A collection where I'll stick all the Bio's for my OC's that I wind up using on here. Some are fandom based (such as fantrolls) while others are not. It's just a place where I can get my thoughts in order and have references to look back on. I'm new to this site so I don't quite know how everything works but I'd appreciate it if no one else comment on this, thanks!

Basics

Name: Aisling Lynn Grace (Ash-ling) Aisling means Dream, or Vision

Nickname: Ais (ash) / Shortcake

Age: 19

Date of Birth: November 27, 1998

Place of Birth: Vancouver Hospital

Gender: Female

Race/Species: Human

Language(s): English / some Sindarin since she's a fucking nerd / and select words in Gaelic, a language her mother spoke.

Physical Description

Height: 5, 2

Weight: 126

Eyes: Deep purple, with lighter flecks mixed in. It was a mutation from her fathers side of the family, and is really the only physical attribute she has in common with him.

Hair: Carrot-orange, often reaching mid-shoulder blade. Sometimes tied back in high ponytails or buns, or more often than not a headband is used to keep her bangs away from her face.

Skin: Pale, with many freckles dotting her face and shoulders.

Physical Description: Aisling is a short woman, but makes up for her size in spunk. She has straight-ish ginger hair which goes down to mid-back and can be spotted from across a room. She's more curvy than skinny, and has had some self-image issues in the past. Her skin is very pale, and burns easily. She's coated in dozens and dozens of freckles, and though she doesn't really like them she makes no move to try and cover them up. With that, she typically doesn't wear any makeup. Not that she can't or dislikes it, but is rather too lazy to get up early to put it on and maintain it throughout the day. Strength wise she is about average, but stronger than most considering she works with metals and machinery. Her nails are clipped short because of this, and her hands are usually dirty and calloused with oil and mechanical grease beneath her nails. Other than that she keeps herself fairly clean, and usually smells like strawberries because of her shampoo.

Typical Clothing: It depends. While she prefers more basic clothing, her favorite color is blue. She's often seen in a T-shirt with jeans or sweatpants on depending on what day of the week it is. She can dress up fancy if she wants too, but dislikes the limitations that dresses and skirts give her so she usually just sticks with pants.

Equipment: Often a screwdriver or wrench. In the case of weaponry she usually carries a bo staff or bow, but carries around a Swiss army knife for every day convenience.

Personality/Attributes

Personality/Attitude: Spunky would be one word to describe her. Aisling can be headstrong and stubborn, a combined trait from her mother and father. Though she's patient, when the right buttons are pushed she tends to explode at people. Though her outbursts are often cause of extreme emotion, and tears are common with these flip outs. However she's more manipulative then destructive, and prefers to tear people down with venomous words than fists. Despite this she's very analytical, and tends to take things from an equal and scientific point of view. She's not especially religious, and is very logical. She also has anxiety issues from her past. Her father was an alcoholic and to put it simply was not a nice man. Her mother kicked him out when she was 6, and though the scars have healed she still has a few choice things that will set her off. Anxiety attacks are common in times of stress, but she can normally hold them off and block out the emotions long enough for herself to get out of a situation and breakdown in another room away from other people. She's also snarky and sarcastic, and has a good sense of humor. Though her humor is sometimes poorly timed, she typically tries to use it as a way to break tension in uncomfortable/dangerous situations.

Talents/Skills: Aisling is incredibly skilled with robotics. Her mother was a prosthetic technician, who worked building robotic prosthetic limbs for amputees. Taking after her mother, Aisling is very skilled with technology. She's good at building, dismantling, coding, and planning anything related to robotics or technology. Because of this she's very good at math, and can get pretty much anything that runs on electricity to work if she has the right tools to tinker around with it.

Favorites/Likes: Cats, snakes, drawing, LOTR/Tolkien, robotics, tinkering with things/household appliances, fencing

Most Hated/Dislikes: Fruitcake, her father, spiders (huuuge arachnophobe)

Strengths: Her confident and stubborn attitude can keep her calm through tough situations, but only just.

Weaknesses: When someone she cares about is hurt, she tends to overreact. Either in fear and nervousness, or anger and will lash out at those around her even if they're not at fault.

Fears: She is terrified of spiders, and anything that could take away the few family members she has left.

