Here's the CS thread! I'll probably format this better eventually

Some brief rules for characters:

• As per usual, please try to keep the genders somewhat equal. It gets really dragged down when there's 10 more characters (usually girls) of one gender than another.
• For now, I think I'll put the limit at 2 characters, just based on how many people were interested. This may change in the future.
• In this universe, vamps are immortal. They live until they are killed, and this makes for some pretty old characters. I would really prefer it if those characters were few are far between. We need some fledglings and younger (less than 300 or so) vampires to balance things out
• That being said, there is no limit on how young your characters are. One of the major components of this roleplay is family, and that wouldn't really work out if every single character is (or looks) 18.
• Vamps stop aging whenever they reach their maturity. It doesn't really matter when this is, it just depends on the character's personality.
• Most humans don't know about the supernatural, at least, not yet.
• All sexualities and races are welcome.

  Personality:
  To many Chione is an enigma. She has an old time charm about her with the ways that she speaks and carries herself. To the outside world Chione is an elegant woman. She carries herself with confidence, with her back straight and head held high. Chione is someone who commands respect with her very presence. She doesn’t tolerate disrespect in the slightest. There are those who find her intimidating. Her penchant for cold glares and cutting words have cowed many in her lifetime.
  
  Chione is compassionate to some degree. While she’ll help someone in need, it always comes with a price, though she may be more lenient towards certain individuals. Chione cares little for the opinions of others and tends to do as she wishes. She’s a strong-willed woman who doesn’t back down from a challenge. Instead she faces them head on.
  
  Chione has excellent control over her emotions. She’s good at hiding how she feels as well as manipulating others. Her ire is something to be avoided. Chione is a vengeful woman. She’s not short-tempered at all. Instead the vampires is patient, making her revenge often carefully thought out and well planned. Chione is also prideful and fierce. She isn’t one to back down or submit. She enjoys traveling and learning about the world around her.

  Biography :
  Chione was born in Alexandria, Egypt during the rule of Cleopatra. As the daughter of a priest and doctor Chione spent her days in comfort and luxury. The young woman wanted for nothing. From a young age she had wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a doctor. Like any noble girl she was given the best teachers and spent her days learning of politics and etiquette. Her life changed drastically when she turned twenty. Cleopatra’s rule had come to an end and the romans took over Egypt. Many of the nobles, including her father, were killed during that time while she and her mother were taken as spoils of war. She was never able to find her after that.
  
  The once noble lady was reduced to a courtesan. Chione played her role well though. Using all that she was taught to gain the favor of many high ranking officials. Her life was once again of luxury yet not as kind to her as it had been. There were those who were cruel to her because of her looks and her place of birth. Not every client treated her with basic human decency. Years went by and Chione plotted, wanting revenge for the death of her family and home. Her chance came in the form of a rather mysterious client. Her exotic looks drew him in as well as her flowery words. He was an odd man, coming in only when the set was in the process of setting and the moon emerged from its hiding place. Chione thought little of it.
  
  His visit her pleasant, they talked, made love, and she was showered in gifts. It became apparent that she had become his favorite. They spoke of their past, how he had lost his wife and unborn son during childbirth and how she missed her past life and wished for revenge. Chione’s wish was granted as her admirer revealed himself as a vampire. He offered Chione a way to achieve her goals and of course she agreed.
  
  After her turning Chione slowly but surely laid waste to those who took her life from her and those who’d wronged her as a courtesan. After that she fled with her maker. The two of them traveling together and learning of the world around them. One day however Chione had returned from a hunt to find him gone, it was as if he’d never existed.
  
  Chione spent her time looking for her mentor, years went by and she found no trace of him. Eventually she gave up and her feelings towards him turned bitter. Chione traveled by herself, meeting interesting people and learning about different cultures as time passed. She enjoyed observing the world as it evolved and changed.
  
  Chione came across the coven during what was known as the Roaring Twenties. She enjoyed the new and lively moment that spread throughout the United States, she enjoyed the Harlem Renaissance era especially. Chione had arrived in Austin only to visit, as it was one of the few places that she hasn’t been to before. She had heard of the coven from other vampires and so she began intrigued. Chione was the first to approach them, curious about their way of life or rather unlife. She stayed in Texas for a few years, purchasing a home and opening up a few businesses but she grew bored and left. After traveling again and realizing that there was little that she hadn’t seen Chione returned, wanting to be apart of the coven.

Her go lucky attitude blinds her from danger but when it hits home she often shuts down and can't function without help. That doesn't take away from the fact that she's often bold, even if it's in her way of romance, lustful and unromantic, she's never been one for 'love'.

Personality
Personality :: Elanna is a fiery woman. She may come off as cold to some, because of her calculated and reserved phrases. She’s incredibly smart and witty, due to her years of med school. Her ability to think on her feet has saved the asses of many vampires before. The way she speaks makes her seem very convincing to others, and she stands tall as if she commands the room. If people can’t identify her weaknesses, they can never challenge her.

Despite her professional facade, Elanna has a different, more undercover job. She sells blood bags to vampire clans, providing they give her something in return. Maybe it’s a favor, or willingness to volunteer for her medical experiments. Regardless, vampires buy the blood in order to keep themselves off the radar.

Strengths :: Elanna is able to think on her feet and help people very easily. That’s why she decided to be a doctor. To help people. She’s trained in first-aid, surgery, and other medical feats.

Weakness :: Her focus on her work and maintaining a stable reputation in the public eye means she never has time to really show human emotion. She never gets to go on a date or have drinks with her friends. Sometimes, she wishes she never had to work with the vampire coven.

Another weakness of hers is simply strength. As a human, she knows that at any moment she could die at the hands of one of the immortal creatures. If she makes one stupid enough decision, that could be it.

Personal Views on the Supernatural :: The only reason Elanna ever went into business with the supernatural is because she grew up as a part of it. Her father was affiliated with them, and she is simply a part of the family legacy. It still creeps her out that the vampires basically watched her grow up, and they never aged a day. Now that her father is no longer alive, she has taken over the family responsibility of selling blood bags to local clans. Is it illegal? Not if no one finds out.

Hobbies :: Working, writing medical journal entries, and attempting to not go insane when in kahoots with a supernatural coven. Once in a while, she’ll have free time where she enjoys drawing. Because of her medical training, she learned to draw anitomically.

She does struggle with having a filter on her words and actions--which causes some to perceive her as brash and blunt while others see her as honest. It all depends on the persons view. he is very reactive and lacks future sight. She loves her friends and family dearly. In school right now she is seeing the school social worker to work through the recent death of her mother.

When her mom was sick she would come visit and when they realized that her mom would not make they started to move her stuff in. Gertie's father was never in the picture and she was also named after her Grandmother--whom she never met--Gertrude Nancy Ryne.
