General Description:
Description of Attire/Style: Note: Outfits and costumes in One Piece vary from arc to arc, but whether in the misty marshes of Thriller Bark or the snowy wastes of Karakuri, your character is likely to have a general aesthetic and fashion sense that groups their taste in clothing. Are they sporty? Do they prefer practicality and comfort over style?
Personality: Note: Please make this roughly two to three paragraphs in length. I don’t need a full description of how they act with every situation, but a general overview of their temperament, how they respond under pressure, general attributes and such is important.

Abilities: Note: Please list here the abilities/techniques of your character. This can be a description of anything from a Sword Technique to a Devil Fruit Ability (i.e Zoro’s 360 Caliber Phoenix, Chopper’s Ability to Discern Weak Points in Battle, Luffy’s 2nd Gear, etc.). I would prefer you list 5 specific techniques with names to announce during battle (Diabla Jamba, Gomu-Gomu No Jet Pistol, Negative Hollow, etc.), as having the names and announcing your attacks is a staple of One Piece’s zany, creative aesthetic, the more fun and creative the better!
Devil Fruit: Note: See the IC for information on how to fill in this section if you’re interested in filling it in at all.
Strengths: Note: Here you can list the general strong points of your character in combat situations. Are they agile? Very resistant to poisons? Do they have an analytical mind and can read their opponent’s movements well? Only a few are necessary here, but please describe them fully to give a good idea of where your character shines.
Weaknesses: Note: Please do not skim or leave this section unattended! I encourage and wish for my players to enjoy a very anime style power fantasy where their characters can feel like badasses and make big names for themselves on the grand line, but I also encourage my players to write interesting characters that don’t just win all of the time. Where is your character vulnerable? How can they be exploited? A fight hard won is far more satisfying than a fight easily made. By writing weaknesses you make your fight scenes more easy to open into a dialogue between opponents. Weakness can be especially compelling in the world of One Piece! While Usopp would not win in a direct physical confrontation with Luffy, it was his incredibly low confidence that made him a compelling matchup against Perona!
Backstory: Note: Please go into detail of where your character is from and how they ended up becoming a pirate. As the final cast emerges you can start to organize very recent details with your crewmates over discord and determine how you ended up in this pirate crew later. But for now focus on early and formative moments in your character’s life. This is a reminder your character’s backstory does not need to be tragic. Of course I say this in the world of One Piece where all the Straw Hats have endured one form or another of great tragedy which are all very compelling. But your characters’ lives need not be wholly depressing and sans any family like Robin’s to be just as compelling. Please focus on their origins and friends/families/ties they have to the world outside their adventure. Formative figures in their lives like Kaya are for Usopp or Dr. Kureha for Chopper make your OC more lifelike. What inspires them to be a pirate? What shaped their worldview and made them undertake such a dangerous lifestyle?
Profession: (i.e Navigator, Doctor, Historian, Shipwright, etc.) Note: For Sanji, Franky and Chopper cooking, building ships and doctoring respectively are not just professions but entire lifestyles that come with very serious philosophies and emotional attachment. If you haven’t described as much in your backstory, why is your character the profession they are and why do they care about it?
Dream: Note: “I want to draw a map of the entire world!/I want to make a panacea for all illness!/I want to be the greatest swordsman in the world!/I want to be a great warrior!/I want to be King of the Pirates!” These are all examples of “dreams” that are core to the values/hopes/philosophies of the characters of One Piece that have for one reason or another influenced them to venture out into the grand line. Your goal is suggested to be as pie in the sky as you like (as all are meant to be achieved very late in the game at its conclusion) and as vague or specific as you’d like. You may just describe your dream in the form of a simple “I want (...)” or describe it more as you’d prefer.
What Do You Want For This Character?: Note: I feel as though these sorts of conversations are sparse and nonexistent at character creation, but as me (the story planner) and you (the player) interact through RP, I feel like it’s a good idea to know what you want for your character as the story progresses. What do you want them to learn? How do you want them to grow/change? You may be as specific or vague as you’d like with this, but remember the more I know about what you want from them, the more you will get from me if your character is accepted! You can feel free to edit this section as much as you want as we on in the RP.
Theme Song: Note: This does not need to be anime original or from one piece! It can be whatever you think fits your character best. This is not required.