Hobbies/Interests: Robotics and drawing. She also loves any work by J.R.R. Tolkien, and will rant about certain topics for hours on end. She is also an experienced fencer, and did a few competitions in her childhood.

Sexual Preferences: Straight.

Place/Type of Residence: Still with her mom, but is planning on getting her own apartment or house.

Occupation: Robotics expert. (just kidding, she works at a Denny's because she doesn't have a degree yet ;P)

Family/Friends/Pets/etc -

• Willow Grace: Her mother, and the one who raised her for her entire life. She's very close with her mom, and is extremely protective of anyone who tries to mess with her. Willow can definitely hold her own though, and is very tall. She has long, thigh-length ginger curls and very striking green eyes. She's very professional and elegant, but god help anyone who manages to piss her off.
• Marcus Lundgred: Her father. An alcoholic asshole with Icelandic background. He's blond, and the effects of his alcohol addiction have started to wear on his looks. Aisling got her eyes from him, and other than that takes after her mother. Willow kicked him out of the house when Aisling was six, and they haven't seen each other since.
• Bain Grace: Aisling's older brother by six years. He ran away when she was a baby, and though Willow searched tirelessly for him they never found him. He's tall, ginger, and has his mothers eyes. He has OCD, and growing up on the street smokes pot like there's no tomorrow. While he smokes, and occasionally takes shrooms he's done nothing harder. He's a talented violinist, and would be quite the prodigy if not for his living situation. Aisling does not know about him. Willow by now assumes he's dead, and it hurts her severely to talk about it. Bain has considered coming home, but does not want to look Marcus in the face ever again and assumes by now he's probably killed his mother and baby sister.
• Dean Grace: Aisling's cousin, he's older than Aisling by 4 years. A grouch, to put it simply, but he has a deep-seated soft spot for animals. He's blond with blue eyes, taking after his mother but is tall and strong like his father. He's suspicious and slow to gain trust, but cares deeply for the people he's close to and will do anything he can to protect them.

Eyes: A striking green in color, very intense.

Hair: Carrot-orange, it goes down to her thighs. Most of the time she has it straightened and pulled back into a bun, but when it's not it's a huge mass of curls.

Skin: Pale, with many freckles dotting her face and shoulders.

Physical Description: Willow is a tall, elegant woman. She has an air of intelligence surrounding her, and it's almost intimidating when she walks into a room. She's on the thinner side, and has larger hips than bust giving her a sort of pear-shaped body type. When she talks her voice is thick with a delicious Scottish accent. Despite this she's very tough and resilient. She is a woman who will take no shit- and is not afraid to tell someone off when they get on her nerves. While calm and dignified most of the time, she's feared by everyone when she's angry. She sometimes wears makeup, though not often for the same reasons as her daughter. She works with machinery, though specializes in the medical field and builds robotic prosthetic limbs for amputees. Because of this her nails are cut short, but her hands are much more cleanly and sterile than her daughters.

Typical Clothing: Very relaxed outfits. Often leggings, a t-shirt, and sometimes a hoodie or cardigan to match.

She does have bad days and self-image issues from her past relationship with her children's father, but is recovering and is the textbook version of an independent woman. She does get angry, though most often when someone she loves is hurt. The anger of a gentle woman is feared, and though it's usually a quiet, dry anger it's feared by all.

Though this is only triggered when it's truly deserved, and is other than that quite the softie to his wife Julie and their son, Dean.
• Dean Grace: Willow's nephew, he's older than Aisling by 4 years. A grouch, to put it simply, but he has a deep-seated soft spot for animals. He's blond with blue eyes, taking after his mother but is tall and strong like his father. He's suspicious and slow to gain trust, but cares deeply for the people he's close to and will do anything he can to protect them.
• Anastasia Grace: Willow's mother, a short, snarky woman who travelled to Canada from Scotland with her husband Christopher before Willow was born. She's a force to be feared, and though she's a weathered old woman she'll still beat the shit out of you with her cane if you piss her off well enough.
• Christopher Grace: Willow's father, he's a tall, strong man with the physique similar to that of a viking. He has a neatly trimmed beard, and is immaculately dressed everyday. He's a quieter man, and a bit of a softie at heart but he still can be quite intimidating if he wants to be.
