The World of Revlyn

Ages ago, the world known as Revlyn was shattered by the gods. The reasons for this are now lost, but there are many who have taken up the search for this knowledge. The world was shattered into four realms which are held together by magic no mortal could ever cast. Travel between the realms only exists via teleportation grids known as the Nexi. There are few who live today who understand or know how to use the Nexi. Knowledge of the Nexi is a greatly guarded secret that is known by few even among royalty.


The Four realms are known as Xolin Realm of Exiles, Saletis Realm of Prosperity, Bruturius Realm of Heaven and Ahzif Realm of those who Watch. I will only go into Saletis as this is where the story takes place.


Saletis Realm of Prosperity, is the largest land mass among the four realms. It holds most if not all of the mineral resources, fertile land and water of the previous world. Within this Realm exists five separate separate countries. The Riverlands, Dalarak the Kingdom of States, Gander the Mountains Desert, Veltirious The Mirrored Lands, Kaliminit The Grey.


The Riverlands

This land is lush with rivers and trees, covering a 5000 mile land stretch. Most notably known for diverse wild life that inhabits the many areas out of eyes few. Although it is a land widely known for being wild and uninhabitable due to its dangerous nature, faeries and other such nature like humanoid races do make their homes within the trees and waters of this land.

• They have very little dealings with countries outside of their own besides Kaliminit.
  
• They deal with Dalarak through Launderan, however recently political leaders having been forcefully sending rivals, mistress' to dispose of them, and other sorts of nefarious reasons.
  
• Although this country is mainly wild lands, their exists a portion of land that has been turned into a Kingdom by the elven people. They are secluded and the name is currently unknown to anyone besides those who reside there.
  

Dalarak The Kingdom Of States

• Although it is known as the kingdom of states, many of these rulers are part of the Collective Council. They pay homage to one ruler who resides within the pseudo capital of the Country, Geltmurde.
  The Capital Geltmurde, also known as the Shining Spire, is the largest city in the Country spanning over five miles in length. It was given this name from the spires attached to the main Cathedral of the Church of those watched. Geltmurde is part of the City state of Mardut which controls the largest portion of land mass in Dalarak.
  
• The Church- Known as the Church of those who are watched makes its home in the State of Mardut
  They are followers of the Watchers, who dwell in the realm Ahzif.
  
• Believing that the Watchers are gods who know all, they attempt to follow the Doctrines given by them.
  
  The main Doctrines:
  That which is not man, must be erased for it shall bring only death
  
• All are being watched and those who do evil shall be smote by the hands of our Lords.
  
• Live not for ones own sake, but that of everyone.
  

[*]The Church has labeled Launderan and Nachanna as enemies. One of the main goals the church has is the extermination of non humans.

• Qinterio allows demi humans and humanoids within their lands, however this has begun to cause some strain between them and Mardut
  

[*]Among the City states that pay homage to Mardut include

• Rometur - Land of Painful Shadows
  This state controls the second smallest portion of land. However they hold a great deal of power among the council.
  Known for their powerful magic users who never die and for having the most dangerous of assassin's guild "Ghost Trail" among their members. Their words hold a great many ears within the council itself.
  

[*]Vestige - Land of Spirits

• The smallest land mass in Dalarak. The only people who live in Vestige are those chosen by the Watchers to receive their blessings and words of wisdom.
  
• Temple lords are those given the give of a blessing or who the watchers are able to speak through.
  
• The leaders of the countries will on occasion travel with entourages to seek the wisdom of the Watchers through the Temple lords.
  

[*]Qinterio - Land of Music and Knowledge

• Many aspiring scholar's, minstrel's and magic user's travel here to learn. Hosting some of the largest libraries in the world, most if not all the knowledge in the world is supposedly housed in this country.
  
• Although on the outside they support Mardut, they mainly try to stay neutral. Their goal is knowledge and the passing on of it.
  

[*]Hallaton - Land of Honor

• Known for the strength and valor of their knightly orders. Many if not all of them are followers under the beliefs and edicts of the Church of the watched.
  

[*]Not all of the States are on the side of Mardut though

• Launderan - Land of Faeries lake
  This is the land closest to The Riverlands. This land has become to the home of many of the faeries, elves and other woodland living non humans that decided to leave the riverlands too make a home somewhere else.
  

[*]Nachanna - Land of the Monsters

• The main opposition too Dalarak, Nachanna is a land filled with mystical monsters and demi humans.
  This includes Beastmen, goblins, demons and many other times of monsters.
  

[*]Located near the Mountain country of Gander, they have made an alliance with the dwarves and the various other races that dwell in the kingdoms beyond the almost endless expanse of mountains.


[*]Ruled by the Vampire king Nocht and his queen the Weretigeress Shanna. They continue to clash with Mardut and Hallaton on an almost daily basis.

• Although the Church's reason for wanting to destroy Nachanna is because they believe it to be inherently evil. They have never once attempted to negotiate with them.
