THE CALM, THE BEGINNING OF THE END
A deep sleepy calm washes over the small city of Lorbridge. It sweeps through the streets, under warm yellow street light as a soft dusting of fresh snow covers the sidewalks. The people breath softly going about their lives not knowing what makes their city so beautifully hushed. Throughout Lorbridge Penumbra appear in vast numbers, converging on the city like moths to a flame. The Le Veneur call this time The Calm, a period when Penumbra are plentiful and the money making is good, but this time brings with it a danger the Le Veneur Council fears.
Legend speaks of a half penumbra and half human being that if left uncontained my rip apart the barriers between the realm of the shadow creatures and our world. The Le Veneur Council has been tracking one young girl they believe to be this entity and have assigned a team of young Le Veneur with the task of keeping her in check. This Calm is a fearful time and the Le Veneur Council wish for it to go smoothly.
