Fandom Number Hunters (Yu-Gi-Oh Roleplay)

Though JK was able to process Yasuo's story quickly, Setsuko was taking a lot of time trying to hake heads or tails of it, her brain drowning everything around her out. Yasuo seemed like the kind of person who would lie in order to get away from people, so Setsuko doubted that she was lying right now. It was only a few seconds after Yasuo asked her to join that she finally finished processing everything. "All right," she said as she hit the palm of her hand with the side of her fist in an 'aha' gesture, "I think I got it." Looking at Yasuo, she saw the person who was dueling when she found her too. Setsuko blinked vacantly in confusion, wondering what she missed.

Yasuo tilted her head to one side at the sudden 'aha' from her classmate and how the other preteen explained that she thought that she got it. She waited to see if she was going to explain what in the world she meant by that. Even Galaxi looked at the other human, waiting for her to continue on with seeming to have figured something out, though he already had a pretty good idea as to what it was. "...What do you g-got?" she asked Setsuko quietly.

Setsuko blinked. "...That you're being followed by an invisible alien that is in a war with aliens that are disguised instead of invisible and these invisible aliens are on Earth's side and the disguised aliens are not. What, did you change the story while I wasn't looking?"

"W-Well, no? ...Maybe...? She was a B-Barian? Which is t-the other a-alien race that d-doesn't like Galaxi's? And that's going to w-war against his w-world and o-ours? I t-think?"

The child waited quietly for her answer. She hoped the two of them would join her and Galaxi in saving the human world and the astral world from the Barians. After all, she did need a team right? Why not ask the two closest to her first to join it? It would be better than her running off into danger by herself with her alien friend. Plus, the world being taken over or destroyed affected them too. So why wouldn't they join to save it?

Yasuo and Galaxi were both silent as JK spoke of his own goals in mind. They could understand that seeing as how they had a goal too, different of course, but still, they had one. If he had business with the Grevix, then that would mean trouble. But who was the say that her little team of world savers wouldn't run into them sooner or later anyway? Moreso if they had Number cards of their own? Plus, if they were involved in the rumors said, it only stood a higher chance that she and her little group would run into them sooner or later anyway. In the end, JK would be able to get his business taken care of while helping out with saving two worlds.

But it seemed that he did agree to join and that was more than enough to get her to perk up. She gave a nod and thanked him for joining her little team. Though she frowned at the last question, glancing over at her floating pal. Could he? She could see him just fine and Ceata had been able to as well. Not to mention, hear him as clear as she could. How come no one else could?

"I don't k-know? I see h-him just fine? And the p-person Setsuko and I d-dueled could too..?"
she answered before she turned her gaze towards where her friend was floating. "Um, c-can you?"

"Mmm... I could try,"
Galaxi told her. "How would you like me to try to prove it?"

"He wants to k-know how he can t-try to prove h-he's here..."

(Alright, that's the last reply for now. I'm for reals going to bed now since I finished my episode of Yu-Gi-Oh. Night guys. See you all in a few hours.)

Thinking over Yasuo's question and Galaxi's by the sounds of it. Joker or Jk had took some time in thought, pondering different ways. Such as maybe just making it so Jk could hear his voice..... or see his face? Nah...... If he could of done that it would likely be done. No? Admittedly this was more difficult then Jk had given it credit. "Uh..... I think I've got it. I'll hold my hand behind my back, starting with only a certain number of fingers held up, I'll switch it every second after he responds...... He gets them right and I know you must not be alone. Since he could move I'd imagine while your right in front of me. Sound fair?" Jk spoke starting the move of his hand toward his back. Starting off with one, then would shift to three after the first reply and five after that, followed by two then four. (Order: 1,3,5,2,4)

"N-No? I was just c-curious? You kind of z-zoned out for awhile s-so..? ...Sorry..?" Yasuo paused for a moment, seeming to think over what her schoolmate had told her. "I don't t-think all of the aliens of Galaxi's r-race are on o-our side? I think just he i-is?"

The two friends glanced over at JK once he figured out a way for Galaxi to be able to explain how he was truly here with them. The two pals looked at each other once more and the blue alien agreed that it seemed fair. The human agreed with him and turned her gaze back to the older duelist, waiting to see if her partner could guess correctly. Once he made his guesses, he asked for her to repeat them allowed for the other two humans to hear to see if he was right.

"Okay... He s-says, one, t-three, five two, a-and four. Is that c-correct, JK?"

