Hey so where are we at technologically speaking in the rp? Also, how would we all meet each other? Surely our characters will be all over the place. I'm trying to write up a backstory but I'm not sure about where I should be from geographically ya know?

The age limit is there specifically to limit the ages. I would prefer not to see an elf that is say 1200 years old. It helps keep things a little more reasonable for our characters. @Lorkhan

@Capaablanca the technology will be steampunk. As for people being able to meet, I am going to have a starting place for everyone to be at when the RP begins. So you may have your character background as you wish, but we will all start out in the RP at the same location for simplicity's sake.

Yes, I did Blackrose, I am currently debating on how the elements are gonna be used. That is the only thing I preventing me on your like. I think I am gonna work on an evo system or such. not so sure just yet.

And I saw, I will add lightning to the energy bracket :D

Well. That makes sense, because I was wondering why you didn't like my cs when I tagged you.  :/

Yup sorry. I have been mulling over whether I want it to be like fairy tail magic, where its pretty over powered, or more like ATLA/LOK bending style and let them evolve into more powerful forms as the RP progresses and the characters grow. @Blackrose7

I would like to know what others think on this :D.

ATLA/LOK bending style: Need a water source nearby for water magic users.

Fairy Tail magic: Screw finding a water source, since I can shoot water from my hands.

Fire, no not really. Fire both ways are generated by the wielder.

However in FT most people can generate their element from nothing but magic power. ATLA/LOK they need sources and fire is the only element that is generated.

Big fan of Avatar. Never seen Fairy Tail. Is there a difference in how they use fire?

Nope. It's just that Waterbenders need a water source. Earth: Nope | Air: Nope | Fire: Nope

Only Waterbenders have this; because they can use their blood bending, and throw people around like toys. :/

Plus the problem is that water isn't everywhere, and you would need to carry a open water bottle in order to use it.

Actually they all have sources, if you displace an earth bender from the earth they lose their bending, and put a fire bending in a completely lightless room and they lose their power too. Air I dunno what their weakness is. BUUUTTT water is in all honesty the most limited because they cannot generate it. Masters could pull it from the air as long as it wasn't an arid environment.

I'm still on the fence with water. I kinda want water to be like bending at first then have the power evolve into being able to generate it as they character's mastery over their magic grows.

Also @Blackrose7 I am trying to keep everyone as balanced as possible. Check out the elements explained thread and let me know what you think?

Firebenders don't need external sources of fire, if that's what you're getting at. They can generate fire from their own chi

True, but their bending source was sunlight. When a lunar eclipse took place, they lost their bending. It stands to reason that removing them entirely from sunlight (not talking about night as sunlight (UV radiation) was still present through refraction) but in a contained and enclosed area where no uv radiation got through, they may have lost their power.

I thought that Waterbenders lose their bending during the lunar eclipse, since they are connected to the moon.

Firebenders are connected to the sun.  :/

But firebenders can still bend at night, when the sun is on the other side of the earth, but somehow they can't during a solar eclipse when the moon is only partially blocking the sun.

Firebenders can still bend at night. It's just that they get stronger during the day than at night.  :/

So yeah. Water is the most handicapped out of all of the elements.

I think it's actually very powerful. If you can master bloodbending without the full moon, you'd be pretty much unstoppable. A bloodbender could potentially snap someone's neck with a flick of their hand, not to mention that they can also freeze and boil the fluids in peoples' bodies. Water is pretty much everywhere too. One of water's main weaknesses is the need for water wherever you go, but we see benders like Hama can eliminate that weakness by taking water from plants and even water vapor.

True. Water is everywhere, plus they can do this with their blood bending.
