Oh, well, uh, sorry for apologizing then?

Bill is one of those characters who is seriously hard not to like. :p So, I'm going to guess you're a Gravity Falls fan too?

-pats- Don't be sorry for apologizing either.

Bill's one of those characters that you love but also hate at the same time 'cause of being a villain. But you can't help but be interested in them because of how wicked they are. -finger guns- Hell to the yes. Huge Gravity Falls fan here.

Oh? Well...then I think I know something you might like. It's not broken, but it's powerful and fun and can...erm...usually compete with Meta Decks sometimes. Rank 10 turbo! Basically rank 10 trains but with Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord and Tragoedia and a few other things. It relies around quickly getting out powerful, yet balanced XYZ monsters that can cause some serious trouble if not dealt with and are great offensively and defensively.

It's not just XYZ, but, yeah, it's either FIRST TURN SUPER OP BOARD or BRICK HAND GIVE UP YOU CAN'T WIN. That is...unless you're playing something like Evilswarms or Subterrors, because all they need is one, maybe two monsters to set up a hilarious strategy that is incredibly difficult to get around. Subterrors are basically "Oh, you wanted to attack me? Yeah thanks for that now I just got rid of your strongest monster because you decided to be stupid and not think things through. I don't need tons of monsters to beat you." and Evilswarms are basically "I heard you wanted to special summon spam? Now you can't. Oh, and you can't search your deck either. So use actual strategy if you want to win.". That isn't to say that modern decks other than these two don't require strategy! It's just that these ones specifically screw with the ones that don't and make your opponent actually have to use their brain. :p Then again I am somewhat biased towards them. :/
Yeah. I'm the balanced type with dueling, I prefer counteracting and using strategy to overcome opposing decks that rely on power. (Example of old School experiences in Rl: I had a friend who used the Blue eyes deck and then switched to the Cyber Dragon deck when it came out. Dude seriously had some card money to buy these haha online.

He often stuck to the Kaiba and Zane style of dueling. Using his deck to basically get his blue eyes or Cyber dragons onto the field Quick and then fuse them for their most powerful forms of the time. Spamming the effects, while using some spells and traps to aid them and his strategy, while protecting the monsters as well as he could.

Me: I often used various decks. Dark Magician deck because yes, I'm the Yugi deck type back then and still love the classic family of cards. And the Hero deck of Jadens, other archetypes, Syrus and Hasslberry theme included. I was kinda Bastion Misawa esque in the number of decks I went through and would.

I had his strategy and style down pretty well. But I often chose opposite deck types for myself to A( Enjoy but also B( Still able to use strategy and timing to take him down and/or outlast him. Because he was a power duelist and I experimented with different styles for fun and switching it up. Keeping unpredictable as possible) make sense? Feel like my auto correct and lazy example might be taking away from what I mean. Apologies there

But in short I like to enjoy my deck and make it challenging perhaps? While using strategy and not being too weak, still having some power plays and cards. So that's what I mean in the opposite of mainstream I suppose. Pace and tactics with old school style I suppose. While still able to throw down power moves and/or cards.

I'll check those out thanks. Haven't seen that deck yet or heard of it during my searches online and wikia. They sound interesting.

True, I just used XYZ because that's quickest to put then some other summons they have. But yeah that's kinda what I meant to say, the little bit I've seen or experienced by watching the Rp duels and online deck lists people submit, it's appearing like the old school ways have little meaning now days. Because of all these new ways to duel and speed up everything.

Gravity Falls for life! I find myself often just rewatching episodes of Gravity Falls over and over again because of how genuinely interesting, clever, and well written it is. :p And yeah. You love Bill because of his personality and attitude, but you at the same time want to see him get some serious retribution for his actions, that's pretty much how he's probably meant to be, and at the very least that's how I see him. :p

Makes sense pretty well to me, and it's actually interesting. Most duelists tend to pick whatever deck is the strongest and toss the interesting but weaker decks aside, giving up on them entirely. Meanwhile you like to keep things challenging, interesting, and with what you enjoy, and I just use...well...LITERALLY anything that catches my interest and try to master it as best as I possibly can. :p

