I was expecting a gimmick like "Ha you got the Olive Olive Fruit you can turn your body into little Olives" or "You got the Dance Dance fruit, you can dance real well and spark others to dance!"I wasn't expecting to get a Lovecraftian fruit. Out of curiosity what roles is everyone going for?

Currently I kind of bottle necked my character into being probably a bruiser, or leadership role like Captain/First Mate... which I mean to be fair considering where they are going its helpful to have someone partially insane a bit reckless. That or going with a role that they aren't particularly good with which could be humerous in its own right. "What do you mean you need to be wrapped up? Just move your meat flesh around like I do to cover the wound. simple!"

The character I’m gonna make, I plan for them to be a doctor, or at least have some medical knowledge. They’re still combative, of course, and I wanted to make their weapon a dual-axe or bladed fan kind of thing.

I was thinking a sharpshooter, thief character. Like a mix of usoop and nami, someone who uses a pistol and a various amount of tools.
I want a devil fruit, but I feel that we shouldn't have a crew filled with only devil fruit users.