So the alien exists or she's really good at guessing..... It seemed this Galaxi was real and this threat to humanity was far more then human factions looking to takeover. Did that mean this threatening duelist or entity really wasn't apart of the Grevix or thug king factions or those Nhua or whatever they were called? Was there any connection or just coincidence? The more Joker played it out within his mind, whilst looking toward Yasuo as she spoke and got each one correct. The more serious these number cards were becoming, were they meant for human hands? Questions, questions and more questions yet few answers. Something JK wasn't particularly fond of, but until they knew more, there was little he could do....... but help.

" Hmm..... Yes each correct and in the right order. I think that game proves enough to me, Yasuo and you too Galaxi."

The little girl gave a small chuckle at that and seemed to high-five the air, while in reality, she was giving Galaxi in due to their partner working in proving that he was real. At least that was one thing she didn't have to worry about anymore; keeping her alien friend a secret and not speaking to him when around others. ...Well, gained, she still had to do that since the only people that knew of the Astral were her, Setsuko, JK, and Ceata. Still, it put her at ease a little bit. Not only that but now she had some help in dealing with the war that she and her friend were doing their best to put an end to. She turned her gaze back up at the older teen and gave him another small smile.

"I'm glad... I was w-worried you guys w-wouldn't believe me. That's why I n-never really spoke about him b-before.." she replied, still speaking as quietly as she normally did. "Takes one h-huge weight off my s-shoulders at least. Hehe."

The sight was kind of amusing as JK looked on toward Yasuo and her air five to Galaxi he presumed. She was chuckling a bit too. It must have been a relief to the young girl with having someone or some two people believe her and know about the Alien known as Galaxi. Meanwhile she seemed to turn her gaze back up toward the older teen with a small smile.

Jk nodded a bit and politely smiled in turn. It was like a reflex now with this young duelist around and talking to him about her friend and task with this threat to humanity. Was this guy once known if still not as Joker Z..... A former thug king and reputable duelist for his age atleast, now growing a bit softer?

"I've had little doubts, just had to make sure is all...... My men'.......this old guy I mean, who taught me how to duel and got me started had some stories during his day. Unbelievable truths. So this I suppose couldn't be too far off the believable scale for me. No worries kiddo... I mean Yasuo. You've got some believers here." JK spoke with a break in words as he stopped himself from saying mentor and changed course. While giving reference to the old man and calling her Kiddo. Though that still shocked him a bit. It was a sign he wasn't used to or sure about but he couldn't help but feel a little kinder to younger duelists these days.

.....

Meanwhile off in the shadows and sunlight a tall figure stepped along the sidewalks, feet clapping against the concrete........

(Dramatic scene + music)

The preteen was a bit surprised when she was called kiddo. She didn't really mind it all that much though. Most people called her that since it was true. She was still just a kid. But it was mainly her family that did. But it didn't bother her too much. If anything, she was more interested in what the teenager had said. He knew someone that told stories of countless of odd things like having an alien partner up with you to save the world? It peaked her interest and she was curious to learn more. Galaxi was too, she could already tell that without a glance towards the otherworldly being she called a friend. Who knew, maybe they could meet this person someday too!

"W-Who would that b-be?" Yasuo wondered, tilting her head to one side, sort of like how a cat or dog would do. "What kinda stuff d-did he tell you?"

It seemed like he caught her interest by mentioning the old man. Really? JK never spoke of his old mentor least not much. The two ended on poor terms with Jk joining the thug kings and getting cocky with his dueling. A rising young duelist he thought, knew everything he believed..... It wasn't until later on when JK discovered he didn't truly understand what the old man had meant and how far he still had to go. Learning duel monsters and being good were two different things and power with skill wasn't the only two traits a true duelist would need. Joker learned that advice the hard way and on his own years later though it didn't bring him back to his mentor...... JK was still prideful and stubborn for such things, he never went back and admitted his mistakes or found the old man to apologize. Maybe he could still? Who knew after all was the old man still alive? Living inside that old mountain top and blizzard caught cabin?

"Huh?!" Joker responded in honest reaction. "You want to learn about the old man? And his stories, huh?" Jk replied with a exhale and closing his eyes. How this topic brought back memories and how far reaching they were too. "Well if you really want to know..... His name was Gregorious, a muscle bound old man with a beard and semi wild hair. He lived atop this old cabin that seemed like a dojo, cabin hybrid..... either way there was always a blizzard and only one single fire inside the old place. But anyways...... he told stories nothing about aliens like your friend here, but of shadow duels, creepy monster spirits coming to life and a abandoned dorm, while some guy roamed the forests with torn pants and no shirt, talking about the Draw technique for dueling." Jk spoke naming some stories with brief descriptions of different ones. "He gave me the first deck I ever used or owned..... while helping me start my Shark deck when I was a tad younger then you. Closest thing I had....... anyways...." JK spoke clearing his throat near the end and stopping himself from sounding sentimental and soft. While opening his eyes to look toward Yasuo and her friends.

