Appearance: Standing at the height of 165cm and weighing 51kg, Enlai is a slender, lightly tanned woman with a rather plain and forgettable face. Straight, dark brown, waist-length hair tied in a low ponytail with a simple hair tie, her parted fringe is held in place with three hairpins on each side, leaving two long strands to hang loose. Blank-looking onyx eyes behind black metal framed glasses set in an oval-shaped face with a sharp chin, straight nose and full lips.

Her usual wear consists of a dark coloured unbuttoned T-shirt, a thin suit jacket of similar colour and a white Marine Captain coat draped over her shoulders. Brown hide shoes usually cover her feet, and she favours wearing black woollen fingerless gloves to cover her hands, or else her skin would be constantly marred by graphite from her pencils.

Relationships: Enlai still has living family members in the East Blue, quite a handful, to be exact. The Lin family has been in that village for a few generations and most of the family, direct and distant, make their home there. When she decided to travel the world, she sends letters back home whenever possible.

Fighting Style: Enlai doesn't engage in battle personally. By that, I mean she has yet to encounter an opponent that has forced her to do more than dodge attacks with the help of Observation Haki. In a fight, she utilises her Devil Fruit abilities to animate her drawings and throw them at her opponents while she stands back and evade (if she can) anything that comes her way.

1) Armament Haki: She can imbue her ink brush with Armament Haki, making it near unbreakable. She uses it most to fend off attacks and perform normal strikes and stabs. However, that's the extend of it.
2) Observation Haki: She uses it to sense and evade, nothing more as of yet.

Devil Fruit: Gako-Gako no Mi (Sketch-Sketch Fruit) - Like its name suggests, Enlai's powers lie in drawing, which is the reason she carries a small sketchbook and pencils everywhere with her, never letting it leave her person. On the rare occassion she removes them, they are most certainly still within reach. Anyway, she can animate her drawings by willing them to life. When a drawing comes to life, they will disappear from the pages of her sketchbook and will remain in the real world until it is killed. She can animate as many as she wishes, but for now, controlling more than three is pushing her limit. Summoning more would have a chance of her control slipping, and the more dangerous animations would turn on everything around them, friend or foe. Of course, this limit can be surpassed through sheer will and practise. It's just slow going for Enlai.
With her powers, she is able to animate drawings created by other people, but that would take more concentration to control as it is the work of others and not her own.

Weapon: She is not in the habit of carrying around a weapon like a sword or gun, but her ink brush serves her well in defense and point-blank strikes.

PERSONALITY

Lin Enlai is a placid and calculating woman who is always thinking one step ahead, and often have a handful of contingency plans, escape routes and alternate paths as back-up. She speaks with a polite and formal manner at all times, albeit terrifyingly so when she completely stumps her enemies. Though her intentions are sometimes questioned, she is indefinitely loyal to her chosen superior. However, she does not tolerate blatantly unjust actions, and will push the limits of what she can do if she thinks she can amend that, no matter what it costs her. No matter where she is, she stays by her family's morals, and that is "Diplomacy is the first step. Only when all fails that one resolves to war". But she doesn't gloat enemies she defeats, as "arrogance is the downfall of men."

A quiet person by nature, preferring to observe and analyse rather than be observed, Enlai does not believe in speaking unnecessarily or excessively, as running a loose tongue has more than once resulted in vital information being unwittingly leaked. BIOGRAPHY​

Like her father, she loved drawing, having discovered her talent for it during her third birthday. Her favourite things to draw were strange and exoctic things, from a deformed stump of trunk to a two-headed garden snail. Each of her sketches were records of unique things she personally saw, and took pride in each filled page.

When Enlai turned five, her eldest brother decided he didn't want to continue living a mundane life like her parents. He disappeared one day with his most prized possessions, leaving behind only a goodbye note. Five years later, he turned up at the front doors of their house, more tanned and muscular than he was when he left. He looked whole, healthy and much more carefree than Enlai remembered. Regaling the entire family with tales of adventure and all sorts of incredible creatures and sights he came across, her brother instantly captured Enlai's mind, implanting within her the roots of exporation and discovery. While her parents were slightly horrified to know he had became a pirate, the girl didn't care a whit. Her brother was having the time of his life, and she felt happy for him.

It was that same night Enlai accidentally ate a Devil Fruit her brother found in his travels. Bleary from sleep but feeling peckish, she reached or what she thought was a strangely-shaped apple and bit into it without a second thought. The mind-boggingly horrid taste made her choke, but a small piece entered her stomach anyway. Woken by her terrified screams, her brother told her about the legendary fruits that granted power, but robbed one of the ability to swim. Having no idea what kind of Devil Fruit she ate, Enlai quickly forgot about the incident when nothing out of the ordinary happened for an entire year.

The very first time she made use of her powers was in her thirteenth year, when a boa slithered down from the branches of the great tree towards her, she panicked. The palm of her hand touching the just-finished feral cat with a bare-boned tail, her desperation to get away from the venomous striking snake caused it to come to life. A showdown later, Enlai realised her page was blank, and the cat following her home was an exact copy of her drawing, just in three-dimensions.

At the age of seventeen, she followed in her eldest brother's footsteps and left her hometown in search for adventure, bringing with her a few thousand berris, the clothes in her back and her beloved art tools. Her adventuring didn't exactly start off all that well when she the ship she was on as a passenger got waylaid by a pirate crew. Fortunately for her and the others, a Marine partol was nearby and managed to arrest the apparently newbie pirate crew.

In awe of the effortless way the Captain managed to handle the situation, she found herself asking the man question after question regarding enrollment with the Marines, and the various benefits one could get. The Captain rather patiently humoured her, answering her questions before leaving. Estatic to know that Marine Captains had the freedom to sail the seas, she signed up as soon as she could, not caring about what being a Marine entitled, more focused on being able to fulfil her dream.

Ten years later, Enlai is sailing the seas as a Marine Captain, turning down a promotion offer in favour of her freedom - as well as having less restrictions and responsibilities heaped upon her.