And trust me, if you like a mix of offense and defense, you'll like Rank 10 turbo/Rank 10 trains. They can protect themselves and do some decent countering, and also deal some major damage and put their opponent in a tricky situation if they don't find a way to play around it. In a way it's actually a bit of an anti-meta deck, although completely unintentionally. It rewards mixing it up defensively and offensively and at the same time punishes your opponent's reckless actions if played right. Plus they have access to a 5000 atk power xyz monster that requires 3 xyz materials and can detach 1 to destroy all your opponent's spells and traps and they can't activate anything in response to it, so, uh, that's a plus for the deck even though it's rarely ever even possible to get out.

Yep exactly. Strong decks are cool least I do like some of them, but everybody pretty much uses them, so it's more interesting to me to use other types and am fine with weaker cards if I can use them and they are interesting. Catch my interest haha like you said and then aim to master it the best I could or can.

But that's cool! Using anything that's interesting to you is fun and can provide a more unique choice pending what's your flavor of deck.

Going to google search those and check them out. You've caught my attention with the deck match to my style and/or interests. ^^

To be honest with you, I sorta feel the same way about Bill? Like I think that's how Alex wanted him to be and how people see him.

I would recommend looking for older versions of rank 10 trains. Modern ones tend to use the annoying OTK strategy which requires use of meta cards that are just plain unfair or... *shudders* Kaijus. >.> If you need any advice too just ask, I've played Rank 10 Trains for a while now and...erm...I wouldn't say have mastered it but at the very least am more than decent at it. :p

And yeah, playing any deck that interests you really is fun. ^-^ Granted nearly everything interests me which is why I think on YGOPRO I have at least 1 deck for EVERY single archetype, so it really provides some unique choices. :p

Yeah. Bill's just a very well written villain. :p

Gotcha! I just googled Rank 10 decks and yeah...... Quite a mess of results and some that seem non fitting to the intended search. I'll adjust to looking for older versions to find the right one.

Any tips on decklist sites? That might make it faster and more to the style/one we are talking about.

Damn dude. 1 deck for every archetype sounds like one hell of a library of deck options. Sweet!

Actually, if you want I could just link you to a good decklist that I based my personal version off of. :p
That'd probably give you a good start.

And yeah, it is a huge library of options. I'm probably missing maybe a few archetypes, but not very many, that's for sure. So yeah, I'm that one person who nobody can really guess what deck I'm going to play against them...partially because I myself choose randomly out of the ones I have built by closing my eyes and choosing one at random. >.>

Oh sweet! I'd appreciate it! I've got one '14 or 15 year, Decklist vid for it. But a link for a good decklist fitting the Rank 10's would be great. Looks quite interesting from cards and bits I've seen in my search for the decklist.

Haha that's epic!

I can't quite find the decklist I used before, even though I could've SWORN I had it bookmarked, so I'll just list off what my deck currently consists of for you, so you can work off of that. :p
Monster Cards

Night Express Knight (3)
Derricrane (3) This + Night Express Knight is one of the MAIN combos of the entire deck.
Exodius The Ultimate Forbidden Lord (2)
Ruffian Railcar (3) Target for Revolving Switchyard, powerful level 4, machine type, and a train. Yyyyep.
Malefic Cyber End Dragon (2) A MALEFIC?! Oh wait, it's a level 10 monster that can easily be special summoned. Carry on then.
Tragoedia (2) This thing...is actually quite evil. It can be special summoned from your hand when you take battle damage from a direct attack and gets attack based on the amount of cards in your hand, plus you can discard a card and change its level...and then steal an opponent's monster with level = to its current level if you want. Permanently. So it's an instant XYZ monster.
Maxx "C" (1) THE BEST DRAW MEME 10/10
Metaion The Timelord (2) It's a level 10, ok. It can be normal summoned without tributes, good. It's...practically invincible. Uhh... It also takes no battle damage from attacks... Well ok then. And whenever it attacks or is attacked, when the battle phase ends it...returns all monsters on the field except itself on the hand and deals 300 for each. Yeah this thing is EVIL.
Express Train Volley Olley (1) It's...uh...eh, not that good, but it's another card with SOME use.
Spell Cards

