4/5 times as being Water, Nature/Grass/Earth, or Holy

These are pretty important questions if the goal is to track him down from the magic residue. We have to be on the same page logically speaking. Otherwise, I'll be tracking your character when he's not even in the same universe.

@Azure Sky

Oh I didn't know you had something like this...

Considering Allerio's species and all that jazz, the most logical answer would be that his healing is nature related. As for his arrows, for the sake of being on the same page, let's just say that they belong to a sub-class of Holy/Dark or something along those lines. Magic is generally complex, after all. How does that sound?

Sure, so long as we decide it isn't overpowered. That depends mostly on its weaknesses.

You'll be taken care of this evening, dude. I'm going to be handling the new sheets.

This is because, as a general announcement, Hel underwent lasic surgery today! She'll be avoiding looking at electronics for long periods of time while her eyes heal, so I'll be taking care of the maintenance of the game. She's also likely to dictate a post to me, and tbh, I'm likely to be way too lazy to switch accounts so I'm probably going to give her response under the guise of being an eight-legged horse.

So yeah! That's on the schedule for tonight.

Oh that was unexpected. Is Hel doing well?

She's doing great! Currently she's in the floor playing with our baby sister talking about being able to see the baby's face without contacts or glasses. :)  the whole thing happened pretty dang quick.

Likely. However, this roleplay isn't super high activity so you're very unlikely to be left behind. We have people from all sorts of time zones.

In the spirit of me being lazy would anyone likento catch me up on everyone's locations?

So far, Greyston, Azure Skyfallen, Piper and Luke are investigating a case. They're being aided by Galleytrot and Remus. They're very sketchy guys.

At the Department, Vince is just getting settled in and about to get a bit of a tour. Mæja is in some kind of trouble and calling Alex. He and Sanja are probably about to take off after her to figure out what's going down.

I have Aidan, an intern, and Ashlynn, my new character at the Department.

I currently have Aidan and Ashlynn at the Department. Greyston and most of the others are otherwise engaged in cases.