DREAM/MOTIVATION​

Enlai's dream is to have a bookful (or more than one) of exotic creatures sketched down and catalogued, as there are many species of flora and fauna yet unrecorded in this world.

Appearance: Witt, standing at the height of 170cm and weighing 65kg, is of average height but gifted with a solid, lithely muscle build, the product of intensive training in speed and stamina-building rather than power. Like most of the people from his hometown, his hair is dark, a solid black. His shaggy hair is left to hang below his shoulder in an uneven cut, tied back in a low ponytail with a simple brown leather band, steel grey eyes almost always hidden behind a curtain of long, uneven fringe. That is, if the hat he is so proud of is not seated upon his head to push hair out of his eyes. His eyes are usually narrowed in concentration and never ceasing in their darting movements, as though there is a constant need to be alert, and there is a light crease between his brows despite his relatively young age due to frowning too much. His eyebrows are low and pinched, contributing further to his serious, no-nonsense look. Since he dislikes the feeling of scruff around his mouth and chin, he keeps himself cleanly-shaved so long as he can afford to do so. His thin, pale lips, straight nose and sharp jawline are directly inherited from his mother.

His preferences in day-to-day outfits lie in long-sleeved shirts and dark slacks, no matter the season. A long, double-breasted midnight blue coat is thrown over, typically unbuttoned. Well-worn brown hide boots complete the outfit. Witt has a small burn scar on his left collarbone where he burned off the tattoo of the World Government emblem after leaving Cipher Pol 9. It is mostly hidden beneath his shirt. He also has a silver stud earring with the Roman numeral "IX" in his right earlobe.

Alias: "The Traitor"

Relationships: He had a mother and a younger sibling when he was taken in by CP9. That was the last time he saw either of them. Witt has no clue if they are still alive.
Despite being branded a traitor, Witt still has fond memories and lingering affection for some members of the secret Cipher Pol division. But he's pretty sure all of them currently want him dead.
He has a scattering of acquaintances in the Four Blues, most of them brokers providing him with information to evade the World Government and the higher-ranking Marines.

Fighting Style: A former member of CP9, Witt is able to utilise all six forms of Rokushiki. However, his true mastery lies in Geppo, Soru and Shigan. Utilising his speed and agility to evade, advance or retreat, he prefers assassinating his target in one hit with Shigan. If that option is out, however, he will fall back and engage in long-mid range combat with his pistol. Only if he truly needs the punch will he use Armament Haki. He keeps that as the last trump card.

Current Career: Blacksmith + Bounty Hunter

Abilities:
1) Armament Haki: Able to cover his entire body in armament Haki so it acts as an armour. He cannot imbue his pistol with Haki though, or any other weapons, for that matter.
2) Observation Haki: He can 'see' life forms with it and use it to evade attacks in battle. He is not so proficient in its use yet to predict the opponent's movements more than one step ahead.
3) Rokushiki: His mastery lies in Geppo, Soru and Shigan. He is proficient in Rankyaku, mostly using his legs. His Kami-e techniques are limited to dodging out of the way and he doesn't exactly use Tekkai since he relies more on his Armament Haki.
4) Stealth: As a former assassin, he had learned how to suppress his killing intent even as he is going in for the kill. Of course, if one's Observation Haki is proficient enough, it doesn't work on them.

Devil Fruit: None and probably will never eat one.

Weapon: Just a flintlock pistol he modified so it can shoot six rounds like a revolver before needing to be reloaded. He carries a few different types of ammo, explosive, incinerary, acidic and standard.

Since his early childhood, Witt was very independent and self-confident, often running away to do things on his own, at his own pace. Despite that, he is very perceptive and intuitive, which allowed him to garner the personalities of others through thorough observations. Hence, he knew how far he could push people close to him and how much they can take before they snapped, though he never did it with malicious intent. After his father's death, Witt, as the next eldest male of the family, became more restrained in his urge to do things his own way. Instead, he had to learn how to consider all options, and be able to take the best possible path even if it might be not to his liking.

From adolescence to adulthood, Witt has settled to typically portraying a relaxed and almost bored attitude, not prone to getting too worked up about anything or by anyone. However, in truth, he is a sensitive person that tries not to let his true feelings show. Most of the time he succeeds in reigning in his temper, but sometimes when it explodes, people are usually left wondering what disastrous thing occurred that was bad enough to anger him. For those that have spent a sufficient amount of time around Witt to witness both his temper and lax attitude, they firmly believe he suffers from severe mood swings.

However, being brought up into adulthood in an environment like CP9 where strength and potential means everything has ingrained in him a peculiarly skewed sense of familial bonds. He appreciates those who can stand him (and stand against him) and will eventually come to care for them as they spend more time together. Even if he may be enemies with them later on, he still regards them as friends, and will be sad if they met their end.

Although he is competitive, he is not a sore-loser and likes to play fair. Witt has a genuine respect for people who are good at their crafts, no matter if it lies in the field of physical strength or mind, for his own acquaintances possess a variety of experts in miscellaneous fields. In contrast, he dislikes lazy people or those who do things half-heartedly.

His father Wiles was a Captain in the Marines, and it's no surprise that the impressionable young kid who grew up listening to tales of heroism and valour of the Marines against scummy pirates idolised his father. Wiles never went against orders and believed the World Government and his Marine superiors always had the best interest in mind. His mother Willow was a simple housewife who had never set foot outside the Island. Hence, with no other prompted paths in mind, Witt's ambition was to join the Marines as soon as he was able to. Due to his persistence on being trained by his father, Wiles eventually relented, setting Witt on a daily routine of stamina-building exercise. As he inherited his mother's frame rather than his father's, Witt was recommended to take speed and agility over power.

Seven years passed and Witt's younger sibling was born. A month later, a Commodore came to their home to inform them of Wiles' unfortunate demise at the hands of a notorious pirate. Noting that Wiles was able to ascend to the rank of Captain with only his physical prowess and rigorous training, the Commodore offered Witt a place in the Marines when he was old enough. Hungry for revenge and with the thought of being able to hunt down pirates if he joined the Marines, the kid insisted on being enlisted, citing he received training from his father at a young age. Little did he know the Commodore was the head of Cipher Pol 9.