Revolving Switchyard (3) Literally the card that makes this deck work.
Terraforming (3) You NEED Switchyard
Dark Hole (2) You CAN use this without destroying your own monsters in this deck! Yes!
Raigeki (1) Well duh.
Forbidden Chalice (2) Good offensively, good defensively. Generally useful.
One Day of Peace (1) No damage against you, plus an extra card...just don't try to attack the turn you activate this card...
Galaxy Cyclone (2) It's a decent spell/trap remover.
Mystical Space Typhoon (2) Another decent spell/trap remover.
Special Schedule (2) A necessity.
Trap Cards

Bottomless Trap Hole (1) An essential...
Torrential Tribute (1) Risky, but potentially devastating.
Ring of Destruction (2) Feel the pain. Also hilariously good if your opponent steals your incredibly powerful monsters.
Metal Reflect Slime (3) A level 10 trap monster which allows it to be used as an XYZ material for your rank 10 xyz monsters.
Solemn Warning (1) The old man says no.
Extra Deck

Cyber End Dragon (2) Because of Malefic Cyber End Dragon...of course.
Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Super Dora (3) The best rank 10 XYZ
Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max (3) The best burn XYZ...erm...second best.
Super Robot Galaxy Destroyer (2) This card causes pain, lots of it.
Skypalace Garandai (2) Did I get the name right? I think I got it right.
Number 35 (2) For our next card...
Number 77 (1) This card is evil. Not surprising considering its actual name.

Yep. It allows me to be an absolutely hilariously difficult to predict person just because even I don't know what I'm going to pick. It's a lot more useful than it should be to just be able to switch things up on the fly. :p

I've been reading up on Gimmick puppets, because that deck looks cool and caught my eye. Plus from my Naruto days of liking the "Puppet master" fighting style and jutsu. The Gimmick puppets really caught my interest for that reason alone too. Admittedly.

Currently reading up on their style of play and tactics.

Sweet! Thanks. It's looking good and I know this a obvious observation...... But damn Cyber dragon cards get around xd I've seen several non cyber dragon deck-decklists this week online. Practically anything machine has them. Understandingly enough, but wow.

Haha that would be a epic character actually. Quite interesting and funny while full of surprises.

...As someone who used to play Gimmick Puppets I can practically guarantee that what I'm about to say is true. They are take FOREVER just to be able to use decently... They're an interesting rank 8 engine that uses Argent Chaos force etc. to be pure evil... at least, when they can actually SUMMON ANYTHING.

Not even just in machine decks! People sometimes run machines in their non machine decks specifically for Cyber Dragon monsters! It's hilarious how much Cyber Dragons refuse to die! :p

Now that I think about it, it would make a cool RP character too. Plus it'd make the character's strategy something that I do all the time...choose randomly and hope for good luck!

Yeah I saw that too. The wikia contributor who wrote a deck list for it, said the same though that person still loved the deck. But they said pretty much the same as you. Kinda sucks but least the Gimmick of these Gimmick puppets seems interesting but not quite something I'll play anytime soon. I like pace but that might be even too long for my tastes. Perfect tactics and moves basically or else your doomed.

Lol Cyber dragons have become immortal. That's just too much, machine decks least make sense, but non machine seems over doing it. Unless people just love it enough to put it with anything. Still too much In Cybers case from what I've seen and your saying. Hilarious indeed.

There you go! Haha. basically your Rping yourself and making it real for you. Combing online dueling with Rp. The decks are already there in storage to pick from so never have to build one or decide on a single deck for one character to stick with throughout.

But the idea sounds cool and sounds like fun way to duel, outside of Rp.

Edit: Not sure why I double quoted. Or how that happened.xd

The hilarious thing is...Gimmick Puppet XYZ monsters are best in a GALAXY-EYES or BLUE-EYES deck. Granted you won't be using their Chaos forms much...but still...