....... ....... ...... ......
"Still got those Gravekeepers, hey Joel?" A strong voice echoed in call coming from a tall, muscular old man with a old era duel disc worn on his wrist similar to JK's but slight differences.

Meanwhile as the voice spoke JK's eyes went wide and expression shocked, frozen still from the sheer amazement and surprised manner of it all. While a slight body twitch occurred every so often in the state of shock.

"You almost sounded like a boy speaking of fond memories there..... How's that Shark deck doing ye'? I hear things. But I don't believe every whippsnappers story..."

Shadow Duels? She heard rumors about those from people that were still alive that had heard tales of them as well. Or, very rarely, had taken part in such a duel themselves. It was amazing to hear about growing up. But it was also scary too. She hoped that wouldn't happen to her. Though she supposed being partnered up with an alien and saving to save not only his world but her own, was just as bad as those Shadow Duels were. All ended the same way in the end, right? The world being threatened in some way or another and someone having to come along to put a stop to it. She didn't think she was the type to actual be able to stop anything, much less a war. Which again, only brought doubt to her and why Galaxi and Utopia had chosen her to help in their quest to save their world and the human world.

Yasuo jumped, a small squeak of surprise escaping her at the sound of the new voice that had spoken up. The ten-year-old turned her gaze towards it to see a rather elderly looking man standing there. Though he was up there in age, the power in his voice made it seem that he was far from being a weak old man. The worn out duel disc on his arm was also a clear sign of that. As well as how strong he appeared to be, despite his old age. Someone you wouldn't want to mess with, that was clear as the sky was blue. The Astral being beside her gave a small 'mmm' in thought, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at the newcomer as well.

"Judging by JK's reaction and the way this old man speaks, I believe it's safe to say that this would be the man he spoke of. His old teacher from the sound of things from the story he told us. What timing."

"R-Really?" At the nod of the alien at her side, the child gazed up at the old man in awe. "Whoa... Talk about s-speaking of the d-devil..."

Nope. No. no. No........Nooooo! Waaaaayyyyyyy!!!!!! JK repeatedly told himself, nope. No. noa...... nana ugh uh..... How was this happening? Did he have some kind of burning ear and flight ability or something? Why wasnt the old man up in his dojo or perhaps resing peacefully in eternal slumber? The guy was old when he taught JK but now he'd have to reach......the young male shook his head and slowly stopped his twitch. He couldn't believe the old man was still around and walking too in the very city as JK.

Hearing that voice was like a dazed dream or nightmare pending the times. If Jk didn't know better he would have sworn his was either a waking dream or the old man slipped a tracking device on him with JK never the wiser. Looking toward Yasuo then slowly turning toward the voice, Joker met his mentors gaze noting the yet strong, serious set of eyes with a soft tone to them in such moments as this one.

"I.... I...... I thought you were resting peacefully, somewhere..... How's the old man these days, come out of retirement or....." JK paused uncertain of what to say, he was caught way off guard by this mans presence and nearly speechless. Plus the reasons for his arrival, the timing...... were quite new and incredible to JK.

"Ha...... Resting? Out of retirement? Nah kiddo! I'm never retired, just slower, you sidestepping WHIPPERSNAPPER You!!!" The man spoke with a laugh and hands on his hips allowing his muscular arms and elbows to point outward. "I didn't sidestep......" Jk retorted

"Ye did..... You never answered me. Still got them gravekeepers or they not good enough for you and how about that Shark venture we started for you? Huh seems like you might of finished it by now."

"I've still got them...... I use it for a secondary deck. And yes I've completed the deck, just need take back some stolen cards is all." Jk spoke

"Good.... Good for ye, means you still care for the old man huh?! I love it! Now what's this about stol......." Gregorious paused in notice of Yasuo, a small thing and quite small compared to him. Meanwhile JK couldn't help but chuckle at the old man. 'Still pointing to actions to find love and care, huh old man?' Jk thought with a smile and realizing perhaps this old mentor still meant quite a bit to him. Even if he was trying not to show it.