A series of string pullings, evading legal routes and bypassing authority, the Commodore fed his mother some line about Witt having enough potential to be recruited at a young age. They reassured a still-grieving widow that her son would not be put in danger from the start, that they will train him up to be just like his father. And, of course, he will be allowed to visit home on his days off. What truly happened was at age nine, the kid was shuffled into a secret division of Cipher Pol, CP9, erased from other Marine records so he didn't really exist within the Marine Corps, and put to train with other assassin-hopefuls. Not that the younger kids knew that yet.

The first two years in CP9, Witt dedicated time to write a letter home each month. But the letters he sent to his mother and sibling never reached them, and when he received nothing in return for two years, Witt just stopped bothering, thinking that his remaining family had long forgotten him. For seven years Witt lived as an assassin for the World Government, learning the fine art of weapon-making and repairs from the CP9's resident blacksmith Leo during his spare time.

Little by little, as he killed stranger after stranger - no more than a face and a name to him - Witt became more and more disillusioned with the World Government. He didn't dislike the Marines, though. As far as he was concerned, the Marines knew nothing about the assassin division. He still believed Justice needed to be upheld, but he didn't see how killing a noble here, a mayor there, the entire council on some distant land would bring peace and security to the citizens. He enlisted to hunt scums of the earth down, not be an instrument of political upheaval! But alas, it was too late to turn back now. Besides, none of his comrades thought they were doing anything disastrous. The World Government's word is law, after all.

The breaking point came when the Head of CP9 ordered the annihilation of an entire kingdom in the West Blue. Three assassins were sent to take out the royal family and anyone who shared their blood. That day, more than two hundred were slaughtered, houses burned and many more imprisoned. Witt left with the blood of a dozen children on his hands for the first time in his career. It had sickened him to see his fellow assassin indifferently slewing an infant in its crib when Witt had hesitated, for the baby reminded him of the sibling he had left behind.

His view of the World Government thoroughly shattered, Witt decided to leave. Of course, no one truly 'left' CP9. They either died or were killed. Witt knew this, but it was a gamble he took. The chance came on his next solo mission. He packed his meagre possessions and left, not looking back. When his assassin friends came after him demanding an explanation as to why he betrayed the World Government, Witt tried persuading them to see things his way, but failed spectacularly. Luckily, his attempt at escaping their clutches was more successful, allowing him to lose them with his life intact. it was no surprise the World Government put a rather hefty bounty on his head, seeing as he possessed crucial information they may damage their reputation if in the right hands.

From then on, he made it a priority to find out what happened to his family, for his old home on Draper Island was long since abandoned. Burning off the tattoo he got the moment he became an official member of CP9 all those years back, Witt began to shed his old identity bit by bit as he traversed across the Four Blues.

DREAM/MOTIVATION​

Witt's dream is to expose the corruption within the World Government, and hopefully be able to witness a change for the better. His motivational force driving him is the fact that his friends in CP9 are probably brainwashed, not being able to see what they are doing is wrong.

Having no idea what kind of Devil Fruit she ate, Enlai quickly forgot about the incident when nothing out of the ordinary happened for an entire year.

The very first time she made use of her powers was in her thirteenth year, when a boa slithered down from the branches of the great tree towards her, she panicked. The palm of her hand touching the just-finished feral cat with a bare-boned tail, her desperation to get away from the venomous striking snake caused it to come to life. A showdown later, Enlai realised her page was blank, and the cat following her home was an exact copy of her drawing, just in three-dimensions.

At the age of seventeen, she followed in her eldest brother's footsteps and left her hometown in search for adventure, bringing with her a few thousand berris, the clothes in her back and her beloved art tools. Her adventuring didn't exactly start off all that well when she the ship she was on as a passenger got waylaid by a pirate crew. Fortunately for her and the others, a Marine partol was nearby and managed to arrest the apparently newbie pirate crew.

In awe of the effortless way the Captain managed to handle the situation, she found herself asking the man question after question regarding enrollment with the Marines, and the various benefits one could get. The Captain rather patiently humoured her, answering her questions before leaving. Estatic to know that Marine Captains had the freedom to sail the seas, she signed up as soon as she could, not caring about what being a Marine entitled, more focused on being able to fulfil her dream.

Ten years later, Enlai is sailing the seas as a Marine Captain, turning down a promotion offer in favour of her freedom - as well as having less restrictions and responsibilities heaped upon her.


DREAM/MOTIVATION

Enlai's dream is to have a bookful (or more than one) of exotic creatures sketched down and catalogued, as there are many species of flora and fauna yet unrecorded in this world.

Appearance: Witt, standing at the height of 170cm and weighing 65kg, is of average height but gifted with a solid, lithely muscle build, the product of intensive training in speed and stamina-building rather than power. Like most of the people from his hometown, his hair is dark, a solid black. His shaggy hair is left to hang below his shoulder in an uneven cut, tied back in a low ponytail with a simple brown leather band, steel grey eyes almost always hidden behind a curtain of long, uneven fringe. That is, if the hat he is so proud of is not seated upon his head to push hair out of his eyes. His eyes are usually narrowed in concentration and never ceasing in their darting movements, as though there is a constant need to be alert, and there is a light crease between his brows despite his relatively young age due to frowning too much. His eyebrows are low and pinched, contributing further to his serious, no-nonsense look. Since he dislikes the feeling of scruff around his mouth and chin, he keeps himself cleanly-shaved so long as he can afford to do so. His thin, pale lips, straight nose and sharp jawline are directly inherited from his mother.

His preferences in day-to-day outfits lie in long-sleeved shirts and dark slacks, no matter the season. A long, double-breasted midnight blue coat is thrown over, typically unbuttoned. Well-worn brown hide boots complete the outfit. Witt has a small burn scar on his left collarbone where he burned off the tattoo of the World Government emblem after leaving Cipher Pol 9. It is mostly hidden beneath his shirt. He also has a silver stud earring with the Roman numeral "IX" in his right earlobe.