Yeah, Cyber Dragons are the ever immortal. I guess that they're either just that powerful, or just that well liked. Or both. I think both. :p

Here's a funny story, so, one time I was going up against someone who for some reason was playing meklords, which are literally anti-synchro and good for nothing else. Want to know the deck I ended up randomly picking? Blackwings...you know...a synchro spam deck. So in other words I picked the literal worst possible deck to play against theirs. That happens not nearly as much as me getting lucky with my choices, but, it's hilarious every time it does.

Chitty chatty I see. XD
Yep. I suppose the reason I'm so chatty is partially because I have no idea what to do with my characters right now, partially because I'm procrastinating on making my third character, and possibly because it's 1:00 AM here and I can not fall asleep for some reason. :p

Oh? You're thinking of making a 3rd character for the RP? Awesome! It's 2AM over here. I'm used to being up all night. I'm a night owl. I should really work on my reply to the duel, but I haven't figured out what Yasuo can do yet. RIP me and my brain going blank on me.

Huh. 1 hour time gap between us. But yeah, I'm planning on making a 3rd character...who is not going to be another member of the Cassius family. :p But yeah, I'm used to staying up until around 12:30/12:45 then falling asleep/passing out, but today I just can not get to sleep for reasons unknown to me. T_T

Oh? Ya got me curious about this new character pal. And indeed! One hour time gap between us indeed. Just not tired for some reason I'd think? For me, I normally go to bed between six-eight AM. Yesterday I was up until 9:30AM 'cause I was watching Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged. XD

Puppets and dragons? Xd that's just odd sounding on its own. Makes sense to what your saying in terms of best fit play wise. But Puppets and Dragons just seem like the oddest combo though it has nothing to do with actual tactics in why it sounds so odd to me.

Yeah that's true

Haha nice. Good ol stories from the deck choices and duel outcomes. Definitely would be hilarious when that does happen.

I see you two are havin' fun chattin' up a storm over here. XD
Yep. Xd Yugioh, Sports, Wrestling, Dragon Age and some others are topics that can get me talking up a storm.

No Rush Kit! I've got some replies to work on too, mainly just one for a 1v1 Rp I've been doing since my return to activeness on RPN. Getting myself back into Rp and writing form. But find myself quite distracted with RL, and a number of things.

Also need to figure out what to do with TY, Since the duel never really happened with the departure and auto win for the young guy. JK I should try to involve more some how too.

And maybe intro that NPC at some point. Thinking of Rank 10 and Batteryman as two of his decks. Not sure what to do with him though. Or if a CS will be coming anytime soon unless I can find the old thread he's in.

I'm rambling..... But no worries on the reply. Whenever your good to go and know what to do with Yasuo's move, I'm cool with it.

XD
6-8 AM?! How can you stay up that long?! If I stay up past 3:00 AM I have a tendency to just pass out completely. Then again that might just be me due to...I have no clue. .-. Also Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged is the absolute best. Too bad it's the only Yugioh abridged series still around on Youtube anymore. :p It's also the source of nearly all of the currently well known Yugioh memes!

It really is a bit of a random combination isn't it. :p

I have a lot of funny duel related stories...most of which were either caused by my own mistake or involve my opponent doing something so utterly nonsensical that I had to wonder if they were even thinking. Half of the latter type of story still confuse me. @.@
Also need to figure out what to do with TY, Since the duel never really happened with the departure and auto win for the young guy.
I could have Alexander interact with him if you want...since I have absolutely nothing to do with him right now anyway. :p

Yep it really is.

Haha. Sounds like a host of good tales. How nonsensical were the moves? A newbie to online dueling sites level where they seem to be figuring out the system and keys for the site? I've done that personally myself when I was new to the online dueling scene and etc. RIP Duel Network.

Or were they more of literal... That card at this time made no sense and just wrecked yourself kind?

Sounds good to me. Was Alexander the one starting to watch the duel between Ty and John's character-Will? Seems like it was one of your characters, but I honestly can't recall now.

Nonsensical as in attacking a monster with 25000 attack power with a 3000 attack power monster when they had 1000 life points left being a tame example. And this was on YGOPRO where most people at least know something about dueling... And it's a simple click interface there, no complicated keys or anything. :p It's like actual Yugioh video games in how simplistic it is to use.

And yep, Alexander was the one 'hiding' nearby and watching the duel.