Gregorious meanwhile looked to Yasuo and kneeled down looking toward her with a soft pair of eyes and a old smile.
"Ah..... aww...... well I apologize little miss, I almost forgot you there. Names Gregorious Clay-Spear and this old jungle boy here, why I'm the old man Joel here was a talking of. Welp...." he spoke introducing himself and slapping his knee. While looking back toward Jk and then Yasuo and Setsuko. "What's your name little miss?"

Yasuo watched on quietly as the two of them spoke to each other. It appeared as though Galaxi had been right in his guess. It seemed this truly was the teacher in the story JK had just finished telling the three. She glanced up at her friend for a moment, before looking back at the two males. They seemed like they were good friends, which was true if she went by what she was told. The shy girl moved back a little bit when the old man knelt down in front of her with a smile on his face and kind eyes that made her think of her grandpa when looking at the elderly duelist. The younger rookie duelist cleared her throat, to try to push down the shyness and timidness she had when meeting new people--and even when she didn't--before she spoke a greeting back to Gregorious.

"Oh, u-um I'm Yasuo Judōteki. It's n-nice to meet y-you."

The young girl was a quiet one early on, wasn't she? Gregorious noticed as much whilst talking to JK and catching up a tad with him. She was rather glancing up towards her friend too...... A curious sight it all was to him. The young girl was going to be the talk of the town, he'd bet. After all how many young duelists walk around with a spirit friend' huh? The more Gregorious quietly watched the small thing react to him, seeming to push down any nerves and clear her threat before speaking to him. The more he seemed to understand about her without asking. He'd seen the signs time and time again with duelists over his many a year.

"I detect your a shy little thing, aren't you? Not that it's a bad thing, just need a boost is all. You'll get the strength of a amazoness in no time!" Gregorious spoke with a small grin, while JK smiled with a slight chuckle.... it had been awhile since hearing Amazoness talk or hearing about them in general. "A pleasured acquaintance miss Yusao Judōteki. And who's your spirit friend here with the jewels and markings? Gotta nice set of hair on him, almost as cool as mine back when I was a lad." Gregorious smiled and complimented as he asked after the astrals name and noting his able sight to see him.

Jk meanwhile looked over with a surprised expression and curiously approached closer to his mentor and Yusao, trying to figure how the old man could see and not him?

"Wait..... wait, you actually can see him?" Jk asked

"Obviously! I'm not...... wait you can't huh? Why, can't say I know what he is, never crossed one before. But I've seen some things, these old eyes can spot the different and unknown, I suppose."

He could tell that she was already quite shy just by how little she acted around him? Whoa. That was pretty cool, if a little bit scary too. But it was mostly neat in a weird way. Not only that, but he even said that being so shy and timid wasn't a bad thing either. And she'd get better in no time. Those were some nice weirds of some encouragement. However, what Greg said next, caused the preteen's eyes too wide and she gawked at him. He was able to see Galaxi? She cast another glance at her friend, who too, was startled by what he had heard.

"How strange... He can see me.. Not many humans are able to do that... Very strange... I believe there's more to this human than meets the eye, Yasuo. If he's able to see and possibly hear me as well..."

"Y-Yeah, I got y-you, I think...? Oh, um... H-His name's Galaxi," the younger human spoke softly, turning back to face the old man in front of her. "He's an A-Astral... He's an a-alien that I-I'm trying to h-help... How are you a-able to see h-him? So far only I've b-been able to? ...And one o-other person..."

Joker peeked his ears and listened closely, clearly despite his knowledge of his old mentor even he was astonished Gregorious could see Galaxi. It was incredible and to think after all these years, the old man could still surprise him and seemingly track him, too? Meanwhile Gregorious just stayed kneeled though he was starting to feel it in his knees, just wondering what the big deal was with him seeing the young girls friend? Hmm..... Maybe he was missing something after all. Then he looked toward Galaxi as he spoke and chuckled with a shaking of his head.

"You must be right! I've been saying it for years to some pretty ladies that I'm quite something. Haha!!" He laughed in reply to Galaxi before looking toward young Yasuo. "Hmm..... Galaxi, huh? Quite fitting a name for a other worldly guy wouldn't ye say? Well Tidings friend. Names..... Well I'd imagine you heard, huh? Haha" Gregorious spoke with a grin and chuckle again. "Astral huh? Never heard of them. Is he lost or just needs some friendly help might I ask? Long ways from home I'd imagine." Gregorious continued while pondering her question of how he was able to see Galaxi when only she and one other person could.

"Your still able to surprise me, Gramps. Good to see I guess, means your alive and up toward your old ways, I assume?"