Relationships: He had a mother and a younger sibling when he was taken in by CP9. That was the last time he saw either of them. Witt has no clue if they are still alive.
Despite being branded a traitor, Witt still has fond memories and lingering affection for some members of the secret Cipher Pol division. But he's pretty sure all of them currently want him dead.
He has a scattering of acquaintances in the Four Blues, most of them brokers providing him with information to evade the World Government and the higher-ranking Marines.

Fighting Style: A former member of CP9, Witt is able to utilise all six forms of Rokushiki. However, his true mastery lies in Geppo, Soru and Shigan. Utilising his speed and agility to evade, advance or retreat, he prefers assassinating his target in one hit with Shigan. If that option is out, however, he will fall back and engage in long-mid range combat with his pistol. Only if he truly needs the punch will he use Armament Haki. He keeps that as the last trump card.

Current Career: Blacksmith + Bounty Hunter

Abilities:
1) Armament Haki: Able to cover his entire body in armament Haki so it acts as an armour. He cannot imbue his pistol with Haki though, or any other weapons, for that matter.
2) Observation Haki: He can 'see' life forms with it and use it to evade attacks in battle. He is not so proficient in its use yet to predict the opponent's movements more than one step ahead.
3) Rokushiki: His mastery lies in Geppo, Soru and Shigan. He is proficient in Rankyaku, mostly using his legs. His Kami-e techniques are limited to dodging out of the way and he doesn't exactly use Tekkai since he relies more on his Armament Haki.
4) Stealth: As a former assassin, he had learned how to suppress his killing intent even as he is going in for the kill. Of course, if one's Observation Haki is proficient enough, it doesn't work on them.

Devil Fruit: None and probably will never eat one.

Weapon: Just a flintlock pistol he modified so it can shoot six rounds like a revolver before needing to be reloaded. He carries a few different types of ammo, explosive, incinerary, acidic and standard.



PERSONALITY​

Since his early childhood, Witt was very independent and self-confident, often running away to do things on his own, at his own pace. Despite that, he is very perceptive and intuitive, which allowed him to garner the personalities of others through thorough observations. Hence, he knew how far he could push people close to him and how much they can take before they snapped, though he never did it with malicious intent. After his father's death, Witt, as the next eldest male of the family, became more restrained in his urge to do things his own way. Instead, he had to learn how to consider all options, and be able to take the best possible path even if it might be not to his liking.

From adolescence to adulthood, Witt has settled to typically portraying a relaxed and almost bored attitude, not prone to getting too worked up about anything or by anyone. However, in truth, he is a sensitive person that tries not to let his true feelings show. Most of the time he succeeds in reigning in his temper, but sometimes when it explodes, people are usually left wondering what disastrous thing occurred that was bad enough to anger him. For those that have spent a sufficient amount of time around Witt to witness both his temper and lax attitude, they firmly believe he suffers from severe mood swings.

However, being brought up into adulthood in an environment like CP9 where strength and potential means everything has ingrained in him a peculiarly skewed sense of familial bonds. He appreciates those who can stand him (and stand against him) and will eventually come to care for them as they spend more time together. Even if he may be enemies with them later on, he still regards them as friends, and will be sad if they met their end.

Although he is competitive, he is not a sore-loser and likes to play fair. Witt has a genuine respect for people who are good at their crafts, no matter if it lies in the field of physical strength or mind, for his own acquaintances possess a variety of experts in miscellaneous fields. In contrast, he dislikes lazy people or those who do things half-heartedly.

BIOGRAPHY​

Born on Draper Island in South Blue, Jones Witt is the older of two children to Jones Wiles and Willow. His father Wiles was a Captain in the Marines, and it's no surprise that the impressionable young kid who grew up listening to tales of heroism and valour of the Marines against scummy pirates idolised his father. Wiles never went against orders and believed the World Government and his Marine superiors always had the best interest in mind. His mother Willow was a simple housewife who had never set foot outside the Island. Hence, with no other prompted paths in mind, Witt's ambition was to join the Marines as soon as he was able to. Due to his persistence on being trained by his father, Wiles eventually relented, setting Witt on a daily routine of stamina-building exercise. As he inherited his mother's frame rather than his father's, Witt was recommended to take speed and agility over power.

Seven years passed and Witt's younger sibling was born. A month later, a Commodore came to their home to inform them of Wiles' unfortunate demise at the hands of a notorious pirate. Noting that Wiles was able to ascend to the rank of Captain with only his physical prowess and rigorous training, the Commodore offered Witt a place in the Marines when he was old enough. Hungry for revenge and with the thought of being able to hunt down pirates if he joined the Marines, the kid insisted on being enlisted, citing he received training from his father at a young age. Little did he know the Commodore was the head of Cipher Pol 9.

A series of string pullings, evading legal routes and bypassing authority, the Commodore fed his mother some line about Witt having enough potential to be recruited at a young age. They reassured a still-grieving widow that her son would not be put in danger from the start, that they will train him up to be just like his father. And, of course, he will be allowed to visit home on his days off. What truly happened was at age nine, the kid was shuffled into a secret division of Cipher Pol, CP9, erased from other Marine records so he didn't really exist within the Marine Corps, and put to train with other assassin-hopefuls. Not that the younger kids knew that yet.

The first two years in CP9, Witt dedicated time to write a letter home each month. But the letters he sent to his mother and sibling never reached them, and when he received nothing in return for two years, Witt just stopped bothering, thinking that his remaining family had long forgotten him. For seven years Witt lived as an assassin for the World Government, learning the fine art of weapon-making and repairs from the CP9's resident blacksmith Leo during his spare time.

