i'm looking for a few new role plays, preferably of the modern persuasion as the title suggests.
a little about me //
i'm a 24 year old from the united states.
i work full-time in manual labor, have my own place with my boyfriend, and a pretty normal life all around. i'm a police academy cadet who hopes to one day become a narcotics detective. i like to write, weight-lift, shoot guns, run, bake, read... a whole plethora of things. i'm a pretty friendly person and i'm sure we'll get along just fine.
role play guidelines //
i only really role play ( m + f ) as far as pairings go.
gender-wise, i could play either/or but i'm most accustomed to playing a male character.
i like details, i like quality posts, i write back in the manner that i receive messages.
i have no limits that i can think of to list.
i have absolutely no problem starting.

cravings //
bride-to-be + groom's brother
their relationship seemed idyllic at first. they clicked on a certain level, they went out and did things regularly together, everything seemed to be falling into place perfectly. it only seemed natural that upon the man's marriage proposal, his girlfriend would accept--and she did. things began to change however. as the woman went about wedding preparations, she found herself alone more and more. her fiancé was a businessman in the bustling city and his schedule was becoming increasingly inflexible to her. appointments for hall rentals and cake tastings left her on her own. he was never around. her birthday comes and, despite his constant assurance that he would be there, he is not. at the last minute, he dropped everything to board a plane for an important meeting, abandoning her on one of the most important days of the year. of all things, he calls up his younger brother--the very brother with whom he keeps little to no contact with--and begs him to take the woman out to dinner. he thinks it's going to remedy things, to cheer her up, but instead, it sparks something much different.
famous + average
they grew up together in a poor, urban neighborhood. the little boy and the little girl lived across the street from one another, meeting one summer day at a young age as the neighborhood kids ran about. their friendship became an inseparable thing. years were spent together as the best of friends until adulthood came and snatched those very things away. she went her own way and he went his. she ultimately went on to become the newest, biggest face in hollywood while he stayed behind working a blue-collar job in their native city. when one of her events brings her back home, the young man is there providing security when it just so happens that their paths cross.
i'm more than willing to hear any suggestions/ideas/cravings that you have yourself. don't be shy.