"Haha.... I knew it. The old heart is still there somewhere, calling me gramps and all. Warms the ticker boy and good to see you too and seemingly now you've learned that lesson, huh?.... Bout time you know." Gregorious spoke to JK before answering Yasuo as he still wasn't sure of how he could see Galaxi if others couldn't. Unexplainable maybe? "As for you, Yasuo...... Galaxi..... I don't know. Just can is all. I've experienced duel monsters reach spirit form and then almost life like form, able to duel you and all sorts of special effects like stuff. I had the misfortune to experience the shadow games, duels taking part in shadows and where losers can lose their souls forever in the shadow realm. Ghostly things possessing duelists through the shadow powers or some such deal and plotting against the old duel academy. I've seen much..... but couldn't explain how it all could be, it just had some unbelievable power behind it. The millennium items after all couldn't of been there for our experiences at duel academy. I don't think any how..... But Galaxi. This Astral from astral-land perhaps? I can't say, I just can. Welp I'm gathering you're very lucky or unlucky pending your friends troubles and I'd say the same for me as well. But good overall as otherworldly beings with a friendly disposition is a nice change for once, helping hands needed then I'd imagine it's worth a meeting," Gregorious spoke starting to slowly rise back to a stand before his knees and back started up on him.

"He n-needs help saving his w-world from a-another alien race. They a-also threaten us t-too he said? ...So I'm t-trying to help him in s-saving both our worlds?"

It was the simplest of ways she could have put it. She still didn't fully understand it either. But she was surprised that this old man was able to see her friend too just like she and Ceata could. At least it helped prove that he actually was there now. Double the fact than the guessing game earlier. She grew quite for a minute as he began to explain some things to her alien partner. So that could explain it maybe on how he was able to see him. Not only that, but it also in a way, confirmed that the Shadow Duels and Shadow Games were an actual thing at one point. Who would have thought that happened for real?

When he went to get back up from kneeling down in front of her, Yasuo offered to help him up. She didn't mean it out of disrespect or anything of that nature at all; it was more of a habit she had picked up when helping her grandpa and grandma around her home whenever they would come to visit before they passed away a few years ago. Seemed it still stuck with her even after all this time had passed.

"You're one fasinating human. I'm only now just hearing about those things, but to think that you've heard those stories as well--possibly lived through them to tell us today, is truly amazing. A well met meeting indeed. It's nice to meet you as well."

"Oh my... my, my, my, more Wars of some kind, huh? Never ends. " he sighed heavily and closed his eyes. Giving a good moment of thought and occurring flashbacks to all the tales and experiences he heard and seen. "Aliens in war, much worse sounding then those factions and their card chasing. I'm glad you finally reached your senses Joel, your Joker Z days finally behind you now? I hope. Curses amongst us now in these times. Caught up in some war....... But for a shy little thing..... well your showing courage worthy of the amazon, you know? Hopefully your not heading into this fool heartily either? Can't walk before your crawling and my can't duel with fancy cards before your basics. Dueling is just like walking, you know? First you crawl and summon your first monster, know how to play your cards. Then you walk and do more advanced stuff, like ritual and fusion summons, then before your gone it's getting to full speed runs, taking these new things like fancy XZY or Xyz summoning......don't ye know?" Gregorious spoke starting to ramble and tell about a number of things such as letting JK know of how he kept up on throughout the years and showing through it that he still cared, telling young Yasuo of her admirable courage to undertake such a task. While showing how sad it was that such wars and problems still arose. "But listen to me now...... Rambles of a old man, you'd tire of it quick and have I bet." Gregorious smiled and opened his eyes with a soft gaze and thoughtful expression in his realization.

As he began to rise and notice Yasuo move to help him up, Gregorious smiled and softly patted her hand in thanks. While Jk looked on unsure of what to say, after all for him it was nice to hear that someone still kept track of him, still cared after all these years and despite how they parted ways and lost touch. Almost showing on the outside of how bad he felt for not making amends sooner, but instead smiled and nodded his head.

"Ha! Fascinating you say? It's rather kind of you. I'm just human though, a simple man from a older time and liking of the fantasy of amazoness lands. And dreaming of the could be lands anyways.... plenty of good company there, you know? Hmm.... haha.... I thank you though Galaxi. Kind words. But yes, I've heard em' like you have though perhaps differently, time changes things after all. I've lived some myself, Good vs Evil always reigns and always gets told throughout history. Only the times change and the how's....... You bunch will have them too, I'd suspect. Any plans moving ahead? And what about you two and your dueling? I'm growing curious." Gregorious spoke though he wasn't certain if Galaxi dueled or not or if Yasuo has much experience yet or just starting out with her first duel yet to come.