Little by little, as he killed stranger after stranger - no more than a face and a name to him - Witt became more and more disillusioned with the World Government. He didn't dislike the Marines, though. As far as he was concerned, the Marines knew nothing about the assassin division. He still believed Justice needed to be upheld, but he didn't see how killing a noble here, a mayor there, the entire council on some distant land would bring peace and security to the citizens. He enlisted to hunt scums of the earth down, not be an instrument of political upheaval! But alas, it was too late to turn back now. Besides, none of his comrades thought they were doing anything disastrous. The World Government's word is law, after all.

The breaking point came when the Head of CP9 ordered the annihilation of an entire kingdom in the West Blue. Three assassins were sent to take out the royal family and anyone who shared their blood. That day, more than two hundred were slaughtered, houses burned and many more imprisoned. Witt left with the blood of a dozen children on his hands for the first time in his career. It had sickened him to see his fellow assassin indifferently slewing an infant in its crib when Witt had hesitated, for the baby reminded him of the sibling he had left behind.

His view of the World Government thoroughly shattered, Witt decided to leave. Of course, no one truly 'left' CP9. They either died or were killed. Witt knew this, but it was a gamble he took. The chance came on his next solo mission. He packed his meagre possessions and left, not looking back. When his assassin friends came after him demanding an explanation as to why he betrayed the World Government, Witt tried persuading them to see things his way, but failed spectacularly. Luckily, his attempt at escaping their clutches was more successful, allowing him to lose them with his life intact. it was no surprise the World Government put a rather hefty bounty on his head, seeing as he possessed crucial information they may damage their reputation if in the right hands.

From then on, he made it a priority to find out what happened to his family, for his old home on Draper Island was long since abandoned. Burning off the tattoo he got the moment he became an official member of CP9 all those years back, Witt began to shed his old identity bit by bit as he traversed across the Four Blues.

DREAM/MOTIVATION​

Witt's dream is to expose the corruption within the World Government, and hopefully be able to witness a change for the better. His motivational force driving him is the fact that his friends in CP9 are probably brainwashed, not being able to see what they are doing is wrong.

Hometown: A small village in East Blue

Personality:
Vaan, like his father before him, is an open and adventurous person. To him life is one large adventure and it only has real meaning if you let yourself into it. He is quite honest with his words and isn't afraid to speak his mind which may lead him into trouble on occasion. Still he is kind-hearted and is the type to bring hospitality to anyone in need. His welcoming attitude is open to anyone though that doesn't necessarily mean just anyone. Pirates and other criminals who go out of their way to harm those who have not done much wrong are those in Vaan's list of people to beat up. Despite the brash and bold attitude, he displays intellect when the situation calls for it. Slow to anger is one of his traits and it takes quite a bit for him to actually truly be angry.

Background:
As the son of a great adventurer, Vaan often listened to his father's stories about finding lost civilizations, treasures and fighting off against many dangerous men. These stories were what inspired him to train hard so that he could also go on his own adventures. As such he would often play with the other children and lead them towards the forest. Of course he would often come across dangerous animals and much of the children were usually dragged along for the wild rides. Sure he would get scolded by his village elder but it didn't dissuade him one bit.

One day a group of bandits had arrived in order to pillage his little village. These bandits had caused damage to the poor folk as well as destroying a bit of property. With his father and most of the men out to collect game and fish, Vaan was determined to protect everyone. He did his best to fight but he was no match for any of them. Just when he was about to be killed, his father had arrived and defeated all of them without too much effort. This very incident had furthered his motivation to become stronger so that he can set out to sea. It also was the reason why he would beat up anyone who would do wrong to those who don't deserve it.

Years later, Vaan would set on out on his journey. His father would give him a large grin as he told him to seek out his journey and come back with just as many stories as he. With encourage from his family and the rest of the village, he set out on his adventure.

Abilities:
  • Vector Style: Vaan's original fighting style. By making use of direction, magnitude and weight, Vaan strikes with full force on every strike. Changing trajectory mid-attack, direction, force applied, and etc allow him to deliver all sorts of blows to his opponents.
  • Cartography: Taught by his father, Vaan is skilled in navigation and in map-reading. This also allows him to take safer paths along his journey in order to avoid an unfortunate end out at sea.

Equipment:
  • Twin Small Hammers - These are Vaan's signature weapon. Using his Vector Style, he fights using brunt force while maintaining balance and sleight of hand.
  • Backpack - It contains simple medical supplies and other tools needed for basic survival.
  • Small ship - A ship given to him by the local shipwright. It's generally only fit for about 1-3 people but it would help serve as his mode of transportation across the land.

Appearance: Ian has shoulder length brown hair, which is pushed back to keep it from getting in his eyes. His eyes are a deep, rich brown, and he has a horizontal scar running under his right eye. Clean shaven, he has dark circles under his eyes, leaving him always looking sort of tired. While his muscles are defined, he still remains on the skinny side.

Personality: Being raised on a pirate ship had a unique effect on Ian. His life was geared around violence and customer service in equal measure, leaving him with a complex and multilayered personality. At his core, Ian is very calm and collected despite his love for letting loose when alcohol is involved. He is very dedicated when it comes to cooking, and wasting food is seen as a terrible offense in his eyes. He enjoys naps, and can sleep for upwards of 17 hours if left unattended. Ian cares little for impressing people when outside of a restaurant setting and is not afraid to instigate fights if the situation calls for it. However, when serving a customer, Ian adopts a "customer is king" mindset.

Background: Ian Roker is the nephew of the Shichibukai Edward "The Gourmet Pirate" Roker. Some may think being raised by one of the Seven Warlords would make for an easy life free from worry, but the opposite was the truth. Ever since he was a child, Ian was taught the ways of the world as he sailed in his uncle's ship, "The Grand." As his uncle was notorious for his piracy prowess and his cooking skills in equal measure, Ian grew up with a chef's knife in one hand and a wooden spoon in the other. His Devil Fruit was a gift from Edward, who hopes that his nephew will one day will achieve greatness. Ian has great potential, but his journey is only beginning.
Abilities:
  1. Martial Arts Training -- Thanks to Edward's teachings, Ian is very proficient at direct, hand-to-hand combat.
  2. Cooking -- Ian is a fantastic chef.
  3. Weapons Training -- Along with fighting with his fists, he is able to use several varieties of melee weapons, and uses his Devil Fruit power to create them.
  4. While Ian may not be able to draw maps or do complex mathematics, he is very intelligent and pragmatic when it comes to business situations, negotiations, and combat.

