Yandere game!
"To waves and clouds the ocean dances
And miles away from home I stand,
Where sun comes forth from both horizons;
Where I'd just wish to hold your hand.
And silence weighs as distance pains in letters I decipher,
As time has split what once, as it, came daily and daily after.
To waves and clouds the ocean dances,
As breeze and moonlight kiss the land,
Where foam above the waters prances,
Where algae hugs the pale, white sands. "
Hello!
I am Rhakun. I've been in this forum for quite a while and I've always wanted to GM a game. I had a long frozen ongoing project of doing a Yandere Roleplay where players had to balance a school life at the same time an undergoing mystery for them to solve was around! This summer, it comes to reality in the form of "Of Azaleas and Drizzle." This game is a turn-based, Mafia inspired boarding-school life thriller with GM participation in which NPCs will play a significant role, and mystery will surround every character that participates.
What's a good background to come in?
Asides good grammar and understanding the rules, it's open! This game is meant to be dynamic and interactive: people with a creative block, RP younglings or players with tight agenda can find this very beneficial. Nevertheless, that isn't to say that pros are encouraged to make their posts as lengthy as they like. Detailed entries will improve the general experience (and might serve to drive the plot in interesting directions, who knows?) and thus players are encouraged to make them with all the luxury they want to. I personally like that, and would be happy to see it here.
It is important to add that this game might deal with sensitive topics (murder, depression, etc.) that are relative to its ambiance, but may be a little harsh to some users. It is thus important to note that it advertised to a sensible audience. Players who desire to join "Of Azaleas and Drizzle" should come in at their discretion and, of course, keep the roleplay in accordance to RPNation's Community Guidelines.
What should a player expect from the game?
There are three things you need to mind of the experience:
-Your characters can die, so you gotta be careful!
-Certain interactions like fights and luck throws (under commentary of the GM) will be sorted by RNG. For increased transparency, these will be handled by NadekoBot in a Discord server designated to this roleplay's end.
-Turn updates, 'Chapters,' will come either weekly or biweekly. If for any one reason a player falls behind, their character will be taken over by the GM, who will mediate interactions to place them in NPC status until their authors return.
If all this seems okay to you, and you're interested in the idea, the doors of King Edward's School at Witley are open to you!
Question is, will you leave?