In many ways, he reminded her of her grandpa. He'd often say the same times. Despite being such a shy child, she had a ton of courage that just didn't know about. Or even noticed she was doing either. And, she supposed she did. It took a lot of courage to agree to help Galaxi out once he and Utopia appeared seeking her help in stopping the war that loomed over them all. Maybe that was the reason why the two had shown up? Maybe they knew of the hidden courage she had within and believed she could put an end to this meaningless war? But then there was also the problem that Ceata had said. That Galaxi's kind had been the one to start the war, to begin with, because they wanted to become higher beings. What if he was just simply using her to complete that goal faster since he couldn't interact with the world around him like she could?

She shook her head to attempt to clear the dark thoughts away. The Astral being floating beside her didn't seem like the type that would do that. If he was, then why would Utopia have appeared? Surely he would have warned her about her alien partner if he was someone bad she needed to watch out for? She didn't think it was right to be judging her friend based on what one of their enemies told her. After all, she had been threatened by the very same person not long after she had told her that. But still, there was that little bit of doubt that lingered there and she felt somewhat guilty about it.

"O-Oh... I don't think I h-have a lot of c-courage? ..Or anything r-really?" Yasuo answered after she helped Greg up and moved back a bit from the elderly man so she wasn't crowding him. Though she was happy to see that he wasn't upset for her helping him back to his feet. She was a kid that liked helping others if she could. And helping the elderly was something she was good at, unlike with dueling. "...But we h-have a little bit of a p-plan? We're supposed to be getting N-Number cards.... It s-should help us out in the l-long run? ... As for d-dueling... I'm just s-starting out? I won my f-first duel a little while a-ago with Galaxi telling me w-what to do and with S-Setsuko's help. We got in a t-tag team duel against s-someone else..."

Gregorious took note of the young duelist and looked over toward JK. Quite the contrast between the two but some clear hope surely, he had thought as the elder man looked once more to Yasuo. Giving a slight shake of his head as she spoke though it wasn't in rudeness or such thing merely disagreeing and seeing she was in need of some morale boosting, some confidence. "You may not see it..... But the simplest act of helping in war shows courage. The unknown can draw fear, place it within your mind and provide a home for doubt. I'm guessing there is much unknown for you and the details of this war.... No? Yet your helping a new friend and taking quiet charge, yes? Of course. It's nonsense to say otherwise.." Gregorious spoke starting off with a speech to provide a positive touch, paint a brighter picture of her tale and its early beginnings. "Back to these number cards, huh? Young whippersnappers...... Always going for the powerful and popular trend. But it's just a old story I've heard many times, you'd be wise to tread carefully and obtain these cards you need, just don't get forgetful of purpose and true dueling. After all... You say your just starting and won a duel alongside your friends..... You should be proud and growing in confidence. If your not.... Just remember the cards and your belief in them is truly a gift, a power in its own way, they once told me when I was young..... A king of games was quoted as saying something about a heart in the cards. I kinda think it holds true, a nice ring to my saying believe in your cards. It's not power alone like I use to tell JK, it's how's you play and what your able to do with those cards and that's what counts. The strongest can fall by the smallest of moves and things." Gregorious spoke while JK nodded with his arms folded and recalling his first sessions and meeting Gregorious, receiving his first deck from the old man and learning the art of dueling and the history of it.

"I like to think..... I always believed that a deck of duel monsters tells something about a person. Perhaps they tell much about them and the kinda person they could be or once were. So I'm saying it's time for you to find that out and only will happen through duels and knowing yourself, so that you can then believe in those cards! Because then you know yourself!" Gregorious continued though he wasn't sure if that rambling made sense to her and Galaxi or not and Setsuko too. He'd been around duel monsters for so many years that it was possible his style, his beliefs had no place in the present years. "Perhaps..... When your ready, you and I should duel. No worries, nothing on the line. Just a harmless and fun duel. A old man vs a young duelist fresh off victory."

While JK snapped back to reality and curiously looked on, starting to see the method behind it. But his ways were curious to him.

"I suppose it w-would? I dunno... I don't feel like I h-have a lot of courage? My grandpa used to s-say the same thing as y-you, Greg. .... I just d-did what Galaxi told me to d-do in that duel... He and Setsuko did m-most of the work...?" she replied, glancing down at the ground as she spoke. Another little habit of hers she was going to have to try to break one of these days. "A-And I'm happy I g-got to win a d-duel with them, but I'm s-scared too? ...So much has h-happened today.."

