Lucius is also a martyr to his kind, and so he takes the wrongs and burdens of his people into himself. He carries the burdens of humanity on his shoulders heavily, and yet, he continues on with his desires to heal all wrongs and avenge all evils he perceives committed by humanity.
Lucius is very compassionate in private, and he spends much of his time caring for his family of angels and misfits. When Lucius is dealing with the outside world, he is reserved, cool, and sometimes cruel. He finds that compassion is a weakness when dealing with certain types, and he squelches it out to make business more profitable.

When God created Michael and Beezlebub, Lucifer's first seeds of dissension were planted for he fell in love as soon as Beezlebub opened his lavender eyes. As Lucifer grew to fall in love with his companion, Michael grew increasingly angry, even going so far as to threaten to tell God about Lucifer's obsession with his brother.
Lucifer, finally tired of being singularly obedient, took Beezlebub's virginity in the cove of flowers where the two would sit for hours and talk, shamelessly showing the younger angel what it meant to be an object of someone's burning desires. Michael was enraged that his brother was tainted, and he finally took the secret of Lucifer to God, beginning the fall of a third of the Heavenly Host.
Lucifer hated his father for forbidding true love in Heaven, naming it sinful. Lucifer's pride would not allow him to let go of Free Will, and he fought for it for millennium while Beezlebub helplessly watched from the protective anger of his brother's wings. When God finally got his hands on Lucifer, he didn't rip his wings from his back or seal his powers away. Instead, he tied him to the wood of a cypress and staked him in the middle of the Lake of Fire to burn for eternity while he healed himself over and over and burned again. Lucifer burned for thousands of our years before Beezlebub was able to escape the confines of his brother's grasp.
Beezlebub ended the conflict once and for all when he waded into the fire, willingly for love. He covered Lucifer's body with his own, covering him from the fire. It was this sacrifice that finally broke the last thread of holiness in Lucifer, giving way to hatred. His beloved suffered willingly, burning his skin, his wings, and all without the healing ability of the High Host. Lucifer cried out in hatred to God for making his lover suffer, and so he was cast out of Heaven into the empty depths of the yet not created Earth to wander until light came for the humans.