Devil Fruit: Reisu Reisu No Mi (Wraith-Wraith Fruit) -- A Logia type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create, control, and transform into an energized, ethereal, pink mist. This mist can be condensed into solid constructs such as blades or bullets and are extremely hot to the touch, save for when coming into contact with the user. If the energized mist is condensed tightly enough into a concentrated area, the resulting energy may create an explosion. Transforming into the pink mist grants him the abilities of flight and intangibility. Of course, being a Devil Fruit user subjects him to all standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.

Personality: Edward is a calm and collected man with little tolerance for foolishness or wasteful behavior. He is wealthy, powerful, and his name carries great weight. He is well aware of that fact, and is not afraid to demonstrate his power to those who disrespect him. That said, he is an extremely dedicated man to both his cooking and his family. Should anyone threaten the lives of those he cares about, he will not hesitate to string them up and use them as examples to anyone else who may attempt to do the same. Wasting food will cause him to fly into a rage, especially if it is food he himself prepared.

Edward has a reputation for treating any enemies foolish enough to attack his ship directly to a "last meal." The few survivors have all reported that it was one of the best meals they had ever eaten in their lives.

Background: Edward left his home in hopes of becoming strong enough to protect his frail sister. For years he trained in the ways of combat and Haki before eventually finding his Devil Fruit. Once he had heard that his sister had given birth, he immediately offered to take the child under his wing and teach him how to defend himself. His sister currently lives in a small, unmarked fishing village in East Blue, safe from harm. He currently searches the Grand Line for adventure, challenge, and the opportunity to gain more power. More to be uncovered as the story progresses.

Abilities:
  1. Cooking -- Many consider him to be the best chef in the world.
  2. Martial Arts -- Even before he had his Devil Fruit, Edward Roker was feared by many, his strength rumored to be on par with an entire naval fleet.
  3. Armament Haki -- He is able to lace his talons with Haki, leaving him as a massive threat to even Logia users.
  4. Weapon Mastery -- Edward is extremely capable with many types of melee weapons, his specialty being one-handed blades.

Equipment: He regularly carries a steel file on him to maintain his incredibly hard, talon-like nails. He also carries a powerful sword made of pure silver.

Devil Fruit: Batto Batto no Mi, Model: Vampire -- A Zoan type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform either partially or entirely into a vampiric monster. This also allows flight, the ability to create a shroud to cloak himself, and the ability to teleport short distances by bursting into a red mist. Other abilities include his razor sharp talons, night vision, advanced senses, superhuman strength, and the ability to regenerate by absorbing the life force of others. Healing wounds is easy with his absorption ability, but absorbing energy from victims also allows him to remain young as long as he can consistently feed. Other than standard Devil Fruit weaknesses, Edward's vampiric abilities are severely hindered when exposed to direct sunlight.

Hometown: Less of an actual town, and more of a remote island in the West Blue where his somewhat humble house is pretty much the only sign of any civilization.

Personality: Neil is a... very strange person to say the least. His personality tends to turn on a dime, going from a somewhat jovial, optimistic and friendly attitude to a frenzied rage to a hopeless romantic to a stupidly brave risk taker in an instant, and as such it is definitely not a good idea to egg him on or purposefully annoy him. He values one trait over all else, and that is perseverance. Nothing angers him more than someone willing to give up easily. He despises the marines, to the point where his one goal in life is to make sure that every single last marine is dead. He's got a bit of an obsession with collecting things from marines or pirates that he kills.

Background: Neil is the son of a famous 'retired' pirate with the tenth highest bounty in recorded history, who died at the was hunted down and killed by marines, despite having been retired for about a year. So, once he got older, he got together most of his father's old crew members, tracked down his father's old ship, and started his own pirate crew with the specific purpose of giving a big old screw you to the marines and causing as much trouble for them as possible, hopefully making some money along the way doing a bit of good ol' looting and pillaging. As can be easily judged by his high bounty, he's been quite successful at doing so, even having stormed two Marine Bases with his crew in what can only be considered horrifying massacres. He may be somewhat young compared to most infamous captains, but he should never be underestimated.

Abilities:
Incredible Agility: Neil may not be the strongest out there physically, but he makes up for that by being damned hard to hit even when not using his devil fruit's powers.

Sound Seeking: Also pretty much what it sounds like, Neil is quite skilled when it comes to figuring out locations of objects simply through the sounds they produce, a skill his father taught him before his passing.

Equipment:
A cutlass with a seastone blade that he... appropriated... from a marine captain, with a little bit of help of course.

Devil Fruit:
Kumo Kumo no mi - Cloud Cloud Fruit: A Logia type devil fruit that allows the user to turn their body into a cloud like material which grants them the capability of flight. The user can move clouds, as well as create weather in any way they wish, such as producing unbearable blizzards, targeted lightning strikes, deadly hailstorms, highly corrosive acid rain, fog thick and hot enough to easily suffocate someone, flash floods, or just regular old rain and snow either through either their own body or through nearby clouds. While in their cloud form the user of this devil fruit can easily be blown away by strong gusts of wind.

Hometown: Doesn't remember, though he considers Toroa his hometown because it's the first place he remembers.

Personality: Pascal Smith is that one person who just seems to lurk around never saying anything unless asked for input. While he is a somewhat loyal and trustworthy individual, he'd be more than willing to betray his other crew members for the right price.. Despite his usually silent and serious seeming demeanor he has a tendency to play mildly cruel pranks on his own teammates for fun. In a serious fight he's likely to throw absolutely everything he has at his enemies in order to ensure that they don't walk out of a fight alive, or at least not without some grievous bodily harm. The main reason he's even sticking with Neil Delfon's crew is for the specific purpose of helping to drive Neil's bounty up higher and higher, hoping to cash in on that bounty eventually.