Really, who could blame her for being scared? Just for winning one duel against a Barian--her and Galaxi's shared enemy since they were apart of this war together now--she'd be threatened by a woman twice her size that could easily crush her into dust if she wanted to? She didn't want to die and sure as hell didn't want anything to happen to her Astral friend either. That didn't stop her, nor her friend, from listening to the rambling the old man talked about. It made sense. In it's own little way, it just sort of did. Any card could be powerful, even the weakest of monsters could become nightmares if used a certain way. A duelist had to believe in the cards with them, but while she did to a point, she was just so uncertain. Much like she was with a lot of things lately. She was uncertain about her cards and in herself. She didn't think she had what it took. That win in that duel was because of her two friends, not because of her.

At the offer of a duel, she glanced up at him, brown eyes wide in surprise. It wouldn't be one for keeps of cards like the tag-team duel she had taken part in with Setsuko. No, it would just be one for good old fashion fun, like how she used to deal before she got dragged into a war between two alien races and her own. She glanced over at Galaxi to see what he thought of the offer to duel the elderly human.

"As I said before when JK was going to duel one of those two people that showed up before we got dragged into our own duel, I believe it will help you in the long run, Yasuo. What he says is true. I think you can learn a lot from him. And a friendly little duel between you two would be the perfect way to start in your teachings. Of course, if you don't wish to duel right now after what happened earlier, then maybe you two could do it another time? In the end, it's your call."

"..Oh.." She bit her lip, before turning back to face the others. "...If you want, we c-can have a duel now? ...I mean... I dunno.. I'm s-still unsure a-about a lot of stuff.. But I think I g-get what you were s-saying? ...And maybe another d-duel will help? ..I don't know..?"

"Sounds like a smart chap. Insightful, observant chap. He's a right man. You don't exactly feel courage, your kinda, just courageous. You act, you do, you face.... But courage and feeling it, takes time but doesn't mean it's absent from your fiber of being, just growing? Yes. Growing. Just as you do. It do. And the fact you take advice, shows a wisdom and thirst for knowledge that can sprout greatness, you know? It helps too." Gregorious nodded in a matter of factly kind of way and well he was pretty sure that was right anyway. Wasn't exactly a common field of discussion for him or least not so often. "Aww..... But your still here. A glimpse of happiness over a victory is the start to overtaking that fear. Erase those doubts from your mind and raise your know how's, and your know what's..... uh? Yeah. Yeah that's it. You'll know how to do it and what to do, when it happens. It'll come natural like a reaction instead of a thought and pause. You see?" Gregorious spoke figuring that would make sense.

Meanwhile he took quiet and listened, observed and stood. Letting Yasuo and Galaxi talk while Jk listened as well. The younger male seeing his old mentors lessons well and recalling some past experiences in those lessons to see what he was up to for this shy young duelist. JK and Yasuo had different ways even when Jk was her age, but the lessons would likely be the same if a bit softer to the timid duelist. Though not much.

Gregorious on the other hand stayed quiet and observant without recollection. Simply looking into those wide brown eyes and letting her talk it out with Galaxi. Seemingly nodding his head in agreement with the astral. He believed Yasuo needed experience, needed confidence and needed to find herself and believe in herself and could by getting to truly know her cards and know them, thus the reverse would hold true and benefit her in these times of need and war.

"Good. Good. Very nice Yasuo.... You'll experience what I preach and see what I mean. It's only a matter of time. While not having to worry about dueling for stakes but just dueling and seeing the true way of it, the art form. Just remember with each duel, you'll grow and with each experience comes knowledge, you just need to be open to it and see the potential feels for it all." Gregorious spoke hoping to show that once she duels for fun, the more she duels and the more learns win or lose, the better she will be and understand everything there is about dueling and her cards. While developing her own style. ".... So let's begin with your opening draw. I'll hit second this time. Perhaps close those brown eyes and let your fingers feel the cards and let them speak to you. Don't draw until your clear of thought and ready, okay Yasuo? It's gonna sound odd but give it a shot." Gregorious spoke taking a few steps back and setting his duel disc for action. While letting his Gear take form. The old man had a older style of equipment for dueling and used some of the new stuff. Hopefully the talk of that first draw as she held her five cards made sense, he thought it might lead to a gateway for her belief in the deck she uses.

All the while JK took a seat off to the side ready to watch and observe. It had been years since he seen his old mentor duel and the deck he uses too, of course. It was kinda interesting and attention grabbing honestly, he was looking forward to it, kinda like old times.

