I'm going to wait a day or two more, but worst comes to worst I can fill in the rest of the character spaces that are actually needed! So we'll start pretty soon, but not right away.

Yep! The OOC is more of just a preparation for now, I suppose. We'll be able to start either way with the people we have, but it'd be nice to have a few more, so keeping this bumped is a stellar plan.

He is ALL about that. In fact he'll beg travellers for that like a kid more than supplies. He is trying to catalogue the world and gather stories from travellers to create an encyclopedia of the world that will be soon forgotten. His lighthouse is basically a miniature museum, and of course boooks!

Yea! I'll be posting my own characters in the signups in a moment. The OOC is up and linked now in the starting post of this thread! It says 'for when you signup' but honestly y'all can just post in there now, it's no huge deal.

Maybe this is a bit unorthodox and I know it's just because I'm eager to roleplay but... would there be a way to setup a place to do a prequel/off-shoot RP where we can roleplay without our character sheets being approved and with some kind of theme just to break the ice and get to know each other and our characters better? Or is all of this just too far off the spectrum? As I tend to be sometimes lol

elytra Well... I was thinking same characters but a non-cannon event. Just something for our characters to talk to one another and see where the dynamic would lay.

You can simply use the "Other" roleplay tab for a pre-canon IC if you want. Or just have it set up under the "Main" tab and then just swap it around once you want to get into the meat of the RP. As long as it's posted in the IC area (as it is still roleplay using characters) it's fine and you can have up to 5 tabbed threads so you can connect them in some way.

I'm especially interested in being a Lighthouse Keeper or a Scavenger but I'd like to know about the availability of those positions before I really hammer out a character for you to approve, just in case. Also, I'm still a fresh faced recruit as far as RP goes, but I would love to give this a shot. Would there be any issues with me joining, taking into account my inexperience?

No issues with you joining, we all need to start somewhere, and this is all in good fun, right?

Anyway, availability wise, we do have someone taking up the position of lighthouse keeper later this week. There is one other spot open for that specific character role, but if you'd like to take it, I'd suggest talking with Dreamtique about whether or not they want their character completely isolated, or isolated with the addition of you character. If you'd both prefer completely isolated, I'm sure I can work something out.

As for scavengers, there's plenty of spaces open! The scavengers can either start on the market place ship or in the scavenger ship, and with that particular character role, I'm a lot more lenient, so if you want to get your own small scavenger ship for your character to be on, that's fine so long as they reach the lighthouse area before the first event. :"^) If thats confusing I'm sorry I'm typing this up real quick and I'd be happy to clarify any of my ramblings.