Background: Pretty much nobody knows anything about Pascal Smith's past before the age of eighteen, not even Pascal himself. All Pascal knows is that he ended up washing ashore on Toroa one day, incredibly battered and bruised from what was most likely a fight, with his clothes covered in blood stains that were most likely not his considering they didn't match the location of any of his injuries. Pascal currently assumes it was likely a fight with a devil fruit user that somehow managed to steal his memories, and considering the blood stained clothing assumes he won said fight. At the age of twenty Pascal made a bit of a name for himself as one of the best bounty hunters in the West Blue, and after an incredibly long and arduous fight Neil Delfon managed to convince him to join his crew, with the promise of more riches than he could possibly fathom. Since then Pascal has been a member of Neil's crew and has managed to rack up quite the bounty for himself over the past two years.

Abilities:
Incredible Marksmanship: Seriously, his skill and accuracy with nearly any ranged weaponry is almost inhuman, and he rarely ever misses a shot.

Master of Surprise: What it says on the tin really, he's great at coming up with ways to get his enemies off guard.

Equipment:
A fairly basic rifle, modified to be quicker and easier to reload and to be better at shooting from long distances. Simple but effective.

His personality tends to turn on a dime, going from a somewhat jovial, optimistic and friendly attitude to a frenzied rage to a hopeless romantic to a stupidly brave risk taker in an instant, and as such it is definitely not a good idea to egg him on or purposefully annoy him. He values one trait over all else, and that is perseverance. Nothing angers him more than someone willing to give up easily. He despises the marines, to the point where his one goal in life is to make sure that every single last marine is dead. He's got a bit of an obsession with collecting things from marines or pirates that he kills.

Background: Neil is the son of a famous 'retired' pirate with the tenth highest bounty in recorded history, who died at the was hunted down and killed by marines, despite having been retired for about a year. So, once he got older, he got together most of his father's old crew members, tracked down his father's old ship, and started his own pirate crew with the specific purpose of giving a big old screw you to the marines and causing as much trouble for them as possible, hopefully making some money along the way doing a bit of good ol' looting and pillaging. As can be easily judged by his high bounty, he's been quite successful at doing so, even having stormed two Marine Bases with his crew in what can only be considered horrifying massacres. He may be somewhat young compared to most infamous captains, but he should never be underestimated.

Abilities:
Incredible Agility: Neil may not be the strongest out there physically, but he makes up for that by being damned hard to hit even when not using his devil fruit's powers.

Sound Seeking: Also pretty much what it sounds like, Neil is quite skilled when it comes to figuring out locations of objects simply through the sounds they produce, a skill his father taught him before his passing.

The main reason he's even sticking with Neil Delfon's crew is for the specific purpose of helping to drive Neil's bounty up higher and higher, hoping to cash in on that bounty eventually.

Background: Pretty much nobody knows anything about Pascal Smith's past before the age of eighteen, not even Pascal himself. All Pascal knows is that he ended up washing ashore on Toroa one day, incredibly battered and bruised from what was most likely a fight, with his clothes covered in blood stains that were most likely not his considering they didn't match the location of any of his injuries. Pascal currently assumes it was likely a fight with a devil fruit user that somehow managed to steal his memories, and considering the blood stained clothing assumes he won said fight. At the age of twenty Pascal made a bit of a name for himself as one of the best bounty hunters in the West Blue, and after an incredibly long and arduous fight Neil Delfon managed to convince him to join his crew, with the promise of more riches than he could possibly fathom. Since then Pascal has been a member of Neil's crew and has managed to rack up quite the bounty for himself over the past two years.

The CS looks good though I am particularly wondering about her sword. I know that there are inanimate objects that have "eaten" devil fruits, which were all Zoan type. Now considering that there isn't much known information about it, I'm not really sure if the sword can "eat" Paramecia or Logia-type and gain it's ability. It's a weird situation that I never thought would've occurred. I guess the sword is imbued with this property, which would make sense if I think about it in an elemental sword sense. But then the problem lies in how an inanimate object "controls" non-zoan abilities if it doesn't have a mind of it's own. So that's the big elephant in the room for me. Besides that I feel like the abilities are a little barebones. I mean it's not something I'd disapprove a CS for but I was wondering if she knows like Armament Haki or other interesting skills. That's just a minor thing though nothing really too important.

Seeing as he was covered in wounds and in agony, Sariah treated him with the medicinal plants in the place, and managed to stabilize him. The stranger looked at her in awe and took on the offer, and after hearing where he was he started laughing, claiming he was amazed at how far off his destination he had gotten.
Sariah asked if he wanted her to take him to the town, and after he refused, she agreed to meet him there the following day. When she came back, she finally asked who he was, and he introduced himself as 'Martin The Stone', a famous pirate, who she had heard about from many of the travellers in her inn. Far from getting afraid, she excitedly asked him to tell her stories about his travels and adventures, and he did so with joy. Martin and Sariah developed an unlikely friendship, and she would ofteb visit him in the forest. He would tell her new stories and, after seeing how capable she was, he started training her in hand-to-hand combat and armament haki. She show proficiency in them both right away, and after they grew closer he told her that his ship had been completely wrecked by the marines, and that he needed another one. She absolutely forbade him from stealing one from the docks, so he proposed they built one from the trees in the woods. Luckily, he was an expert carpenter native from Water 7, and they started the hard labor right away. It took them exactly two years to finish it with just the two of them, with training sessions and fun mixed in the middle of it, but by the time they were done she was as much of an expert at ship-making as him, and so much stronger than she thought she could get.
Although it saddened them both, Martin left as soon as the ship was good to go, making Sariah promise that they would meet again after she'd set sail to get her own adventures and comrades.
And so, paying little attention to her parents' warnings and absolute disapproval, she left their plentiful island, looking for adventure.