(Gonna let this be my last post until later. It's 6 Am here and I haven't slept yet, so I'm off to catch some sleep. Later! )

Ceata starred Ammokkx Ammokkx Tora, groaning in annoyance. She said, "...I have no idea where I would have met you before. Unfortunately, this body of mine is to out of sync with my head... I think I got a concussion recently. Everything's still a bit fuzzy. I shouldn't have offered that stupid card..." She crushed her teeth, gnashing out, "That Astral is going to bleed for all that he has done to my family..." She at least now knew what that little girl looked like. If she could design a deck around stopping her, and just wait for her to gather more numbers, then she should easily be able to win. So many of her cards were now useless due to Tachyon Dragon being away for about... a few more seconds?

The soul bound cards glowed in her heart for a few moments, the mark shining on her crystal-like structure. Through the Overlay Network the card would vanish from Kit-Kat Kit-Kat 's deck, and be replaced with illegal copies. Ceata snickered, she could no longer use the cards as tracers, but she already had utopia so it shouldn't matter. She looked back at Tora, saying, "...Wait a second..." She could feel that card... a number... but it had a more... pinkish crimson tinge to it? She never had to feel cards before, so it was just weird to her. She knew it was a card, but why was it so different. She said, "...Do you have one of the Seventh One cards?" She was trying to be subtle enough to another Barian exclusive card instead of just asking if she was a barian...

(We both went to bed around the same time. XD)

The preteen swallowed as she gave a nod. She drew her five cards to start the duel off with like normal. She shut her eyes as she was told to do and waited. She didn't know what she was really supposed to be waiting for though. A right moment? When she felt ready and her cards the same? Until they spoke to her? She didn't really understand what that meant, but she'd try it anyway. Even if she didn't really get it.

Yasuo ran her fingers over the cards she had already in her hands, wishing for them to speak or something to her. After what seemed like an hour or longer, she opened her eyes and took a deep breath. Okay, she could do this. Everything would be fine. This was just a friendly little duel that she'd have with one of her friends every day after school. No Number cards on the line this time. Nothing. Just pure fun. But why was she so nervous then? Shaking her head, she drew the sixth card from her deck, placing it into her current hand. She scanned over them for a few moments, before making a move of her own without Galaxi telling her what to do. She just hoped it was a good one.

"...Okay, I'll p-place this card face d-down in defense mode and p-put two cards f-face down. That's i-it for me?"

Gregorious could tell this one wasn't quite sure how or what he meant. A nod and following what he spoke was done by the preteen girl but did she understand the old man? He was wondering that himself. But atleast she was trying, it would take time before it struck her of the meaning behind those words of advice and drawing exercise. Meanwhile he watched her move curiously and lightly, not judging or expecting, just observing.

The elderly duelist from a once Awesome and proud school known as Duel academy and its Ra yellow dorm. Gregorious stood tall and large figure of muscles upright, looking on as the girl played her defense mode monster and set two cards face down. Hmm...... Not bad for a opening move.

"Welp, I'm saying it's my turn huh? If your done then I shall get started." He spoke closing his eyes and holding his five cards. While placing his fingers upon his deck preparing to draw, but waited quietly with a clearing of his mind and exhale of breath, letting his fingers touch simply remain and feel the cards he was about to draw and display what he meant ormpart atleast. The whole deal was a bit more personal for each duelist and practitioner is his way and belief.

Finally after some moments passed and his fingers pulled out the card in drawing from his deck. Gregorious opened his eyes and smiled.
"Haha! Right, I'll activate the spell card *Amazoness Village* followed by the spell double summon! Which allows me to normal summon twice in one turn. Now come..... Amazoness Paladin and Amazoness Swords Woman rise into Attack mode." He spoke explaining his turn while hardly looking over his cards as he seen them before his turn and didn't need to see them again, just reacting to his prior thoughts and knowing his cards. "I'll set one card face down. Meanwhile both my Amazoness goddesses will gain 200 attack points once per turn as well as Paladin here gaining additional 100 points for each Amazoness on the field under my control. So let's risk some battle and see that defense mode monster, huh? Amazoness Paladin attack with Strike of the amazon! And just in case my girl should be destroyed by this move, I can always use my Amazoness village to special summon a new Amazoness from my deck. Haha " Gregorious spoke whilst Paladin went charging forward with her sword and now 2000 attack points aiming to destroy the face down monster of Yasuo's.

"Now.... I'll end my turn." Gregorious spoke
