Very stress boi. Dying does a lot of not good things to your psyche. Being a beast that the only think that stops you from eating people is your psyche makes this a bit of a deadly combo.

He is a naturally happy and charismatic person, he just knows the whole canibal thing is not the best thing people would like their friends to be. So he doesn't tell anyone about the cannibal part and just tries to be liked... it isnt workingXD