Personality: At first glance, Lars appears stoic and emotionless, to say the least. In truth, his grim exterior is merely a facade, meant only to give the impression that he knows what he's doing. Because he really doesn't. He has yet to learn all the ins and outs of being a pirate, and as such, suffers from a slight lack of self-confidence. He remains optimistic, though, that he'll overcome his lack of experience and become a great pirate. He has a bit of an addiction to sweet drinks, and gets incredibly nervous around pretty women.
Background: Lars was born the son of Ingela Gatlingheim, a female pirate who enjoyed a certain degree of celebrity around West Den and the surrounding towns. However, an injury she sustained during a raid led to her disbanding her crew and hanging up her pirate hat for good. When Lars failed to convince her to take up her mantle again, Ingela told him that he should become a pirate instead, and keep her legacy alive.
With his mother's coat on his back, Lars took on the role of a pirate, and proceeded to try and get the attention of the World Government. He did, but only through performing petty crimes. Honestly, the 50 Berry bounty that the Marines gave him was probably out of pity more than anything. It was at this point that Lars acknowledged that he had absolutely no idea how to really be a pirate on the grand scale, so he left West Den in a dinghy ship called the Stacker Pentecost in a quest to gain pirating experience.
He hasn't gotten far yet, but has managed to increase his bounty to 200 Berry.

HOW IT WORKS- Lars slaps an object or person with his flattened hand. When he removes his hand, he leaves on that object or person a black handprint that he can sense and, to a degree, control from a distance. He can create multiple handprints at a time. This ability is useful for tracking. As of now, he can only sense and control handprints he makes if the object or person he slapped is on the same island as he is.
Bounty: 200 Berry. Nothing too noteworthy just yet.
Extra: He operates under his mother's flag, and is hunting for crewmates. Preferably ones with experience, but he'll take what he can get.

Personality: At first glance, Lars appears stoic and emotionless, to say the least. In truth, his grim exterior is merely a facade, meant only to give the impression that he knows what he's doing. Because he really doesn't. He has yet to learn all the ins and outs of being a pirate, and as such, suffers from a slight lack of self-confidence. He remains optimistic, though, that he'll overcome his lack of experience and become a great pirate. He has a bit of an addiction to sweet drinks, and gets incredibly nervous around pretty women.
Background: Lars was born the son of Ingela Gatlingheim, a female pirate who enjoyed a certain degree of celebrity around West Den and the surrounding towns. However, an injury she sustained during a raid led to her disbanding her crew and hanging up her pirate hat for good. When Lars failed to convince her to take up her mantle again, Ingela told him that he should become a pirate instead, and keep her legacy alive.
With his mother's coat on his back, Lars took on the role of a pirate, and proceeded to try and get the attention of the World Government. He did, but only through performing petty crimes. Honestly, the 50 Berry bounty that the Marines gave him was probably out of pity more than anything. It was at this point that Lars acknowledged that he had absolutely no idea how to really be a pirate on the grand scale, so he left West Den in a dinghy ship called the Stacker Pentecost in a quest to gain pirating experience.
He hasn't gotten far yet, but has managed to increase his bounty to 200 Berry.

  • Marksmanship- Lars is a very good shot with his flintlock guns, even without fancy Observation Haki. Not a perfect shot, mind you.

Bin would never pick a fight she was certain she couldn't win.

Background:
Born in the South Blue, Bin lived on an island relatively close to Karate island. So, it wouldn't be odd for martial arts and physical fitness to be a large presence in the inhabitants' lives. Travelling to Karate island was actually a common tradition amongst the more fanatic denizens of the island. Bin's great-grandfather was one of these denizens, going to Karate island to master and refine his own technique. Once accomplished, he went back to his home and started to teach. It became an immediate success among the people who couldn't make the trip. Time went on and eventually, Bin was destined to succeed her father who learned from his father who then learned from his father.

She had complete faith in her abilities and technique. She believed no one could beat her, not even her childhood friend. In just a few months, the young woman would stand above those around her and lead them to a better way, her way. Until a rowdy bunch of pirates came to her town and caused a commotion. She along with her childhood friend and father were called to deal with them. It was safe to say Bin and co. were swiftly defeated by the pirate crew. She was completely overwhelmed and humiliated by the pirate captain, a logia devil fruit user. Her village was left ransacked, and her dreams left in dashes. How could she proudly teach her craft if she couldn't defeat a bunch of pathetic thugs? Only after redeeming herself could she revive that dream. So, she left on a journey with her childhood friend to defeat all devil fruit users.

But, Ryden's parents accepted the offer, given the fact that his father was a former swordsman, and also in one condition, when Ryden is finally at the age of 14. Once every night, the samurai and Ryden will train, where no people would see them. After a few years of hardwork, bloody training and exercise, Ryden finally learns Niten Ichiryu. After that, the samurai gave Ryden the kingdom's coordinates and his name, and he has been keeping it ever since. But, the samurai already had left him to wait for him in the kingdom.

On those years, he build up pride that he'll be the best swordsman in the world, and his personality changed, as if he was a samurai for real. He did not want a topknot, though. He also dreamed to sail on the sea, exploring what they call Paradise, the first half of Grand Line. It won't be an easy trip, even though the Red Line is only a few hours away from their island by the boat. Time came, and Ryden finally had the courage to sail the sea. His father gave him two swords, one that is made of metal and one that is made of sea prism stone. It is perfect for him, and it just made him more fired up to explore the sea. And so, Ryden has been exploring all by himself, hunting pirates and taking their bounties. He isn't a bounty hunter, though.

He was naturally skilled, he learned the ways of the sword very quickly, so much so that it was said that he was blessed by god. He moved up the ranks in his training as a child very quickly, learning how to use two sword style at a very young age. by the age of 15 he was already a part of the samurai army and was charged with defending the Wado country. He fought in countless battles and hardly ever was defeated in combat.

At the age of 19 he was banished from the wado country under mysterious circumstances and he went to Paradise, the first half of the grand line. He joined with the pirate crew of Bella Thatch and became her first mate. He had been mistaken for the captain of the ship several times during the beginning of their journey together, having a higher bounty than his captain did, but that mistake was soon fixed after her bounty was raised to 100,000,000.
